- With $1 million in revenue, edtech startup Suraasa is making teacher education accessible, and providing lifecycle management for better employment opportunities.
- Suraasa helps teachers in meeting skill and certification requirements by virtue of its courses. Once ready, teachers are helped to get selected for international teaching jobs and the local teaching approvals for the target countries.
- “We put them in touch with government and private schools with better salaries. Basic salary may start as low as Rs 80,000 up to Rs 4 lakh per month," says the founder.

- Launched in 2019, Udaipur-based online jewellery startup Chokhahaar manufactures and curates silver jewellery and accessories, and is now eyeing the international market.
- The startup has got 100 orders since then, with an average order size of Rs 5,000 to Rs 6,000.
- However, the team, which is reinvesting the capital and revenue back into the business, believes the tide will turn and is eyeing further growth. Chokhahaar is also planning to expand its reach internationally.

- To address this pain point, IIT alumni Shubham Agarwal and Vikram Vijay started BharatClass in February, this year.
- The startup is based out of Satna, Madhya Pradesh and is designed to enable teachers and coaching institutes to set up a teaching app in just two clicks.
- It enables teachers and coaching centres to set up online virtual institutions in 30 seconds. It also features tools such as live class management, automatic attendance and secure content sharing.

- साल 1920 में जन्मी पद्मावती आज भी रोज़ाना तीन घंटे काम करती हैं। वह साड़ियाँ पर हाथ से पेंटिंग करतीं हैं और उन्हें अपने काम से बहुत प्यार है।
- वह शायद 60 की उम्र से ऊपर थी, जब उन्हें पहली कमाई मिली थी। वह एक साड़ी तैयार करने के लिए 11 हजार रुपये लेती हैं, जिसमें साड़ी की कीमत भी शामिल है और दुपट्टे के लिए 3,000 रुपये।
- सुबह साढ़े पांच से साढ़े छह के बीच उठने वाली पद्मावती सुबह चाय और ब्रेकफ़ास्ट के साथ अख़बार पढ़ती हैं। उनकी बेटी, लता बताती हैं, “इसके बाद, वह लगभग 10:30 बजे तक अपनी डेस्क पर काम के लिए बैठ जाती हैं और दोपहर 1 बजे के बाद ही उठती हैं।” साड़ी डिज़ाइन करना बहुत मेहनत का काम है और इसमें काफी वक़्त भी लगता है। लेकिन दादी अपने काम को बहुत बारीकी से करती हैं। आज भी वह साड़ी के लिए लेआउट बनाती हैं और फिर उसमें रंग भरती हैं। उनकी बेटी और बहुएं उनके लिए साड़ी लाती हैं, जिस पर वह काम करती हैं।

- नमकवाली, लगभग 10-11 महिलाओं का समूह है, जो पहाड़ों के सदियों से बनते आ रहे तरह-तरह के पहाड़ी नमक तैयार करती हैं, जिन्हें ‘पिस्यु लूण’ यानी कि पहाड़ों का नमक कहा जाता है।
- इस नमक को वह ऑनलाइन मार्केटिंग और कूरियर के माध्यम से देश के अलग-अलग शहरों तक पहुंचाती हैं।
- उनका नमक उत्तराखंड के कई शहरों के साथ-साथ दिल्ली, मुंबई, चेन्नई और अन्य मेट्रो शहरों में जाता है। लोग 100 ग्राम से लेकर 10 किलो तक भी आर्डर करते हैं। हर महीने वो लगभग 35 किलोग्राम नमक बेचतीं हैं।

- राजधानी रांची से करीब 30 किमी दूर ओरमांझी प्रखण्ड के उकरीद गांव की रहने वाली बीलो आज खेती से लाखों रूपये कमाती हैं।
- सुनीता अपनी माँ बीलो देवी के साथ समूह से कर्ज लेकर झारखंड हॉर्टिकल्चर माइक्रो ड्रिप इरीगेशन प्रोजेक्ट के तहत 0.25 एकड़ जमीन पर ड्रिप लगाने का काम शुरू किया।
- सुनीता बताती हैं, “टपक सिंचाई से पहली बार फूलगोभी की खेती की और करीब 1 लाख की बिक्री हुई जिसमें करीब 75 हजार शुद्ध मुनाफा हुआ। कुछ ही महीनों में इतनी कमाई देखकर मेरी मां बीलो ने भी माइक्रो ड्रिप इरिगेशन परियोजना से जुड़कर और 0.25 एकड़ में टपक सिंचाई से खेती करवानी शुरू की। आज हम सालाना 4 से 5 लाख रुपये कमा लेते हैं।”

- App developer Kundan Singh has made necessary adjustments to his flagship app Paper Scanner to ensure it is ready for the Indian market. Singh has been able to boost his app's popularity to 4000 downloads daily.

- In November 2017, the startup launched its cutting-edge AR product mirrAR 2017. The realtime product allows clients to provide access to a large inventory to its customers. This allows shoppers to try on jewellery on a digital platform, without having to actually wear these pieces.
- Its first client was PC Jewellers and it currently serves more than 150 clients, in more than 28 Indian cities, New York, Singapore, and Dubai.
- The AR-based startup recently raised Rs 3.5 crore in investments in its pre-Series A round.
