23481. Trifecta Capital invests Rs 400 crore in four Indian tech companies
- Trifecta Capital said it has invested Rs 400 crore (about $53 million) across four companies from its maiden equity fund, Trifecta Leaders Fund - I.
- The fund has invested in ixigo, Good Glamm Group (MyGlamm), API Holdings (PharmEasy), and Meesho, in line with its strategy to back growth to late-stage category-leading tech companies.
- Ixigo is a multi-modal travel platform, while Good Glamm Group is a D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) beauty and personal care company and Meesho is a social-commerce company

23482. Dhani Services to raise Rs 1,200 crore from General Catalysts, others
- General Catalysts will invest Rs 375 crore in the fintech enterprise of Indiabulls founder Sameer Gehlaut, who also pitched in an equal amount. Ribbit Capital has also come on board, as have Think Investments and First Royalty Ventures.
- Dhani is a primary healthcare and transactional finance platform.
- The company claims that it has over 30 lakh paid monthly subscriptions and more than 90 lakh monthly active users.

23484. India at halfway mark in meeting the export target of $400 billion
- The government set an export target for the current financial year.
- India seems to be well on its target to reach the target of $400 billion worth of exports for the current financial year.
- The country has almost reached the halfway mark (49.5 per cent) by the end of September 30, said Srikar K. Reddy, Joint Secretary, Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

- The real Engineering goods shipments crossed $9 billion for the third month in a row in September with 22 out of 25 top export destinations such as China, UK and UAE recording positive growth.
- Share of engineering goods in total merchandise export was 26.65% in September 2021.
- As per EEPC India analysis of exports figures for the month of September, iron and steel exports jumped 136% year-on-year to $2.2 billion

23486. 157 new medical colleges approved by Centre since 2014
- Under the Centrally Sponsored Schemes, the Central Government has also provided about over two thousand 451 crore rupees for upgradation of existing state government or central government medical colleges to increase MBBS seats in the country.
- Under three phases of the scheme, 157 new medical colleges have been approved, out of which 64 medical colleges are already functional.
- Health Ministry said, out of 157 new medical colleges, 39 are being set up in Aspirational Districts.

23487. आईटीसी ने तमिलनाडु में पहला ऑफसाइट सौर संयंत्र शुरू किया
- 76 करोड़ रुपये के निवेश से तमिलनाडु के डिंडीगुल में अपना पहला ऑफसाइट सौर संयंत्र चालू किया है।
- कंपनी ने एक बयान में कहा कि 14.9 मेगावाट का सौर संयंत्र कार्बन डाइऑक्साइड उत्सर्जन को कम करने में मदद करेगा और इसके साथ ही आईटीसी तमिलनाडु में अपने परिचालन संबंधी 90 प्रतिशत ऊर्जा जरूरतों को नवीकरणीय स्रोतों से हासिल कर रही है।
- कंपनी ने कहा कि आईटीसी के चेयरमैन संजीव पुरी के नेतृत्व में 'संवहनीय 2.0' परियोजना के तहत 2030 तक संपूर्ण ग्रिड बिजली जरूरत को नवीकरणीय स्रोतों से हासिल करेगी।

- बीते साल सीहोर जिले में तीन लाख 90 हजार हैक्टेयर वर्ग क्षेत्रफल में रबी की बुबाई का लक्ष्य निर्धारित किया गया था। इसमें दो लाख 90 हजार हैक्टेयर में मुख्य फसल के रूप में गेहूं और सहायक फसल के रूप में चने की बुबाई 82 हजार हैक्टेयर क्षेत्रफल में की गई थी। कोरोना काल में गेंहू का उत्पादन 60 से 65 क्विंटल प्रति हैक्टेयर दर्ज किया गया है, जबकि जिले में गेहूं का औसत अनुपात 45 क्विंटल प्रति हैक्टेयर आंकलित है।

- Dr. Kumar also praised the grit and determination of the BRO personnel for the construction of Umling La Pass, Atal Tunnel and Zojila Pass recently.
- BRO for contributing immensely in national building by constructing strategic infrastructure including roads, bridges, tunnels and airfields along the border areas. This has bolstered the operational preparedness and facilitated speedy movement of equipment and personnel to far-flung areas.

- Chairman of Defence Research and Development Organisation Dr. G Satheesh Reddy handed over technology for indigenous extreme cold weather clothing systems to five Indian companies.
