991. Uttrakhand CM Dhami lays foundation for ₹55-crore road project
- On Sep 25, 2025 , Uttrakhand CM inaugurated the reconstruction of a 20-km road in Udham Singh Nagar, costing ₹55 crore, including widening and strengthening of Manunagar–Gadarpur–Dineshpur–Matkota–Haldwmotor route to ease traffic and enhance industrial development.
- The improved road will benefit around two lakh locals and farmers by reducing travel time and transport costs, while other projects include Industrial Smart City in Khurpia, Rudrapur medical college, and a future International Airport at Pantnagar.
- CM addressed the UKSSSC exam paper leak, announcing a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the issue, warning strict action against cheating mafias involved in disrupting recruitment and punishing those responsible for unrest.

992. Indian Railways sanctions ₹443 crore Rajpura–Mohali rail line to boost connectivity in Punjab
- On 23 september, 2025 Railways Minister and MoS Ravneet Singh Bittu approved an 18-km, ₹443 crore rail line linking Rajpura to Mohali, reducing travel by 66 km and easing congestion on the Rajpura–Ambala route.
- The new line will strengthen industries, lower transport costs, and enhance access to sites like Gurudwara Fatehgarh Sahib, while a new Vande Bharat Express will connect Firozpur, Bathinda, Patiala, and Delhi in under seven hours.
- Railway investment in Punjab rose 24-fold to ₹5,421 crore in 2025–26; projects include 714 km of new tracks, 88 flyovers, and border connectivity lines, while Indian Railways will run 12,000 special trains for festivals with >90% punctuality.
993. Tripura Govt Invests ₹303 Cr on Agri Markets in Last 7 Years, Says Minister Ratan Lal Nath
- On 24 september 2025, State Agriculture Minister inaugurated the new Barpathari Agri Produce Market, reaffirming state and central governments’ commitment to improving farmers’ welfare under Prime Minister Modi’s vision.
- Minister emphasized farmers’ dignity, noting ₹303 crore spent in seven years to establish 144 markets compared to ₹20.26 crore earlier; Tripura now has 554 agriculture markets, including 21 Agri Produce Markets.
- All 21 Agri Produce Markets will be integrated with the E-NAM platform for online trading; seven markets are already active, ensuring fair prices for farmers and boosting Tripura’s role in India’s agricultural growth.

994. India’s Solar Surge Raises Oversupply Concerns: Report
- On 25 September,2025 it was reported that, By FY28, India’s solar module capacity may reach 200 GWp and cell capacity 100 GWp, against domestic demand of only 50–60 GWp annually, risking oversupply and reliance on exports.
- Government measures 20% customs duty, ₹18,000 crore PLI scheme, ALMM-II mandate, and GST cut from 12% to 5% aim to boost domestic manufacturing, reduce imports, and lower project costs.
- US accounts for 95% of Indian solar exports, but duties up to 214% could threaten competitiveness; limited wafer capacity (2 GWp vs 30 GWp need) keeps India dependent on Chinese polysilicon imports.
995. Intermediate Range Agni-Prime Missile successfully tested from rail-based mobile launcher system
- On September 25, 2025 India successfully launched the Intermediate Range Agni-Prime Missile from a rail-based mobile launcher, capable of striking up to 2,000 km with advanced features, marking a first-of-its-kind launch system.
- Defence Minister stated that the test places India among select nations with canisterised rail-based launch capability, providing cross-country mobility, quick reaction time, and reduced visibility advantages.
- Minister, with Moroccan counterpart Abdelatif Loudyi, inaugurated Tata Advanced Systems’ 20,000 sq.m. facility in Berrechid, Morocco, to produce DRDO-developed WhAP 8x8, reflecting Atmanirbhar Bharat’s goal of global defence technology leadership.
996. Singapore, Indian shipyards sign MoU to strengthen offshore cooperation
- On 25 September, 2025 It was reported that, Singapore’s Seatrium Offshore Technology and India’s Cochin Shipyard Limited signed a virtual MoU to cooperate in offshore engineering, focusing on Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) projects across Asia.
- Winston Cheng of SOT emphasized expanding Seatrium’s Asian footprint by combining CSL’s local infrastructure with Seatrium’s engineering expertise, while CSL’s Sivakumar A highlighted delivering cost-effective, high-quality offshore solutions jointly.
- The MoU builds on their 2024 collaboration on jack-up rigs and sets a framework for joint marketing, project execution, and technology development, aligning with India’s offshore energy expansion to meet rising oil demand projected at 6.6 mb/d by 2030.
997. सावरकर, नेहरू समेत लंदन के वो घर, जिसमें रहते थे भारतीय नेता..
- भारतीय स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के महानायक और दार्शनिक वीर विनायक दामोदर सावरकर को सम्मानित करने के लिए लंदन के हाईगेट स्थित 65 क्रॉमवेल एवेन्यू पर एक स्मारक नीली पट्टिका स्थापित की गई है।
- यह वही भवन है जिसका उद्घाटन 1 जुलाई 1905 को समाजवादी नेता हेनरी मेयर्स हिंडमैन के भाषण से हुआ था, और जहाँ सावरकर ने जून 1906 से जुलाई 1909 तक निवास किया था। उस समय यह भवन इंडिया हाउस के नाम से प्रसिद्ध था।
- ऐतिहासिक भवन पर Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission for England द्वारा स्थापित नीली पट्टिका पर अंकित है, "विनायक दामोदर सावरकर (1883–1966), भारतीय देशभक्त और दार्शनिक, यहाँ रहते थे।"
998. इंदिरा गांधी ने वीर सावरकर के नाम जारी किया था डाक टिकट, कांग्रेस को फिर क्यों है इतनी तकलीफें?
- इंदिरा गांधी ने साल 1970 में महान स्वतंत्रता सेनानी वीर सावरकर के योगदान को पहचाना और वीर सावरकर के सम्मान में एक डाक टिकट जारी किया और कहा की सावरकर द्वारा ब्रिटिश सरकार की आज्ञा का उल्लंघन करने की हिम्मत करना हमारी आजादी की लड़ाई में अपना अलग ही स्थान रखता है।
- इसके साथ पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री इंदिरा गांधी ने सावरकर ट्रस्ट में अपने निजी खाते से 11,000 रुपए दान किए थे। इतना ही नहीं इंदिरा गांधी ने साल 1983 में फिल्म डिवीजन को आदेश दिया था कि वह ‘महान क्रांतिकारी’ के जीवन पर एक डॉक्यूमेंट्री फिल्म बनाएं।
- तकरीबन दो साल पहले साल 2018 के अक्टूबर माह की बात है कि जब पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री मनमोहन सिंह और भाजपा आईटी सेल के मुखिया अमित मालवीय वीर सावरकर और पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री इंदिरा गांधी से जुड़े एक मसले पर एकराय थी। अमित मालवीय ने एक ट्वीट किया था, जिसमें एक इमेज पोस्ट की गई थी। जिसमें इंदिरा गांधी और वीर सावरकर की तस्वीरें दिखाई दे रही हैं।
- इस इमेज में इंदिरा गांधी के वीर सावरकर के बारे में दिया गया बयान दिखाई दे रहा है। जिसमें इंदिरा गांधी ने कहा था कि सावरकर द्वारा ब्रिटिश सरकार की आज्ञा का उल्लंघन करने की हिम्मत करना हमारी आजादी की लड़ाई में अपना अलग ही स्थान रखता है।
999. Cadell Road: Named after revolutionary, known by colonial name
- Running along the western flank of central Mumbai, the Swatantrya Veer Savarkar Marg is dotted with major Mumbai landmarks, from Mahim Dargah to Shivaji Park to Siddivinayak Temple and the former Mayoral bungalow that will soon be converted into a memorial to the late Bal Thackeray.
- Named after revolutionary freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, the road was renamed decades ago but continues to be known best by its colonial name — Cadell Road, after PR Cadell, former municipal commissioner of the erstwhile Bombay.
- Savarkar, who espoused complete Indian independence by revolutionary means, is also credited with coining the term ‘Hindutva’. Unknown to many, he lived just off Cadell Road in the 1940s, in what was previously a bungalow named Savarkar Sadan.
1000. Veer Savarkar finds place in JNU; Campus roads now named after national figures
- In a historic development, a road in JNU leading to IIMC campus has been named after Veer Savarkar. The road named as ‘VD Savarkar Marg’ was one of the recommendations of the JNU Campus Development Committee made in July 2019.
- In July 2019, the JNU Campus Development Committee had recommended names of several freedom fighters for various roads to the Executive Council (EC). They were: Guru Ravidas Marg, V. D. Savarkar Marg, Rani Abbakka Marg, Abdul Hamid Marg, Maharishi Valmiki Marg, Gargi Vachaknavi Marg, Rani Jhansi Marg and Maharishi Dayananda Saraswati Marg.
- The recommendations of the Committee were placed before the 283rd Executive Council meeting held on 13 November 2019 for consideration and approval. The same was approved by the EC.
- It is an ideological victory of the student council in JNU. It is also expected that JNU will soon have a Savarkar Chair and statue dedicated to Savarkar.
