21241. Over Rs 1.25 lakh crore 114 multirole fighter aircraft project to be under Make in India: IAF chief Chaudhari
- Indian Air Force chief Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari on Tuesday said the mega project to induct 114 multirole fighter aircraft programme would be carried out under the Make in India project.
- He said the 114 aircraft would be key for the IAF to tackle the fall in the number of fighter aircraft squadrons as they would be used to replace the fleet of Mirages, MiG-29s and the Jaguars in the near future.
- "114 MRFA project would definitely be under the Make in India programme.. what route will be taken for it would be for the defence acquisition council to decide," he said in the press conference today.

- किसान सम्मान निधि योजना की नौवीं किस्त किसानों के खातों में ट्रांसफर की। इस पड़ाव में 9.75 करोड़ से अधिक किसानों के खातों में 19,500 करोड़ रुपए ट्रांसफर किए गए हैं।
- पीएम मोदी ने कहा, खाने के तेल में आत्मनिर्भरता के लिए अब राष्ट्रीय खाद्य तेल मिशन-ऑयल पाम यानि NMEO-OP का संकल्प लिया गया है।
- खाने के तेल से जुड़े इकोसिस्टम पर 11 हज़ार करोड़ रुपए से अधिक का निवेश किया जाएगा। सरकार ये सुनिश्चित करेगी कि किसानों को उत्तम बीज से लेकर टेक्नॉलॉजी, हर सुविधा मिले।

Hangthing, a resident of Nagaland's Noklak village, trekked across the state and into Assam thirty years ago to collect the seeds of fruits that people ate and threw away.Hangthing, on the other hand, is regarded as one of Nagaland's most diligent and forward-thinking farmers. He was the one who introduced the people to kiwi, litchi, cardamom, and a variety of other fruits and spices.
- In 1987, Hangthing began his journey. "In a 12-member farmer's family, I grew up fighting poverty. There were moments when we couldn't even afford two square meals, let alone the necessities of existence. I desired to be free of poverty," he shared, as reported by The New Indian Express.
- As Nagaland residents began to contact more with Assam's, he considered attempting the unthinkable: growing fruits, vegetables, and trees unfamiliar to Noklak residents. The district administration has recognised his contributions. The farmers can extract oil and create soaps, shampoo, juices, jams, ginger and garlic paste, and cardamom oil using a machine donated by the administration to Hangthing.
21244. Make-in-India drone ferries COVID vaccines in Manipur, a first in South Asia
- The Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya launched ICMR’s Drone Response and Outreach in North East (i-Drone) -- a delivery model to make sure that life-saving COVID-19 vaccines reach everyone – on October 4. For the first time in South Asia, a ‘Make in India’ drone transported COVID-19 vaccines over an aerial distance of 15 km in 12-15 minutes in Manipur on October 4.
- First #MakeInIndia drone, which has a capacity of 900 vaccine doses, was used for delivery across a distance of 31 km, from Bishnupur to Karang Island in Manipur.
- Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mandaviya said, “Under his leadership, the nation is progressing at a great pace. Today is a historic day, which showed us how technology is making life easier and bringing social change.
21245. Modi launches phase-II of Ujjwala gas connection scheme for the poor
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 10 said it was unfortunate that people had to wait decades for basics like hospitals, roads and electricity, indirectly targeting the previous governments as he launched the second phase of the Ujjwala cooking gas scheme.
- Mr. Modi launched the second phase of the nationwide Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), or Ujjwala 2.0, by virtually presenting cooking free LPG connections to some beneficiaries in Mahoba in Uttar Pradesh .
- He said crores of toilets have been built across the country under the Swachh Bharat Mission and pucca houses constructed for the poor under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

- देसी लाइट की चाइनीज लाइट से 50 से 60 फीसद अधिक कीमत के बावजूद लोग इसकी खरीदारी कर रहे हैं। क्योंकि, अगर ये लाइट खराब होते हैं तो इसे ठीक किया जा सकता है।
- दुकानों में थोड़ा-बहुत चाइनीज सामान भी दिख रहा है, दुकानदारों का कहना है कि यह पिछले साल का बचा हुआ माल है। इस बार उन्होंने चाइनीज लाइट नहीं मंगाई है।

21247. Atmanirbhar Bharat: शाहजहांपुर में इंडियन इंडस्ट्रीज एसोसिएशन ने महिलाओं को दी बल्ब बनाने की ट्रेनिंग
- उत्तर प्रदेश के शाहजहांपुर जिले के कटरी क्षेत्र की 80 महिलाओं की एक ग्रुप को इंडियन इंडस्ट्रीज एसोसिएशन (Indian Industries Association) द्वारा दिवाली जैसे त्योहारों में इस्तेमाल होने वाले बल्ब और सजावटी बत्तियां बनाने के लिए ट्रेनिंग दिया गया है।
- इन महिलाओं को एलईडी बल्ब तथा त्योहारों में प्रयोग होने वाले बल्ब की झालर बनाना सिखाया गया है और इन्हें आर्थिक रूप से मदद भी की गई है। ये महिलाएं जो भी उत्पाद तैयार करेंगी, उन्हें बड़ी कंपनियां खरीदेंगी और उन्हें कच्चा माल भी उपलब्ध कराएंगी।
- पहले चरण में इस योजना को पूरे प्रदेश में लागू करेंगे इसके बाद अन्य प्रदेशों में भी विस्तार किया जाएगा, जिससे मातृ शक्ति सशक्तिकरण को बल मिलेगा और महिलाएं सशक्त होंगी।

- The YEIDA officials say that the park is likely to attract an investment of Rs 20,000 crore offering employment to thousands of people.
- IT experts feel that with huge investments in the IT and electronics sector, Noida would be seen competing with Silicon Valley in the US within a few years.
- Many leading companies in the IT and electronics sector have already invested heavily in Noida in the last four years due to the investor-friendly policies of the Yogi Adityanath government.

21250. Solar power projects create employment in UP
- The Solar Energy Policy 2017 provides open access to companies for the establishment of solar park and third-party sale of solar energy.
- Under the provisions of this policy, 100 per cent stamp duty exemption and 100 per cent exemption in electricity duty for 10 years is being given to investors through online single window clearance system.
- This has led to 11 private companies in solar energy sector set up their plants in seven districts of the state, namely Bundelkhand, Banda, Chitrakoot, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jalaun, Jhansi and Lalitpur to date. The solar power units are generating more than 550 MW of electricity daily.
