23421. Cabinet approves seven mega textile parks under PM-MITRA scheme, allocates Rs 4,445 crore for next five years
- With an aim to create world-class infrastructure with plug-and-play facilities that enable major investments in exports, the Cabinet on October 6 approved seven new mega textile parks.
- The parks are a part of the government's 'Farm to Fiber to Factory to Fashion to Foreign' push, and will generate 1 lakh direct & 2 lakh indirect employment per park, Textiles Minister Piyush Goyal said.
- The government estimates the cost of setting up each park at an estimated Rs. 1700 crore. "Of this, upto 30 percent of the project cost or Rs, 500 crore in greenfield parks, and upto Rs. 200 crore in brownfield parks will be provided by the government as development capital support

23422. घोषणा: रिलायंस रिटेल भारत में लॉन्च करेगी 7-इलेवन सुविधा स्टोर
- रिलायंस रिटेल वेंचर्स लिमिटेड (आरआरवीएल) ने अपनी पूर्ण स्वामित्व वाली सहायक कंपनी, 7-इंडिया कन्वीनियंस रिटेल लिमिटेड के माध्यम से, देश में 7-इलेवन सुविधा स्टोर लॉन्च करने की घोषणा की है। कंपनी ने इसके लिए 7-इलेवन, इंक. (एसईआई) के साथ एक मास्टर फ्रैंचाइज समझौता किया है।
- 7-इलेवन स्टोर का उद्देश्य खरीदारों को सुविधा की एक अनूठी शैली प्रदान करना है, जो विशेष रूप से स्थानीय स्वाद के लिए विशेष रूप से क्यूरेट किए गए पेय, स्नैक्स और व्यंजनों की एक श्रृंखला प्रदान करता है।
- साथ ही दैनिक आवश्यक चीजों की रिफिल के साथ, इसके मूल में सामथ्र्य और स्वच्छता है।

23423. MITRA पार्क से टेक्सटाइल सेक्टर में आएगा बड़ा निवेश, इससे निर्यात में मिलेगी मदद
- वस्त्र निर्यात संवर्धन परिषद (AEPC) के अध्यक्ष ए शक्तिवेल ने कहा कि देश में सात मेगा इंटीग्रेटेड टेक्सटाइल रीजन एंड अपैरल (MITRA) पार्क की स्थापना से इस क्षेत्र में विदेशी और घरेलू दोनों तरह के निवेश को आकर्षित करने तथा इसे विश्व स्तर पर प्रतिस्पर्धी बनाने में मदद मिलेगी
- केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने छह अक्टूबर को भारत को वैश्विक वस्त्र मानचित्र पर मजबूती से स्थापित करने के उद्देश्य से पांच साल के लिए 4,445 करोड़ रुपए के कुल परिव्यय के साथ सात मेगा इंटीग्रेटेड टेक्सटाइल रीजन और अपैरल पार्क की स्थापना को मंजूरी दी
- Mitra scheme के तहत पूरे देश में 7 मेगा इन्वेस्टमेंट टेक्सटाइल पार्क तैयार किए जाएंगे. टेक्सटाइल मेगा पार्क पर करीब 4500 करोड़ रुपए खर्च होंगे. इससे टेक्सटाइल और मैन्युफैक्चरिंग के क्षेत्र में बहुत बड़ी क्रांति आएगी

23424. UP attracts investment of over Rs 5000 cr in food processing sector
- The Uttar Pradesh government has attracted investment of over Rs 5,000 crore in the food processing sector from various national and international companies.
- The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) has allotted land for projects to companies such as AB Mauri, PepsiCo, ITC Limited and Coca Cola.
- UK-based company, AB Mauri, plans to invest Rs 1,100 crore in Pilibhit and Rs 400 crore in Chitrakoot district. Both these plants will manufacture baker's yeast and are expected to create employment opportunities for around 10,000 workers

23426. Air India privatisation LIVE: Winning bidder to be announced at 4 pm today; Air India may fly to Tata’s home
- Air India could finally find a new home today with either the Tata Group or SpiceJet’s Ajay Singh, after years of taxiing on the divestment runway.
- Air India is reeling under a debt of over Rs 60,000 crore. The debt-laden carrier has 127 aircraft, controlling 50.64% of the international market share when clubbed with AIXL, among Indian carriers.
- Air India currently serves 42 international destinations. The government is selling its entire stake in Air India. Tata Group already owns about 84% stake in AirAsia India and 51% in Vistara.

23427. Tata Motors to raise $1 billion to push EV play
- With Tata Motors is in advanced stages to raise $1 billion through a stock sale of its electric vehicle unit as it accelerates transition to plug-in cars.
- The proposed fund-raise will value Tata Motors’ electric vehicle unit at $8 billion and has attracted multiple private equity funds from the US, Middle East and Southeast Asia.
- In July, Tata Motors chairman N Chandrasekaran had told shareholders that the company would look to raise capital for the electric vehicle business and that it expects a quarter of sales to come from this business in the near future.

23429. सरकार का इरादा 2030 तक निजी कारों में ईवी की बिक्री हिस्सेदारी 30 प्रतिशत करने का: गडकरी
- सड़क परिवहन और राजमार्ग मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने कहा, "सरकार का इरादा 2030 तक निजी कारों में इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों की बिक्री हिस्सेदारी 30 प्रतिशत, वाणिज्यिक वाहनों में 70 प्रतिशत, बसों में 40 प्रतिशत और दोपहिया एवं तिपहिया वाहनों में 80 प्रतिशत करना है।
- अगर इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन बिक्री 2030 तक दोपहिया और कारों के खंड में 40 प्रतिशत और बसों के लिए 100 प्रतिशत के करीब पहुंच जाती है, तो भारत कच्चे तेल की खपत को 15.6 करोड़ टन कम करने में सक्षम होगा जिसकी कीमत 3.5 लाख करोड़ रुपये है।
- परिवहन क्षेत्र में कार्बन उत्सर्जन कम करने और अर्थव्यवस्था, पारिस्थितिकी और पर्यावरण के दृष्टिकोण से इसे सतत बनाने की तत्काल जरूरत है
