1. Volunteer at Richmond church arrested on rape charges
- A man who volunteered at several East Bay churches has been arrested and charged with rape after allegedly abusing a girl for years,
- According to officers, the victim notified police on March 21, reporting that a church volunteer at St. Cornelius Church had sexually assaulted a girl.
- The victim stated the attacks occurred while attending music lessons at the church, where the suspect served as music director and also reported that the abuse began when girl was a minor and continued for years until girl reached adulthood.
- After months of investigation, police arrested 37-year-old Miguel Angel Villalobos on June 21 and booked him into jail. According to police, Villalobos has also worked at other churches in the Bay Area since 2010, including Saint Clement Church in Hayward and Queen of All Saints Church in Concord.

2. Former St. Maria Goretti Church staff member faces child sex crime charges
- A former school teacher and director of music at St. Maria Goretti Parish was charged with child enticement and sexual assault. A criminal complaint stated Marco Melendez, 39, of Milwaukee was the director of the Milwaukee Children's Choir when the crimes took place.

3. Pastor, 65, Arrested For Allegedly Raping 7-Year-Old House Help, Blames Wife’s ‘Fasting And Night Vigils’
- A 65-year-old pastor has allegedly raped his seven-year-old house help in Anambra State, South-east Nigeria. The suspect, Francis Ogwu, hails from Imo State but resides in Awka, Anambra State, according to a statement by Chidinma Ikeanyionwu, a media aide to the State Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Ify Obinabo.
- The media aide stated the suspect was arrested in response to an alarm raised by some residents in the neighbourhood that he had been raping the girl child.
- Ms Ikeanyionwu stated Mr Ogwu, a pastor and general overseer of Jesus House of Joy Church, Awka, has been arrested over the alleged crime. The suspect had allegedly raped three times, after which he gifted her between N500 and N1000.

4. Indiana youth pastor admits to having sex with teen girl inside church
- An Indiana youth pastor Bryan Crabtree, 35, of Sulpher Springs has been charged with three counts of child solicitation and one count of sexual misconduct with a minor.
- Police spoke to the victim, who told police her relationship with Crabtree began when she was a 14-year-old freshman at Shenandoah High School.
- The victim told police the relationship began with the two sharing pictures and videos, but the relationship eventually turned physical and allegedly continued until the victim was a freshman in college.
- The victim told police the two had physical relations "around 10 times or less" and that most of their physical relations occurred within the church
- Bryan Crabtree served as a youth pastor at Sulpher Springs Christian Church, in addition to being a substitute teacher with the Shenandoah School Corporation.

5. ED raids on church-linked operation mobilization group for PMLA violations
- The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Hyderabad, had conducted searches on 21.06.2024 and 22.06.2024 under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002 at 11 locations in and around Hyderabad in Telangana in connection with irregularities in the Operation Mobilization (OM) Charity Group.
- ED initiated an investigation based on FIR registered by Telangana CID against Operation Mobilisation group of charities and others for raising substantial funds of around Rs. 300 Crore from foreign donors (through Operation Mobilization and Dalit Freedom Network based in 19 Foreign Countries) in the name of providing free education and meals to dalit and downtrodden children, studying in more than 100 Good Shepherd Schools run by them, and diverting the said funds for asset creation & other unauthorised purposes.
- CID investigation revealed that suppressing the fact of sponsorship of students, tuition and other fees ranging from Rs. 1,000 to 1,500 per month were collected from the students and substantial funds were put into fixed deposits and/or diverted to other related entities of O.M. group.
- Funds were also received from the Government under the Right to Education Act but the same were not recorded properly and other incomes were grossly underreported in the books of accounts.
- ED investigation also revealed that FCRA registrations for most of the O.M. group entities were not renewed and to bypass the same, foreign funds received in FCRA registered ‘OM Books Foundation’ were diverted to other group entities as loans which are yet to be repaid.
