- Omidyar Network India, an investment firm focussed on social impact, on launched an initiative to invest in building solutions for MSMEs and migrant workers impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, earmarking funding between Rs 3.75 crore and Rs 15 crore per project.
- Through the 'ReSolve Initiative', Omidyar Network India seeks to create a portfolio of investments - selectively seeding new solutions or institutions and supporting investments with large demonstration effects, the company said in a statement.
- Omidyar Network India said the ReSolve initiative comes on the back of its recently-concluded 'Rapid Response Funding' initiative, which deployed Rs 10.75 crore to 67 proposals from across the country.

- इन दोनों ने मिलकर पहले यहां पक्की सड़क बनवाई। उसके बाद बच्चों के लिए पार्क और खेल का मैदान बनवाया। मिनली टैटो का कहना है कि उन्होंने यहां ड्रैनेज सिस्टम, पशुओं के रहने की पूरी व्यवस्था और नियोजित स्थान पर अनाज रखने का इंतजाम भी किया। इसके अलावा मॉडर्न टॉयलेट और बिजली का पर्याप्त प्रबंध किया ताकि यहां बसने वाले लोगों को हर सुविधा मिल सके। उसके बाद भी यहां कई काम करना बाकी है।

- Bengaluru-based startup, IDSign, a new-age Verifiable Digital ID and Signing platform, today announced the formal launch of its brand and its novel & India’s first-ever mobile- based application.
- Incepted in 2018 and backed by the team with strong experience and expertise, IDSign aims at revolutionizing the way identity management, digital verification and digital signing are done in India.

- Residents of Rakcham village, in Himachal Pradesh’s Kinnaur district, were happy about finally getting a doctor in October 2019 after months in their local Public Health Centre (PHC). But there were certain reservations. Dr Shilpa Kumar’s genuine efforts to make individual report cards for patients with diabetes and hypertension impressed the villagers, who were neglected till then. She focussed on people needing regular check-ups and minor trauma cases.
- After this wholehearted acceptance by 800 odd villagers, it did not feel right to leave the village and go home in Bengaluru during the nationwide lockdown in March owing to global COVID-19 pandemic.
- When cases were reported in the neighbouring village, Reckong Peo, Dr Shilpa started doing random checks on people not just in her village but also other villages from the Sangla block. At present, she has been temporarily transferred to Sangla due to lack of staff

- It’s 4.00 pm and Sanjeev Kumar, a resident of Bhatinda, is getting ready for his online session. A teacher of mathematics with over 18 years experience of teaching at various Kendriya Vidyalaya’s across India, Sanjeev is now at the forefront of a new role – digital educator.
- Since these online sessions that Sanjeev conducts are absolutely free of charge, he mentions that almost Rs 20,000 is put into these efforts each month from his own salary.
- The system is fairly straightforward. Students can send a Whatsapp message to 9464302178, mentioning the name of the student, class, and name of the school. Once these details are sent, the student will get a confirmation message and be added to a broadcast group. Details of the session will be sent out ten minutes before the session begins.

- Cellestial E-Mobility is a Hyderabad-based startup that was founded in May 2019, and is focussed on building innovative solutions that are cost-effective, yet environment friendly.
- In March 2020, they launched an eco-friendly electric tractor, which is suitable for doing work in agricultural fields, horticulture farms, greenhouses, moving goods within factories, and for hauling items from the field to warehouse.
- Its operating cost is much lesser than that of diesel tractors, and requires low maintenance.

- आज हम आपको एक ऐसे आर्किटेक्ट के बारे में बताने जा रहे हैं, जिन्होंने न केवल भारत में बल्कि दुनिया के अलग-अलग हिस्से में एक लाख से अधिक ग्रीन बिल्डिंग्स का निर्माण किया है। पद्मश्री से सम्मानित आर्किटेक्ट गोपाल शंकर को उनके सस्टेनेबल और इको-फ्रेंडली निर्माण के लिए जाना जाता है। सबसे महत्वपूर्ण बात यह है कि उनका सस्टेनेबल आर्किटेक्चर चंद लोगों तक सीमित नहीं है बल्कि वह आम आदमी के लिए प्रकृति के अनुकूल घर बनाते हैं। शायद इसलिए ही उन्हें ‘People’s Architect’ यानी कि आम आदमी का आर्किटेक्ट कहा जाता है।
- केरल के तिरुवनंतपुरम में उनका ऑफिस है और आज स्थानीय सब्ज़ी वाले, मछली पकड़ने वाले लोग उनके यहाँ आकर अपना घर डिज़ाइन करवाते हैं। शंकर इन लोगों के आर्किटेक्ट हैं, जिनके लिए घर बनाना एक ऐसा सपना होता है, जिसके लिए वह जिंदगीभर मेहनत करते हैं।
- उन्होंने आर्किटेक्चर के क्षेत्र में मशहूर आर्किटेक्ट लौरी बेकर से प्रेरणा ली। भारत में सस्टेनेबल आर्किटेक्चर की शुरूआत करने का श्रेय उन्हें ही दिया जाता है। शंकर ने उनके ही सिद्धांतों और सीख को समझा और आगे बढ़े। उनके बारे में वह कहते हैं, “उन्होंने भारत को समझा और निर्माण में भारतीयता को शामिल किया। गौर करने वाली बात है कि हमें भारतीय आर्किटेक्चर में गांधी जी के मूल्यों को शामिल करने के लिए इंग्लैंड के एक आदमी की ज़रूरत पड़ी। मैंने कभी उनके साथ काम नहीं किया लेकिन हमेशा उन्हें अपना मेंटर माना है।”

- Crestkiting Retails has developed a ‘Space Sanitizer’ device, which uses negative air ionization technology to disinfect and purify indoor air.
- It releases negative ions, which ionizes the harmful pathogens, making them heavy and deactivating them.
- Founded in 2019 by Navneet Pal and Ankit Sharma, Crestkiting Retails is involved in developing air purifying solutions for better quality of health for people.
- The startup was launched by the duo with an initial investment of Rs 10 lakh. Navneet says, the device has been tested in the iCreate Lab, and the startup is currently in the process of getting the product tested by NaBL-accredited labs to understand its effect on the SARV-CoV 2 virus, which causes COVID-19 infection.

- राजस्थान के हनुमानगढ़ जिले के किसान अनिल बिश्नोई की। अनिल बिश्नोई ने अपना जीवन वन्य जीवों के संरक्षण के लिए समर्पित कर दिया है। बीते तीन दशकों से वह इलाके में वन्य जीवों को बचाने की मुहिम में जुटे हैं। अनिल को जितना प्यार अपने बेटी-बेटे से है उतना ही स्नेह हिरण, मोर, तीतर, सूअर, नील गाय, खरगोश, लोमड़ी, सांपों और कछुओं से भी है।
- अनिल ने शुरुआत अपने गाँव लखासर से की। जैसे ही उन्हें हिरण के शिकार की आशंका की भनक पड़ती, वह मौके पर पहुँच जाते थे। शिकारियों को भगाने लगे। प्रतिरोध होने पर इधर शिकारी हतोत्साहित होने लगे तो उधर अनिल का मनोबल बढ़ने लगा। वह न केवल शिकारियों को शिकार करने से रोकते बल्कि शिकार कर लिए जाने पर शिकारियों के खिलाफ मुकदमे दर्ज कराने लगे। इस कारण क्षेत्र में लोग एक पर्यावरण कार्यकर्ता के रूप में उन्हें पहचानने लगे। आसपास और दूरदराज के गांवों से भी उन्हें शिकारियों के बारे में सूचनाएँ मिलने लगी।
- अनिल हर वक्त जीवों के बारे में सोचते हैं। उनकी हर जरूरत का ख्याल रखते हैं। गर्मियों में हिरणों के लिए पानी का संकट खड़ा हो जाता था। कई बार जल संकट का परिणाम हिरणों की मौत के रूप में सामने आता। गर्मियों में हिरण प्यास से न मरे, इसके लिए उन्होंने पानी का इंतजाम किया है। उन्होंने तीन साल पहले पानी के 60 एनिकेट (छोटे बाँध) बनवाए हैं। इस काम के लिए उन्होंने ग्रामीणों से निर्माण सामग्री एकत्र की और एनिकेट बनवा दिए। उन्हें कहीं भी घायल हिरण मिल जाता है तो वह उसे घर ले आते हैं उसकी मरहम-पट्टी करते हैं और स्वस्थ हो जाने पर स्वच्छ विचरण के लिए छोड़ देते हैं।
