1051. ‘Exposes duplicity’: India slams Pakistan over Masood Azhar public appearance, demands action
- India on 6 December 2024 called on Pakistan to take decisive action against Masood Azhar, the mastermind behind the 2001 Indian Parliament attack and the 2019 Pulwama attack, following reports that he addressed a gathering for the first time in two decades.
- Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal demanded strong action against him, saying, “If the reports are correct, it exposes the duplicity of Pakistan. Masood Azhar is involved in cross-border terror attacks in India.”
- Azhar, the leader of the Pakistan-based terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), who is also an UN-designated terrorist in his speech, vowed to renew jihadist operations targeting India and Israel in order to establish a global Islamic order.

1052. ‘Supreme irony that global epicentre of terrorism claims to be at forefront of fight against it’: India slams Pakistan at UNSC meeting
- India on 18 February 2025 lashed out at Pakistan saying the former has been a victim of terror acts induced by Pakistan through outfits like Jaish-e-Mohammed.
- Speaking at a UN Security Council meeting chaired by China, India’s Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish also said it is a “supreme irony” when the “global epicentre of terrorism” pats itself on the back claiming to fight against the menace.
- “Pakistan is a global epicentre of terrorism harbouring more than 20 UN-listed terrorist entities and providing state support to cross-border terrorism,” Harish said. “Hence it is a supreme irony when Pakistan pats itself on the back as being at the forefront of the fight against terrorism.
- India has been a victim of acts of terror perpetrated by this country through terror groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammed and Harkat Ul Mujahidin, among dozens of others,” he added.

1053. ‘Failed state which thrives on international handouts’: India slams Pakistan at UN for ‘baseless’ claims on J&K
- India on 27 February 2025, slammed Pakistan’s statements on Kashmir at the UN Human Rights Council, labelling them as “baseless and malicious”.
- Speaking before the Council, Indian diplomat Kshitij Tyagi, in his rebuke, accused Pakistan of spreading falsehoods propagated by its military-terrorist complex, undermining the credibility of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) by using it as a mouthpiece.
- “It is regrettable to see Pakistan’s so-called leaders and delegates continuing to dutifully spread falsehoods handed down by its military terrorist complex. Pakistan is making a mockery of the OIC by abusing it as its mouthpiece
- The union territories of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) and Ladakh will always remain an integral and inalienable part of India,” Tyagi said, while citing unprecedented political, social, and economic progress in the region since its abrogation of Article 370 in 2019.

1054. India Rejects Pakistan’s Kashmir Claims at UN, Calls Agenda “Parochial and Divisive”
- India has rejected Pakistan's "repeated references" to Jammu and Kashmir at the United Nations asserting that the region "was, is, and will always be an integral part of India." It condemned the nation for using the platform for its "parochial and divisive agenda."
- "India is compelled to note that the delegate of Pakistan has yet again resorted to unwarranted remarks on the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Such repeated references neither validate their illegal claims nor justify their state-sponsored cross-border terrorism.
- India further termed Pakistan's claims over J&K as "illegal" and called for it to vacate the region. "Pakistan continues to illegally occupy the territory of Jammu and Kashmir, which it must vacate," he said.

1055. India Labels Pakistan a “Rogue State” at UN, Cites Defence Minister’s Admission of Terror Support
- India slammed Pakistan at UN on 28 April 2025 , calling it a "rogue state fuelling global terrorism". Yojna Patel, India's deputy permanent representative to UN, said in New York, "The whole world has heard Pakistani defence minister Khawaja Asif admitting and confessing its history of supporting, training and funding terrorist organisations.
- It is unfortunate that one particular delegation (Pakistan) has chosen to misuse and undermine this forum to indulge in propaganda and make baseless allegations against India,” Patel said as she delivered a strong ‘right of reply’ at a hybrid launch event for ‘Victims of Terrorism Association Network’ (VoTAN) of UN Office of Counter-Terrorism.
- Pakistan’s delegate not only made a reference to the Pahalgam terror attack, but also reportedly said that it had credible evidence about the Jaffar Express train attack in Balochistan in March being sponsored by “its regional adversaries”.

1056. Experienced Decades Of Pak-Sponsored Terror Attacks: India At UN
- India on 23 May 2025 slammed Pakistan at the UN Security Council, saying it has experienced decades of Pakistani sponsored terrorist attacks ranging from the 26/11 Mumbai attacks to "barbaric mass murder" of innocent tourists in Pahalgam.
- India's Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish made these comments while delivering a statement at the UN Security Council Open Debate.
- "I am constrained to respond to the baseless allegations of the representative of Pakistan on a number of issues," Harish said in his statement at the debate on the theme 'Addressing emerging threats, ensuring safety of civilians, humanitarian and UN Personnel, journalists and media professionals and enhancing accountability mechanisms' under the agenda item "Protection of Civilians in Armed Conflict".
- "The victims of Pakistani terrorism have been predominantly civilians, since its objective has been to attack our prosperity, progress and morale. For such a nation to even participate in a discussion on protection of civilians is an affront to the international community," he said.

- While addressing UN Security Council, India's permanent representative to the UN, ambassador Parvathaneni Harish challenged Pakistan's credibility in discussing civilian protection, highlighting recent provocative actions by Pakistani forces.
- Indian ambassador detailed recent attacks by the Pakistani army that resulted in over 20 civilian deaths and 80 injuries, with deliberate targeting of religious institutions including gurudwaras, temples, convents, and medical facilities. "To preach at this body after such behaviour is grossly hypocritical," Harish stated.

1058. Undermines UN's credibility: Indian Defence Minister on Pak leading counter-terror panel
- Defence Minister has come down heavily on the United Nations for what he described as a shocking and ironic decision to appoint Pakistan as the Vice-Chair of the UN Counter-Terrorism Committee.
- In a strongly worded statement, minister said the move is akin to “making the cat guard the milk,” especially when the world knows Pakistan’s long-standing track record of sheltering and glorifying terrorists.
- Slamming the UN decision, Singh noted, “The most recent example is the appointment of Pakistan as Vice-Chair of the UN Security Council’s Counter-Terrorism Panel, a body formed after the 9/11 attacks. Everyone knows who orchestrated 9/11 and where the mastermind was found. Pakistan harboured him. This appointment seriously undermines the credibility of the UN’s counter-terrorism efforts.”

1059. India slams Pakistan at UN for deflecting from child rights violations
- India strongly rejected Pakistan's unwarranted aspersions over UN processes and attempts to deflect attention from atrocities committed against children in the country and rampant cross-border terrorism, asserting that the world has not forgotten the Pahalgam attacks.
- I am constrained to respond to the politically motivated remarks made by the delegate of Pakistan, one of the grave violators of the CAAC (Children and Armed Conflict) agenda, India's Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador P Harish said.
- The Secretary General's report on Children and armed conflict noted that a total of 99 grave violations against 86 children (27 boys, 14 girls, 45 sex unknown) were reported in Pakistan. A total of 13 attacks on schools were reported and insecurity had a negative impact on health workers.
- Harish said that children remain particularly vulnerable to indoctrination on violent extremist ideologies and radical terrorist recruitment. Member States should work together on the child protection agenda and counter-terrorism.

1060. India Slams Pakistan’s ‘Nefarious Agenda’ at UN Security Council
- India has strongly rejected what it described as Pakistan’s “nefarious agenda” at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), accusing Islamabad of attempting to deflect attention from its own human rights violations and state-sponsored cross-border terrorism.
- India’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish on Wednesday issued a sharp rebuttal during the UNSC’s open debate on Children and Armed Conflict (CAC), calling out Pakistan for misusing the platform and violating the Council’s agenda.
- Pakistan is casting unwarranted aspersions over UN processes and also smearing India at various discussions to pursue its nefarious agenda. We reject this attempt by Pakistan to deflect attention from the atrocities committed against children in their country, as highlighted in the Secretary-General’s report, as well as their rampant cross-border terrorism.
- The Indian envoy labelled Pakistan as “one of the grave violators of the CAC agenda,” citing not only the systemic abuse of children within Pakistan’s borders but also the impact of its military operations in Afghanistan’s border areas, where children have suffered casualties due to cross-border shelling and air strikes by Pakistani forces.
