1. Hygenco and Ameropa partner to boost Green Ammonia supply from India
- Hygenco Green Energies and Ameropa have signed a Term Sheet for green ammonia supply from their upcoming plant in India, aiming to boost India's green ammonia exports.
- Hygenco plans to produce green ammonia at Gopalpur port in Odisha, with the first phase expected to produce 600 tonnes per day by 2027.
- The project aims to reach a full production capacity of 1.1 MTPA of green ammonia by 2030, with the second phase doubling capacity to 1200 TPD by early 2028.
- Hygenco, an Indian company, operates a commercial green hydrogen plant and plans to invest $2.5 billion in green hydrogen and ammonia projects over the next three years.

2. DRDO hands over Medium Range-Microwave Obscurant Chaff Rocket to Indian Navy
- The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) on June 26, 2024 handed over the Medium Range-Microwave Obscurant Chaff Rocket (MR-MOCR) to the Indian Navy at a ceremony held in New Delhi.
- Microwave Obscurant Chaff (MOC), a niche technology developed by DRDO’s Defence Laboratory in Jodhpur, obscures radar signals and creates a microwave shield around platforms and assets, thus reducing radar detection.
- The rocket, when fired, forms a microwave obscurant cloud in space spreading over a sufficient area, with adequate persistence time, creating an effective shield against hostile threats having radio frequency seekers.
- Indian Navy successfully conducted Phase-I trials of MR-MOCR, demonstrating MOC cloud blooming and persistence in space, and successfully demonstrated 90% Radar Cross-Section reduction of aerial targets in Phase-II trials.

3. Indian Army constructs 70-foot bailey bridge in less than 72 hours
- The Indian Army, with support from BRO and local administration, successfully constructed a 70-foot Bailey Bridge in Sikkim within 72 hours, addressing flood-related road disruptions.
- Construction of a bridge at Dett Khola, despite heavy rain and technical challenges, was completed on June 23, 2024 to link Dikchu to Sanklang and Chungthang.
- State Forest Minister and Disaster Management Secretary praise Indian Army's efforts in restoring connectivity and normalcizing flood-affected Mangan district, highlighting essential necessities and critical medical aid.

4. Global tyre makers accelerate make-in-India plans, buoyed by govt's PLI scheme
