23501. Rescued by Football, Ex-Alcohol Addict Gives Back to Society In Most Heartwarming Way
- Pankaj Mahajan from Maharashtra was only in Class 4 when he started chewing tobacco and smoking beedi. His future seemed dismal until football rescued him. With an alcoholic father and a disabled mother in the house, Pankaj dropped out of school to earn a living. He did not see a future for himself until his mother was severely hurt in 2011.
- As a coach, Pankaj has also spread social messages among the girls under ‘Shakti Girls’ project across 25 villages. He uses football exercises and techniques to educate the girls on menstrual hygiene, education, gender equality, etc, something that he was learning just a couple of years ago.
- Pankaj has come a long way from battling an addiction to now making a difference in other children’s lives. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Arts from Indira Gandhi National Open University and he will for the first time attempt to write the paper in English.
23502. Railways starts to run 4 Rajdhani Express trains with new upgraded Tejas Rakes
- Indian Railways has introduced a new era of train travel experience with enhanced comfort with the conversion of Rajdhani Express coaches with new upgraded Tejas Trains
- Currently, Railways is operating four Rajdhani Trains with Tejas Sleeper Coaches. The introduction of this modern Tejas Sleeper type train for long-distance journey is another paradigm shift by Indian Railways for enhancing the travel experience for the passengers.
- AIR correspondent reports that the first Rajdhani upgraded with Tejas rake was introduced in July this year by Western Railway on the Delhi-Mumbai route.
23503. 142 crore 73 lakh vaccine doses provided to states, UTs so far
- more than 142 crore 73 lakh COVID vaccine doses have been provided to States and Union Territories so far.
- As part of the Nationwide Vaccination Drive, government has been supporting the States and UTs by providing them COVID vaccines free of cost.
- Health Ministry today said that over 16 crore 66 lakh unutilized vaccine doses are still available with the States and UTs to be administered.
23504. Nuclear capable ballistic missile Agni P successfully tested off Odisha coast
- Agni P is a new generation advanced variant of the Agni class of missiles with range capability between 1,000 and 2,000-km
- The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) conducted the test from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam island off the coast of Odisha, the Ministry of Defence said. The first successful test had been carried out from the same place on June 28 this year. Agni P is a new generation advanced variant of the Agni class of missiles with range capability between 1,000 and 2,000-km
- The ballistic missile weighs 50 percent less than Agni III and has new guidance and a new generation of propulsion. Since the missile is canisterised, it can be launched from rail and road and stored for a longer period and transported all across the country as per operational requirements.
23505. प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने किया गंगा एक्सप्रेस वे का शिलान्यास
- शाहजहाँपुर. प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने उत्तर प्रदेश के शाहजहांपुर में 36 हजार 230 करोड़ रुपये की अनुमानित लागत से बनने वाले प्रदेश के सबसे लंबे ‘गंगा एक्सप्रेस वे की शनिवार को आधारशिला रखी।
- मोदी ने कहा कि गंगा एक्सप्रेस-वे उत्तर प्रदेश में रोज़गार के नए अवसर पैदा करेगा। साथ ही विकास को नयी दिशा और गति मिलेगी। वह दिन दूर नहीं जब यूपी की पहचान सबसे आधुनिक राज्य के रूप में होगी। विकास के ये काम राज्य के लिए वरदान साबित होंगे।
- संगम नगरी प्रयागराज से मेरठ के बीच 594 किमी लंबा गंगा एक्सप्रेस वे न सिर्फ पूरब और पश्चिमी उत्तर प्रदेश की दूरी को कम करेगा बल्कि कई राज्यों को भी उत्तर प्रदेश के करीब लायेगा। इसका फायदा राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र (एनसीआर) के अलावा हरियाणा, मध्य प्रदेश, छत्तीसगढ़ समेत कई अन्य राज्यों को मिलेगा। पूर्वी यूपी से लेकर पश्चिमी यूपी के 12 जिलों से गुजरने वाले इस एक्सप्रेस वे के किनारे औद्योगिक गलियारे से लेकर कई अन्य आर्थिक गतिविधियों को बढ़ावा दिया जा रहा है।
23506. In A First, Drone Delivers 300 Covid Vaccines To Remote Village In Maharashtra
- Maharashtra Drone Vaccine Delivery: "A batch of 300 vaccines was transported from Jawhar to Zaap village. The task, which would have taken over 40 minutes, was completed in little over 9 minutes. The vaccines were delivered at the local public health centre," the district administration said.
- The experiment, which was successfully carried out, is probably the first of its kind in the state, district collector Dr Manik Gursal, who coordinated in the trial, said.
- As part of the exercise, a batch of 300 vaccines was transported from Jawhar to Zaap village. The task, which would have otherwise taken more than 40 minutes, was completed in just a little over nine minutes. The vaccines were delivered at the local public health centre," the district administration said

- एचयूएल के चेयरमैन संजीव मेहता ने 1200 करोड़ के निवेश का एलान किया। अमिटी यूनिवर्सिटी के चांसलर डा. अतुल चौहान ने उच्च शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में 300 करोड़ रुपये के निवेश का ऐलान किया।
- इसके अलावा मोहिंदरा एंड मोहिंदरा ग्रुप के आनंद जी मोहिंदरा ने राज्य में अपने ग्रुप की तीसरी ट्रैक्टर यूनिट की घोषणा की

23510. 2 साल में 1.5 अरब भारतीय इंटरनेट से जुड़ जायेंगे, चीन ने कम किया Internet का इस्तेमाल
- भारतनेट परियोजना के साथ ग्रामीण इलाकों में घरों को जोड़ने से अगले दो साल में भारत का इंटरनेट यूजर आधार दोगुना हो जायेगा. यानी यह 1.5 अरब पर पहुंच जायेगा. उन्होंने कहा कि पूरी दुनिया में चीन नहीं, बल्कि भारत के पास सबसे अधिक इंटरनेट पहुंच है.
- देश में फिलहाल 80 करोड़ लोग इंटरनेट से जुड़े हुए हैं
