821. India's electronics exports spike around 42% in first half of this fiscal
- On October 30 2025, It was reported that, During April-September 2025, India’s electronics exports rose 41.9% to USD 22.2 billion, compared to USD 15.6 billion in the same period of 2024, highlighting strong trade growth.
- Led by smartphone exports, which grew 58% to USD 13.38 billion, India’s expanding manufacturing ecosystem and government support have boosted its presence in global supply chains.
- In FY 2024-25, total electronics exports reached USD 38.6 billion, marking a 32.6% annual rise, positioning India as the world’s third-largest smartphone exporter.

822. Tripura Crosses 4 MW Mark in Rooftop Solar Power Generation; Installed in Over 1,200 Homes
- On October 31, 2025 It was reported that, Tripura achieved over 4 MW solar power generation through rooftop installations under the Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Muft Bijli Yojana, marking a key milestone in the state’s renewable energy mission.
- Implemented by Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL), the scheme enables households to generate solar energy, feed surplus to the grid, and earn directly, fostering community participation in clean energy production.
- 16,965 households registered, 1,210 installed systems, and 187 consumers sold power worth ₹53,514. The project promotes self-reliance, rural empowerment, and an eco-friendly, future-ready Tripura through decentralized solar energy adoption.
823. Assam Launches Cashless Healthcare Scheme For State Employees And Pensioners
- On October 29, 2025, in Guwahati, Chief Minister of Assam launched the cashless healthcare facility under AA-MMLSAY for government employees, pensioners, and dependents.
- The Assam government implemented the scheme through a self-sustaining, employee-contribution model, allowing cashless treatment at empanelled hospitals across Assam and India, while retaining the reimbursement system for a smooth transition.
- About 2.23 lakh employees and 6,172 pensioners are registered; ₹65 crore has been reimbursed so far; the scheme’s reach may grow to 8 lakh beneficiaries. The CM also announced a state Pay Commission for parity with central employees.

824. Odisha signs ₹12,200 crore MoU to develop two national waterways for bulk cargo logistics
- On October, 28, 2025, during India Maritime-2025 in Mumbai, the Odisha government signed an MoU to develop and operate National Waterways-5 and 64 for enhanced inland water transport.
- The MoU was signed among IWAI, Odisha government, PPA, and MCL; the project will be implemented through Inland Waterways Consortium of Odisha Ltd (IWCOL), with IWAI leading infrastructure development and clearances.
- With an investment of ₹12,200 crore, the project will enable coal and bulk cargo movement from Talcher to Paradip and Dhamra ports, reduce logistics costs, ease rail-road congestion, and promote eco-friendly transport.
825. India's installed power generation capacity crosses 500 GW
- On October 29, 2025, It was reported that, As of September 30, 2025, India’s total installed power capacity crossed 500.89 GW, with renewables contributing over 50%, marking a key step toward its clean energy transition.
- The Union Ministry of Power credited this achievement to strong policy support, investments, and collaboration across the energy sector, emphasizing India’s move toward a clean and self-reliant energy system.
- Non-fossil capacity reached 256.09 GW (51%), while fossil fuel stood at 244.80 GW (49%); India added 28 GW non-fossil and 5.1 GW fossil capacity in FY25, achieving its COP26 goal five years early.
826. Gujarat Pipavav Port signs MoU with GMB for ₹17,000 crore investment plan
- On 29 October 2025, Gujarat Pipavav Port Ltd signed a non-binding MoU with the Gujarat Maritime Board for proposed future investments of ₹17,000 crore at Pipavav Port.
- The investment plan, contingent on extending the port’s concession agreement beyond September 2028, focuses on infrastructure upgrades and capacity expansion in container, liquid cargo, and RoRo operations.
- The project will enhance multimodal connectivity-integrating ocean, rail, and road networks to northwest India-along with developing deeper waterfronts, advanced storage, and exploring strategic partnerships.
827. Maharashtra cabinet approves revised budget for Solapur-Tuljapur-Dharashiv railway line
- On 28 October 2025, the Maharashtra cabinet, chaired by CM , approved the revised ₹3,295.7 crore budget for the 84.4 km Solapur–Tuljapur–Dharashiv railway line, committing 50% state funding.
- The project, part of the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan, began in December 2023 and aims to connect Marathwada with western Maharashtra by March 2028, enhancing regional and religious connectivity.
- The rail line will link Tuljapur-one of the three and a half ‘Shakti Peethas’- benefiting devotees and boosting rural infrastructure; the cost revision follows the railway administration’s updated budget proposal.
828. Central nod for Cochin International Airport railway station project
- On 29 October 2025, the Railway Board approved building a railway station at Nedumbassery near Cochin International Airport Kerala, addressing a long-pending demand to enhance travel convenience for air passengers.
- Union Minister stated that he had earlier met Railway Minister , who assured speedy implementation after personally inspecting and identifying the proposed site last year.
- The project aims to improve airport connectivity and passenger convenience, with Kurian expressing gratitude to Prime Minister and Minister for their support in advancing the initiative.
829. PM Narendra Modi Sanctions ₹2 Lakh for Cancer Patient from Tripura Following MP Biplab Kumar Deb’s Appeal
- On 29 October 2025, it was reported that the PMO had sanctioned ₹2 lakh from the PMNRF on October 14, 2025, for the cancer treatment of Smt. Anita Paul Das of East Champamura, West Tripura, following a request by MP on September 18, 2025.
- The sanctioned amount was transferred through IDFC Bank directly to Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati, for advanced surgery and treatment as per PMNRF guidelines and permissible time limits.
- MP expressed gratitude to Prime Minister for the swift approval, while the PMO directed the hospital to commence treatment within one year and ensure strict utilization of the grant.

830. Arunachal CM Pema Khandu Inaugurates IOCL LPG Bottling Plant At Naharlagun
- On October 28, 2025, Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh inaugurated the newly commissioned IOCL LPG Bottling Plant at Papu Nallah, Naharlagun, Papum Pare district, to strengthen Arunachal Pradesh’s energy infrastructure and ensure steady LPG supply.
- The project, completed by IOCL and M/s B.A. Enterprises, was praised by Khandu for its efficient execution and dedication, with special recognition to late Bamang Raman and his wife, Bamang Amer, for their entrepreneurial spirit.
- Spread over 46,000 sq. meters, the plant has three 87-metric-tonne LPG bullets and can refill 3,000 cylinders per shift, benefiting 95 LPG agencies and reducing dependency on Assam after the Kimin plant’s closure.
