22661. कभी 4 भाइयों ने शुरू की थी पान की एक छोटी सी दुकान, बना 300 करोड़ का डेयरी साम्राज्य
- 1993 में, जन्माष्टमी उत्सव के दौरान, भाईयों के मन में दुकान पर आइसक्रीम बेचने का विचार आया।
- शुरु में वे एक स्थानीय कंपनी से आइसक्रीम खरीदकर, कमीशन पर उन्हें बेचा करते थे। उनकी योजना सफल रही, इससे उनका मुनाफा काफी बढ़ गया। लोगों को आइसक्रीम पसंद आ रही थीं। इसी दौरान उन्होंने आइसक्रीम बनाना सीख लिया था और फिर इस क्षेत्र में एक कदम और आगे की तरफ बढ़ाते हुए उन्होंने अपनी खुद की आइसक्रीम यूनिट लगाने का फैसला किया। साल 1996 के बाद से वे अपनी बनाई हुई आइसक्रीम बेचने लगे।
- कंपनी ने नए डेयरी प्रोडक्ट्स लॉन्च किए और साल 2012 में कंपनी का नाम बदलकर, ‘शीतल कूल प्रोडक्ट्स प्राइवेट लिमिटेड’ रख दिया गया। भूपत ने बताया है कि तब तक उनकी यह कंपनी दूध और दूध से बने अन्य उत्पाद, जैसे- दही, छाछ, लस्सी भी बेचना शुरू कर चुकी थी। उन्होंने साल 2015 में फ्रोजन फूड, पिज़्ज़ा ,परांठा, स्नेक्स आदि में भी हाथ आजमाया।

22663. India hits an all-time monthly export high
- The Ministry of Commerce and Industry recently released the monthly goods export report of the country. According to the report, in December 2021, India exported 37.29 billion USD of goods, hitting an all-time monthly high.
- The country’s merchandise exports almost reached $300 billion in April-December, higher by 48.85% year-on-year and 26% against the same period in 2019, thus achieving three-fourths of its annual export target of USD 400 billion in the first nine months of FY2021-22.
- The US emerged as one of the biggest importers of Indian gems and jewellery in FY2021-22 as well, and its market for Indian diamonds also keeps expanding steadily

- 1. Bengaluru Aalya Vora’s ‘Sili-Dry’ and ‘Odor-Go’ can be used five times before they need to be discarded, and they have sold over 1300 units so far.
- 2. “We have been in the garment export business for almost 25 years. We knew that Silica sachets are used in water bottles, purses and other products to absorb moisture and started building on that information,” Nipa Vora, Aalya’s mom, told The Better India.
- 3. Aalya said despite those potential leads and having an idea about the material, a lot of research still needed to be done. “We experimented a lot with different materials. The existing moisture absorbing bags in the market cannot be reused. I wanted to develop a bag that could allow multiple usages,”
22665. IIT Guwahati develops 3D printing technology which can cut concrete use by 75%
- Researchers at IIT Guwahati have manufactured 3D printed urban furniture using local industrial waste to make construction materials. They have also developed cementitious mix compositions, amenable for 3D printing.
- This innovation is said to be able to cut down concrete use by 75%. The concrete printer was jointly developed by IIT Guwahati and Deltasys E Forming and can print components up to 1 m long, 1 m wide and 1 m tall.
- The team behind the research believes that the on-demand, on-site 3D concrete printing will definitely have a global impact on versatile construction applications and multi-billion-dollar markets worldwide.
22666. IIT Guwahati startup to perform drone show during Republic Day event
- An Indian Institute of Technology start-up, Drone Tech Lab, will be performing a drone show at Kamrup in a first-of-its-kind Republic Day event in the north-east region. These drones developed by the IIT Guwahati start-up have already been providing solutions for various domains like disaster management, agriculture, survey, and mapping.
- Their drone-based solution can identify and indemnify different pests at a pace of one hectare/4 hours through their custom-build solutions involving drone platforms, multiple band sensors and AI-based application tools.

22668. Airtel commissions 21-MW solar power unit in Maharashtra
- Airtel commissioned a new 21-megawatt solar power plant in Buldhana district of Maharashtra as part of its commitment to reduce carbon footprint and contribute to the global efforts to curb the effects of climate change
- The company expects the solar-powered unit to reduce 25,517 tonnes in carbon emissions annually. The captive power unit, spread over 80 acres, has been set up by Airtel in partnership with Avaada to supply clean energy to Airtel’s Nxtra data centres and switching centres in Maharashtra.
- Airtel has committed to reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 Green House Gas (GHG) emissions across its operations by 50.2 per cent by the financial year 2031, considering FY 2021 as the base year. Airtel has also committed to reducing absolute scope 3 GHG emissions by 42 per cent over the same timeframe.
22669. Karnataka's 'Ajji' Donates Land Worth Rs 1 Crore to Build School for Village Kids
- A 75-year-old lady from Kunikeri village, Haveri district in Karnataka, has just willingly given away everything she had so that the kids of the village get to study and play well. When she came to know that government officials were scouting for a space to build a school for the village children, she voluntarily gave away half of her land, an acre.
- After some time, the school committee was searching for land close by to build a playground for the kids. Huchchamma stepped in happily once again, gifting them the remaining piece of her land.
- Hunchchamma now works at the same school as a head cook for mid-day meals. When the school is closed, she works as a farm labourer in others people’s fields.
22670. India takes on China, Vietnam in electronics manufacturing; eyes $300 billion in local production by FY26
- India's counter-attack on China and Vietnam in manufacturing of electronics is set to get additional fire-power.
- On target is $300 billion in output over the next four years, including $120 billion reserved for exports; broadening of product-basket for incentives; specially crafted large industrial zones with modern facilities; and permissions for factories that may hold up to as many as 1 lakh workers with dormitories, kitchens, medical set-ups, and housing complexes
- The plan is to give scale to electronics manufacturing set up that would ultimately lead to creation of strong supplier eco-system, massive employment opportunities, and global servicing.
