23981. PM Modi to Inaugurate India's 1st World-Class Railway Station in Habibganj on Nov 15
- The state-of-the-art railway station has been revamped in the Public-private partnership (PPP) mode at the cost of Rs 450 crore. The Habibganj railway station is the first to have been prepared under private and public sector partnerships in the country.
- Ticket counters of the station have also been modernised and food courts have been set up. The station also has air-conditioned waiting rooms, retiring rooms, dormitories and a VIP lounge have been added as well.
- Habibganj railway station has been developed on the model of Germany’s Heidelberg railway station. The railway station has giant entertainment screens, while close to 700 passengers can wait for their trains at the premises.
23982. Indian Railways to set up coach factory on Bengal-Assam border
- The Indian Railways has decided to set up a rail coach factory on the Bengal-Assam border at a location that falls under the Alipurduar division of the Northeast Frontier Railway(NFR).
- This would be the first-of-its-kind factory in east and northeast India and is expected to generate considerable employment for residents of north Bengal and the neighbouring state of Assam. the factory was likely to come up somewhere in Kokrajhar, a district in Assam that shares borders with Bengal.
- The project is a part of the rail ministry’s ambitious target to start 100 per cent indigenous manufacturing of rail coaches by 2022.
23983. India’s engineering goods exports registered a growth of 52.4% during the month of June 2021
- Merchandise exports in June 2021 were USD 32.50 Billion, as compared to USD 21.91 Billion in June 2020, exhibiting a positive growth of 48.34 per cent. Indian engineering exports were on their upward journey in June, 2021 following the trend of the last two months.
- Engineering exports which stood at USD 6274.9 Million in June, 2019 and USD 5841.6 in June 2020 rose to USD 8903.5 million in June 2021.
- Cumulative engineering exports during April-June 2021-22 were to the tune of USD 24772.6 million, witnessing a massive growth of 82% vis-a-vis April-June 2020-21, and growth of 24.8% vis-a-vis April-June 2019-20.

23984. Made-in-India Renault Kiger Compact SUV Export Commences to Nepal
- Renault India has commenced exports of its sub-4 metre compact SUV Renault KIGER to Nepal.
- Renault KIGER is the latest SUV launched by Renault in India. The all-new Renault Kiger will be offered in Nepal through Renault’s distributor - Advanced Automobiles Pvt. Ltd, part of Vaishal Group which is one of the largest group in Nepal.
- Renault has an extensive coverage with 15 sales and 13 service outlets across Nepal.

23985. महाराष्ट्र से दुबई भेजी गई खास किस्म के केले की खेप, एपीडा की मदद से किसानों की आय बढ़ाने की कोशिश जारी
- महाराष्ट्र के जलगांव जिले से विशेष किस्म के केले को एपीडा की मदद से दुबई एक्सपोर्ट किया गया है. फाइबल और मिनरल से समृद्ध जलगांव केला की एक खेप दुबई भेजी गई है. तंदलवाडी गांव के प्रगतिशील किसानों से 22 मीट्रिक टन जीआई प्रमाणित जलगांव केले प्राप्त किए गए थे.
- सरकार का उदेश्य है कि किसानों के उत्पादों को एक अच्छा बाजार मिले और उन्हें उचित दाम प्राप्त हो, जिससे वे समृद्ध जीवन जी सके. इसी कड़ी में एपीडा की मदद से अलग-अलग प्रमाणित कृषि उत्पादों को दूसरे देशों को निर्यात किया जा रहा है.
- इस साल चीकू, कटहल, आम, लीची, जामुन, अंगूर और ड्रैगन फ्रूट जैसे तमाम फलों का निर्यात किया गया है, जिससे किसानों को लाभ मिला है. भारत में कुल उत्पादन में लगभग 25 प्रतिशत हिस्सेदारी के साथ दुनिया में केले का सबसे बड़ा उत्पादक है.

23986. GI certified Fazil mango variety from West Bengal exported to Bahrain: Commerce Ministry
- A consignment of GI certified Fazil mango variety sourced from Malda district of West Bengal was exported to Bahrain, the commerce ministry said on Saturday.
- The GI tag helps growers get premium price for the product as no other producer can misuse the name to market similar goods.
- Darjeeling tea, Tirupathi laddu, Kangra paintings, Nagpur orange and Kashmir pashmina are among the registered GIs in India.

23987. India exports 4.75 mn tonnes of sugar so far this year: AISTA
- Mills have contracted to export 5.9 million tonne of sugar so far as against the 6 million tonne quota assigned by the food ministry in January this year, All India Sugar Trade Association (AISTA) said in a statement.
- Additional 4,30,000 tonne of sugar has been contracted under OGL (open general license) route without subsidy support.
- Moreover, sugar export to Iran has started albeit in small quantity. About 6,982 tonne was shipped to Iran in June, it added.

23988. One Electric starts exporting electric motorcycles to Africa, eyes expansion
- One Electric has become one of the first Indian electric vehicles (EV) makers to export its vehicles to Africa as deliveries of its flagship motorcycle Kridn begin in Kenya, the company said Friday.
- The company plans to expand to four more African countries before expanding into South America and Europe in 2022.
- The firm is focusing on exports of 3000 models in its first yr.

23989. First commercial shipment of Mishri variety of cherries from Kashmir exported to Dubai
- APEDA assisted the shipment of cherries to Dubai by MS Desai Agri-Food Private Limited, a venture company of MS Innoterra, Dubai.
- Mishri variety of Cherries are not only taste delicious but also contain vitamins, minerals and plant compound with health benefits.
- The union territory of Jammu and Kashmir produces more than 95% of the total country’s production of commercial varieties of cherries in the country. It produces four varieties of cherry — Double, Makhmali, Mishri and Italy.

23990. Highest ever merchandise exports in a quarter (Q1 2021-22, USD 95 billion) in the history of India
- India sets a target of USD 400 billion merchandise exports in 2021-22 Despite COVID-19, labour-intensive sectors (engineering goods, rice, marine products, etc.) saw a rapid export growth
- Highest ever FDI inflow of USD 81.72 billion in 2020-21. Highest ever merchandise exports of USD 95 billion in Q1 of 2021-22 has been achieved in the history of India.
