21826. India gets first hydrogen mixing station in Indore; here’s how it will cut carbon emissions
- India has several plans in the pipeline to hit its goal of net-zero carbon emissions by the year 2070. Apart from its plans to instal a 500-gigawatt (GW) renewable energy capacity by 2030, the country is seeking to reduce the carbon footprint of natural gas by mixing it with hydrogen.
- Under the National Hydrogen Mission, the country will also scale up production of zero-emission green hydrogen, which will be used as an alternative fuel with no emissions in large parts of the existing infrastructure.
- "In line with the National Hydrogen Mission, GAIL has started hydrogen blending as a pilot project to establish the techno-commercial feasibility of blending hydrogen in City Gas Distribution (CGD) network. - this transaction marks the largest single series issuance of Rs 500 crore in 10-year tenor by a renewable energy company.
- This bond issuance establishes a new yield curve for VRET, while also achieving significant elongation of average tenor as compared to the earlier Rs 1,000 crore bond issuance of VRET in November 2021 (4.8 years to 9.4 years).

21829. Chandigarh airport to get shuttle bus service soon
- Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) is soon going to start a shuttle bus service between ISBT-17 and Chandigarh International Airport, Mohali
- the bus would stop at Sohana and the ISBT-43 en route. The service will start from the ISBT-17 at 4.20 am and the operation will end at 11.40 pm.

21830. UBS in talks to invest $400 million in India's Paytm
- UBS is in talks to invest $400 million in Indian digital payments startup Paytm, according to Bloomberg.
- A fund run by UBS’s asset management arm is in discussions to buy a stake in Paytm alongside some of the Swiss bank’s clients, according to people close to the talks.
- UBS is negotiating the purchase of Paytm stock from a group of the Indian fintech company’s employees, the people said.
