81. India trained 85,000 semiconductor engineers in 4 years under Semicon 2.0: Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw
- On March 3, 2026, Union Railway Minister announced that under the Government of India’s Semiconductor Mission, the 10-year target of training 85,000 semiconductor design engineers has been achieved in just four years, marking a major milestone in talent development.
- World-class EDA tools from Cadence, Synopsys, and Siemens have been deployed in 315 universities, enabling students to design real semiconductor chips that are fabricated and tested at the Semiconductor Laboratory (SCL), Mohali, providing end-to-end hands-on experience.

83. Ministry of Railways sanctions four projects across three states

84. Uttarakhand CM Dhami inaugurates Rs 147 crore development projects in Haldwani

- Domestic sales stood at 1,74,840 units including OEMs. Mini and compact segment sales declined to 76,624 units. April–February FY2025–26 total sales reached 2,197,462 units, with exports rising to 400,734 units year-on-year.

87. Rs 294.1 crore approved for landslide mitigation on Kiratpur-Manali NH

88. UPI Transactions Jump 27% To 20.39 Billion In February, Daily Volumes & Global Reach Continue To Rise

- Transaction value rose 22% year-on-year to Rs 26.84 lakh crore but declined 5.2% month-on-month from Rs 28.33 lakh crore in January, which had three additional days. Average daily transactions reached a record 728 million in February.

89. PM inaugurates first semiconductor plant: ‘Look what a Gujju can do with Re 1…’
