- On 30 July 2025, it was reported that India’s tyre exports to the UK reached ₹732 crore in FY25, marking an 11% rise from ₹660 crore in FY24, driven by the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).
- The growth followed CETA, which eliminated all customs duties on Indian tyre and rubber exports to the UK, boosting market access and enhancing price competitiveness for Indian manufacturers.
- Exports to the UK have grown from ₹602 crore in FY23 to ₹732 crore in FY25. The deal also includes phased tariff cuts on UK tyre imports to India over 10 years, ensuring balanced protection and global opportunity.

1492. NISAR satellite, riding on a GSLV satellite, lifts off from Sriharikota

1494. "India's humanitarian support to the people of Syria continues": MEA on medical aid dispatch
- On 29 July 2025, the Ministry of External Affairs confirmed that India delivered 5 MT of life-saving medicines to Syria, including anti-cancer drugs and antibiotics, as part of its ongoing humanitarian outreach to support conflict-affected regions.

1497. DRDO conducts two consecutive flight-tests of Pralay missile to validate range precision
- The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has achieved a significant milestone by successfully conducting two consecutive flight trials of the 'PRALAY' missile on July 28 and 29, 2025 from Abdul Kalam Island off the Odisha coast.
- According to DRDO, both missiles followed their intended trajectories with precision and struck the designated target points with pinpoint accuracy. These tests were part of the User Evaluation Trials aimed at validating both the maximum and minimum range capabilities of the missile system.
- The PRALAY is a Short-Range Ballistic Missile (SRBM) specifically designed for battlefield use. Developed by the DRDO, it has been tailored to meet the operational needs of the Indian Army and Air Force. The missile comes equipped with several advanced features - Range, Payload, Fuel and speed and Mobility.
