2321. ISRO successfully completes 1000-hr life test of Stationary Plasma Thruster for satellites
- On 28 March,2025, ISRO has announced the successful completion of a 1,000-hour life test on its 300mN (millinewton) Stationary Plasma Thruster that is developed for induction in the Electric Propulsion System of satellites.
- The induction of these thrusters will result in extensive mass savings thereby enabling the enhancement of transponder capacity in communication satellites, it said.
- "The test is a major milestone to demonstrate the reliability and robustness of the thrusters before induction into the satellites. The Electric propulsion System is proposed to be inducted and validated in the upcoming Technology Demonstration Satellite (TDS-01) of ISRO and will be used for orbit raising to the Geostationary orbit," it added.

2322. Germany’s $1.5 Billion Investment to Boost India’s Chemical Sector: Piyush Goyal
- On 29 March,2025, Commerce and Industry Minister announced that India is set to receive a major foreign direct investment (FDI) boost as a German company from the chemical sector has committed to investing $1.5 billion in the country.
- Germany is currently the ninth-largest investor in India, having injected approximately $15 billion in FDI between April 2000 and December 2024. This latest investment highlights the increasing interest of global firms in India’s manufacturing and industrial sectors.
- Minister called for a more robust arbitration framework to instill confidence among all stakeholders. He stressed the importance of popularising arbitration and mediation, particularly as India expands its manufacturing sector.
2323. Isro achieves milestone in semi-Cryo engine development with key test
- On 29 March,2025, ISRO announced that it made progress in the design and development of a semi-cryogenic engine, or Liquid Oxygen/Kerosene engine, with a high thrust of 2,000 kN.
- The 2,000 kN semi-cryogenic engine that will eventually power the booster stage of the LVM-3 uses liquid oxygen and kerosene as propellants, which are non-toxic and non-hazardous compared to conventional alternatives.
- The upgrade, along with an improved cryogenic stage, will enhance the vehicle's payload capability from 4 tonnes to 5 tonnes in Geostationary Transfer Orbit (GTO). The technology behind this engine is particularly challenging and is currently mastered by only a handful of nations.

2324. Make In India Scheme Feeds Food Processing Sector's Appetite For Growth, Employment Surges
- India’s food processing industry is experiencing significant growth, spurred by the Make in India scheme. Government figures highlight the sector’s potential for further expansion.

2325. Centre Clears Rs 62,000-Crore Deal To Buy Made-In-India Attack Helicopter
- On 28 March,2025, The Cabinet Committee on Security approved India's biggest-ever deal to procure 156 Light Combat Helicopters (LCH) worth over ₹62,000 crore from HAL for the Indian Army (90) and IAF.
- The helicopters, built in Bengaluru and Tumkur, will enhance operations along the China and Pakistan borders.
- The LCH, known as Prachand, is the only attack helicopter capable of operating at 5,000 meters, making it ideal for high-altitude missions. The deal aligns with India's Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.
2326. Centre releases Rs 240.5 crore to Tripura for urban planning reforms: CM
- On March 27, 2025, Tripura Chief Minister announced that the Ministry of Finance has released Rs 240.5 crore to Tripura to achieve urban planning reforms. This funding will be used to transform 20 Municipal and Nagar Panchayat areas across the state.
- Key Urban Development Projects: Water Supply & Flood Management – Improving water infrastructure and flood prevention systems. Solar-Powered Street Lights & High Mast Lights – Enhancing energy efficiency and street safety. CCTV Installation in All Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) – Strengthening surveillance and security. 2327. Centre sanctions Rs 43 Crore for Aqua Park in Tripura, aims to produce 5,000 MT fish: Minister
- On March 28, 2025, the Government of India (GoI) sanctioned Rs 43 crore for an Aqua Park in Tripura, as part of a Rs 100 crore project submitted to the Fisheries Ministry. The integrated aqua park will be developed on 500 hectares in the Bisnagar Gram Panchayat of Unakoti district. The project aims to produce 5,000 metric tonnes of fish annually.
- The state’s fish demand is 1,17,287.46 metric tonnes per year, but local production is 85,805.68 metric tonnes, leaving a deficit of 31,481.78 metric tonnes. This deficit is currently met through fish imports from other states and neighboring countries.
- With the Centre approving Rs 43 crore for the Aqua Park in Tripura, the state is taking a significant step towards self-sufficiency in fish production. This project will reduce the fish deficit, support local farmers, and enhance economic prosperity in the fisheries sector.

2328. Rs 1186.20 crore sanctioned for Assam-Manipur NH-37 expansion
- On March 28, 2025, the Government of India (GoI) sanctioned Rs 1186.20 crore for the four-laning of a 13-km stretch of NH-37, extending from Silchar (near Budha Nagar) in Assam to Jiribam in Manipur. This project aims to enhance regional connectivity and economic integration between Assam, Manipur, and Meghalaya.
- The upgraded highway will provide seamless access to Imphal via the Jiribam-Silchar-Ratacherra-Kalain-Jowai-Shillong route. Reduction in travel time will improve logistical efficiency and trade movement.

2329. GoI invests Over Rs 29 crore in J&K’s NHs to boost infrastructure
- On March 28, 2025, the Government of India (GoI) announced an investment of Rs 29,903 crore for the expansion and modernization of National Highways (NHs) in Jammu & Kashmir. This investment has resulted in the construction of 1,003 km of new highways over the past five years, improving regional connectivity and economic growth.
- Electronic monitoring systems have been deployed to enhance traffic surveillance and safety. The Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) has been installed on critical stretches, such as the Qazigund-Banihal section of NH-44/NH-1A. Mandatory road safety audits are being conducted at design, construction, and operational stages to reduce accidents.
- 200 accident-prone locations have been identified and corrective measures implemented, including, Enhanced road signage & markings. Crash barriers & speed control mechanisms. Long-term solutions such as road widening & junction improvements.
2330. Force Gurkha joins Indian Defence Forces, 2,978 units ordered
- On 28 March 2025 The Force Gurkha, an off-road SUV from India, has been officially added to the fleet of the Indian Defence Forces. force Motors has revealed that it has secured an order for 2,978 units of the Gurkha from these forces.
