23471. प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने किया गंगा एक्सप्रेस वे का शिलान्यास
- शाहजहाँपुर. प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने उत्तर प्रदेश के शाहजहांपुर में 36 हजार 230 करोड़ रुपये की अनुमानित लागत से बनने वाले प्रदेश के सबसे लंबे ‘गंगा एक्सप्रेस वे की शनिवार को आधारशिला रखी।
- मोदी ने कहा कि गंगा एक्सप्रेस-वे उत्तर प्रदेश में रोज़गार के नए अवसर पैदा करेगा। साथ ही विकास को नयी दिशा और गति मिलेगी। वह दिन दूर नहीं जब यूपी की पहचान सबसे आधुनिक राज्य के रूप में होगी। विकास के ये काम राज्य के लिए वरदान साबित होंगे।
- संगम नगरी प्रयागराज से मेरठ के बीच 594 किमी लंबा गंगा एक्सप्रेस वे न सिर्फ पूरब और पश्चिमी उत्तर प्रदेश की दूरी को कम करेगा बल्कि कई राज्यों को भी उत्तर प्रदेश के करीब लायेगा। इसका फायदा राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र (एनसीआर) के अलावा हरियाणा, मध्य प्रदेश, छत्तीसगढ़ समेत कई अन्य राज्यों को मिलेगा। पूर्वी यूपी से लेकर पश्चिमी यूपी के 12 जिलों से गुजरने वाले इस एक्सप्रेस वे के किनारे औद्योगिक गलियारे से लेकर कई अन्य आर्थिक गतिविधियों को बढ़ावा दिया जा रहा है।

- Maharashtra Drone Vaccine Delivery: "A batch of 300 vaccines was transported from Jawhar to Zaap village. The task, which would have taken over 40 minutes, was completed in little over 9 minutes. The vaccines were delivered at the local public health centre," the district administration said.
- The experiment, which was successfully carried out, is probably the first of its kind in the state, district collector Dr Manik Gursal, who coordinated in the trial, said.

- इसके अलावा मोहिंदरा एंड मोहिंदरा ग्रुप के आनंद जी मोहिंदरा ने राज्य में अपने ग्रुप की तीसरी ट्रैक्टर यूनिट की घोषणा की

- भारतनेट परियोजना के साथ ग्रामीण इलाकों में घरों को जोड़ने से अगले दो साल में भारत का इंटरनेट यूजर आधार दोगुना हो जायेगा. यानी यह 1.5 अरब पर पहुंच जायेगा. उन्होंने कहा कि पूरी दुनिया में चीन नहीं, बल्कि भारत के पास सबसे अधिक इंटरनेट पहुंच है.

- New Delhi has been placed in the third position as the best capital city for a holiday, according to a study conducted by luggage storage firm, Bounce.
- The world-wide study included 69 capital cities across the world. It has been reported that the study looked at certain factors to come to the inclusion. These include, cost of hotel and transport; number of attractions; restaurants; and average temperatures and rainfall.
- New Delhi has been ranked among other world capitals such as Valletta, the capital of Malta, which is on the top position, and Abu Dhabi, which is on the second spot. Valletta earned 6.74 points out of 10, Abu Dhabi earned 6.24 points, while New Delhi on third spot earned 6.6 points. It was found that New Delhi has a total of 12409 cities

23478. Tata Power second quarter profit up 36 per cent at Rs 506 crore
- The net profit of the company in the quarter ended September 30, 2020 was Rs 371 crore, a BSE filing stated.
- Total income stood at Rs 10,187.33 crore in the quarter as against Rs 8,441.60 crore in the same period a year ago.
- Consolidated profit after tax was up 36 per cent due to savings in finance cost and better performance in Renewables Business, a company statement said.

- Adani Transmission has raised USD 700 million for its under-construction transmission asset portfolio.
- In a regulatory filing the company said it has raised USD 700 million for its under-construction transmission asset portfolio through the definitive agreements signed with leading international banks.

23480. Govt receives final dividend of Rs 6,665 cr from BPCL for Financial Year 2020-21
- The Union Government has received a final dividend of six thousand 665 crore rupees from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) for the Financial Year 2020-21.
