- उत्तर प्रदेश के कानपुर शहर में गंगा नदी के तट पर संचालित किया जाने वाला ‘घाट वाला स्कूल’ आज लोगों का ध्यान अपनी ओर खींच रहा है। अपने शुरुआती दिनों में संघर्ष से भरी जिंदगी गुजारने वाले नितिन आज सैकड़ों की संख्या में जरूरतमंद बच्चों को मुफ्त में शिक्षा उपलब्ध करा रहे हैं।
- नितिन आज करीब 200 से अधिक बच्चों को शिक्षा के उजाले से जोड़ने का काम कर रहे हैं।
- जरूरतमंद बच्चों को मुफ्त में बेहतर शिक्षा व अन्य सुविधाएं हासिल हो सकें इसके लिए नितिन कुमार ने साल 2015 में ‘एक नई राह फाउंडेशन’ नाम से एक एनजीओ शुरू किया

- Food scientist-turned-farmer, Chandrasekhar Bhadsavle, fondly addressed by farmers as ‘Dada’, introduced the Saguna Rice Technique (SRT) among a handful of farmers in Neral (Karjat) in 2013.
- As there is no puddling, transplanting and hand-hoeing in SRT, it save 50 per cent water, 40 per cent cost of production, and as we do not require transplanting we save 50 per cent on labour cost.
- 4,000 plus farmers are practising SRT. Of them several have their personal ‘record harvest’ stories to share, like former journalist Srinivas Pande of Ramtek (Nagpur) who harvested a yield of 18 quintals of fine rice from the earlier 12 quintals per acre, has trained over 50 farmers from Vidarbha

- 2003 में डोलराज गैरे ने अपने शौक और अपनी कमाई को बढ़ाने के लिए भोपाल में साइकिल पर सूप, सैंडविच और बिरयानी बनाकर बेचना शुरू किया था। आज वह शहर के सबसे मशहूर फ़ास्ट फ़ूड कार्नर ‘सागर गैरे’ के मालिक हैं, जिसके शहर में 17 आउटलेट्स मौजूद हैं। कहते हैं न कि इंसान अगर अपने हुनर की पहचान कर ले और सच्चे मन से मेहनत करे, तो उसे कामयाब होने से कोई नहीं रोक सकता। ऐसा ही कुछ हुआ डोलराज गैरे के साथ भी।
- मूल रूप से नेपाल के रहने वाले डोलराज, वैसे तो किसान के बेटे हैं। उनके कई रिश्तेदार भारत में भी रहते थे, 1980 में वह घूमने और कुछ काम की तलाश में भारत में आए थे। आठवीं तक पढ़े डोलराज ने शुरुआत में दिल्ली में काम किया। डोलराज बताते हैं, “हम हर एक डिश में अपना खुद का मसाला ही इस्तेमाल करते हैं। फिर चाहे वह सैंडविच के लिए मायोनीज़ हो या छोले का मसाला। यही कारण है कि लोगों को हमारे यहां मिलने वाला स्वाद और कहीं नहीं मिलता।”
- डोलराज गैरे की मेहनत और उनका खुद के ऊपर विश्वास ही सही मायने में उनकी सफलता का कारण है। हालांकि उन्होंने कभी सोचा भी नहीं था कि एक दिन उनके स्वाद की तारीफ शहरभर में होगी

- बचपन से ही विज्ञान में रूचि रखने वाले वड़ोदरा के 18 वर्षीय, बारहवीं के छात्र नील शाह ने एक सोलर साइकिल बनाई है।
- यह साइकिल सूरज की रोशनी और पैडल के जरिए चार्ज होती है। इसमें न पैसे खर्च होते हैं और न किसी तरह का कार्बन उत्सर्जन होता है
- नील के पिता ने मात्र 300 रुपये में कबाड़वाले से एक साइकिल खरीदी थी। नील ने इसे महज 12 हजार रुपये खर्च करके एक सोलर साइकिल में बदल डाला। इस सोलर साइकिल में 10 वॉट की सोलर प्लेट है, जिससे साइकिल 10 से 15 किमी का सफर आराम से तय कर सकती है।

- गुजरात के रजनीकांत कंसारा हमेशा से अपने घर पर एक बगीचा बनाना चाहते थे। उनके जाने के बाद उनके बेटे ने ‘रजनी उपवन’ बनाकर उनका सपना पूरा किया।
- उनके पिता रजनीकांत कंसारा, एक सरकारी अधिकारी थे और वह हमेशा से वहां एक सुन्दर बगीचा बनाना चाहते थे।
- आज रजनीकांत तो इस दुनिया में नहीं रहे, लेकिन उनके नाम से बना ‘रजनी उपवन’ जरूर है। लॉकडाउन के दौरान उनके बेटे ने यह सुन्दर गार्डन बनाना शुरू किया और आज यहां सैकड़ों पेड़-पौधे लगे हुए हैं। परिवारवालों के साथ कई पक्षी भी इस सुन्दर उपवन का आनंद उठा रहे हैं।

- ओडिशा में बारगढ़ के रहने वाले 77 वर्षीय राम चंद्र साहू रिटायर्ड शिक्षक हैं और पिछले लगभग 40 सालों से लगातार पौधरोपण कर रहे हैं। साल 1964 में बतौर सरकारी शिक्षक की नौकरी की शुरुआत करने वाले राम चंद्र साहू एक किसान परिवार से हैं।
- उन्होंने अपने ही गांव के स्कूल में लगभग 26 सालों तक पढ़ाया है। इसलिए गांव में सब उन्हें राम मास्टर के नाम से जानते हैं।
- उन्हें हमेशा से प्रकृति से लगाव रहा है और यही वजह है कि वह बचपन से लेकर आजतक केवल और केवल पेड़-पौधों की सेवा में लगे हैं।

- Cargo movement through National Waterways (NWs) and coastal waterways having linkage with NWs have registered a growth of more than 2.76 times during the past five years, said Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sabananda Sonowal here on Tuesday.
- the growth rate of IWT on National Waterways from 2009-10 to 2013-14 was at 1.5%, the growth rate increases to 13.5% in 2020-21 annually.
- The cost of water transport in India is roughly Rs 0.5 paise per kilometer as compared to Rs 1 by railways and Rs 1.5 per kilometer by road. India has a navigable length of 14,500 kilometers and moves about 44 million tonnes of cargo annually through these waterways using mechanized vessels and country boats in an organized manner in the waterways of Goa, West Bengal, Assam, and Kerala.

- Mumbai-based Kapil Bhatia has been in the textile sector for more than 20 years, still he hardly knew about ways to reduce carbon emissions by the clothing industry.
- To cater to the opportunity of recycled synthetic fabric, Bhatia launched his direct-to-consumer (D2C) recycled fabric brand UNIREC under the parent entity Cambridge Textiles India to manufacture blazers, trousers, sleeveless jackets, T-shirts from recycled PET bottles.
- The company focuses on stitching the apparel and have outsourced the recycling part. The recycled fabric is sourced from third-party manufacturers who procure yarn from yarn manufacturers who are further connected to multiple recyclers of plastic bottles into the recycled fibre.

- the Indian Railways plans to roll out double decker trains which can transport cargo and passengers as well. First two such trains with 20 coaches will be manufactured with nearly Rs 160 crore investments at a rail coach factory
- the middle and upper decks of the coaches in the trains will have the seating space to accommodate a maximum of 72 passengers, the lower deck can be used for transporting goods of upto 4-5 tonnes.
- It has set the target for the highest ever freight loading during 2022-23 at 1,475 million tonnes (MTs), an increase of 5% from the current fiscal year. This is estimated to generate around Rs 1.65 lakh crore, which is nearly 14% more than the earning from the freight segment in the current fiscal year ending March 2022.

- अजमेर के रहने वाले जयंत कंदोई को 6 बार कैंसर हुआ है और उन्होने कैंसर को हर बार हराया है। जयंत कैंसर सर्वाइवर होने के साथ ही एक लेखक और आंत्रप्रेन्योर भी हैं जयंत को बोन मैरो ट्रांसप्लांट से भी गुज़रना पड़ा क्योंकि कई बार ऐसा भी होता है कि इलाज के बाद भी कुछ कैंसर सेल मनुष्य के शरीर में रह जाती हैं।
- इस सब के बीच जयंत ने अपने दोस्तों के साथ मिलकर सिटी स्टार्स क्लब नाम की एक संस्था शुरू की।जो लोग कैंसर के साथ ही डिप्रेशन जैसी बीमारी से लड़ रहे हैं और उनके पास जानकारी का अभाव है, ऐसे लोगों की मदद के लिए ही उन्होने यह एनजीओ शुरू किया है।
- जयंत के अनुसार आज उनके एनजीओ के साथ करीब 700 से अधिक वॉलंटियर जुड़े हैं जो सक्रिय रूप से संस्था को डोनेशन भी देते हैं।
