- पिछले कई साल से बनारस के युवा अमन यादव निःस्वार्थ भाव से लोगों की मदद और सेवा कर रहे हैं। वह अब तक हज़ारों मरीजों का प्राथमिक उपचार कर अस्पताल पहुँचा चुके हैं। साथ ही वह गुमशुदा लोगों को उनके घर तक पहुँचाने का भी नेक काम करते हैं।
- अमन ने बताया, “एक बार मैं अपने किसी काम से सरकारी अस्पताल गया हुआ था, वहाँ की स्थिति देखकर मन दुखी हो गया। इंसान की स्थिति जानवरों से बदतर थी। कोई किसी को पूछने वाला नहीं था। अस्पताल के बाहर एक महिला बेहोश पड़ी हुई थी। कोई उनकी देखभाल करने वाला नहीं था। मुझे उनके बेटे का नंबर पता चला तो मैंने उनसे संपर्क किया लेकिन उनके 5 बेटों ने अपनी माँ को पहचानने से इंकार कर दिया। मैंने उन बूढ़ी माताजी के उपचार की ज़िम्मेदारी ली, लेकिन उन्हें बचा न सका। इसके बाद पोस्टमॉर्टेम के बाद उनके बेटे उनकी हाथ की अंगूठी और सोने की चेन लेने पहुँच गए। उस क्षण मैंने समाज का सबसे वीभत्स रूप देखा। मैं सोचने लगा कि क्या दुनिया इतनी स्वार्थी हो सकती है? उसी क्षण मैंने तय किया कि अब मैं हर असहाय, गरीब और जरूरतमंद की मदद करूँगा। जिनकी कोई मदद नहीं करेगा उसकी मदद करने का हर संभव प्रयास करूँगा।”
- अमन का कहना है कि हर किसी को जरूरतमंद लोगों की मदद करनी चाहिए। वह कहते हैं, “जरूरतमंद की सहायता के लिए किसी का इंतज़ार मत करिए, जितना संभव हो उतनी मदद करिए। इस दुनिया को बेहतर बनाना है तो सभी को मिलकर काम करना होगा।”

- The group, which operates mostly on WhatsApp and social media channels, has distributed over 17,000 water bowls across India so far Sunny Jain was strolling around his neighbourhood one day when he saw a dog drink water from a dirty puddle. Moved by what he saw, he placed a spare bowl outside his house and filled it with water. Over the next couple of days, the bowl had become a watering hole for not just dogs, but goats, cats, cows, and birds of various species
- Inspired by his actions, Sunny’s neighbours started putting bowls out too. That slowly sparked a trend in his locality in Tumkur – around 70 kilometres from Bengaluru – where everyone started placing bowls of water outside their homes to quench the thirst of birds and animals.
- The group, launched nearly five years ago, has so far distributed more than 17,000 bowls across the country. Resource distribution and logistics were some of the issues Sunny and his team had to grapple with in the initial days, but as more volunteers joined the cause, they were able to iron the kinks out.

- Gujarat-based entrepreneur Manish Kothari, the owner and managing director of Rhino Machines, a project consultancy firm, presents Rhino bricks, made from foundry dust and waste plastic!
- As opposed to clay brick, Rhino bricks are 2.5 times stronger and 25 per cent lighter. They are also reasonably priced at Rs 10 per piece, making them cost-effective.
- Launched in February 2020, they have already received orders of over 1,000 bricks and 650 paver blocks. They have also received inquiries from Chile, Colombia, and China.

- Maharashtra has issued a policy to replicate the tree plantation model that Popat Shinde from Raanmala village worked tirelessly for 25 years to success. If you walk into Raanmala village in Khed taluka near Pune, the large number of trees in the area will surely grab your attention. You may be even more surprised to see that every tree has a name on it, and is tagged with the memory associated with it.The credit goes to Popat Shinde, a retired Zilla Parishad (ZP) teacher who took up the cause of greening the village, which is about 50 km from Pune.
- People started putting boards signifying the occasion and the memory associated with it. Some people also started planting trees in memory of loved ones who passed away. One person even planted a tree in memory of his cow,” he said.
- Since 2004, the villagers have planted 1. 8 lakh trees in the village, outskirts, entrance and neighbouring three hills, the majority of which have grown into trees benefiting residents.

- शहर से लगभग 30 किमी दूर दिल्ली-गुरुग्राम बॉर्डर के पास स्थित रजोकरी, साल 2017 तक गंदे पानी का जलाशय था, जो सालों से विषाक्त हालत में पड़ा था। प्लास्टिक के कचरे और सड़ते पानी से जाम नालियों के कारण तालाब पूरी तरह प्रदूषित हो चुका था। डीजेबी के तकनीकी सलाहकार अंकित श्रीवास्तव और आर्किटेक्ट मृगांका सक्सेना की टीम ने देखा कि जलाशय में कूड़े कचरे और गंदगी का अंबार है। उनकी देखरेख में डीजेबी ने आईएफसीडी के साथ मिलकर दिल्ली के पहले डीसेंट्रलाइज्ड सीवर सिस्टम में रजोकरी तालाब के कायाकल्प की शुरुआत की।
- आईआईटी बॉम्बे से एनवॉयरमेंटल साइंस और इंजीनियरिंग में ग्रेजुएट अंकित कहते हैं, “दिल्ली में लगभग 600 जल निकाय हैं और इन सभी को पुनर्जीवित करना अंतिम लक्ष्य है। हालाँकि हमारे पास ऐसा कोई मॉडल नहीं था जिसके जरिए हम इन्हें पूरी तरह बदल सकते थे। इसलिए, हमने शहर की स्थिति के अनुसार अपने खुद के मॉडल को बेहतर बनाने के लिए एक इन-हाउस टीम बनाई, और 2017 में रजोकरी परियोजना, पायलट प्रोजेक्ट के रुप में शुरू की गई।” इस प्रोजेक्ट को दो भागों में बाँटा गया – प्यूरीफिकेशन सिस्टम का निर्माण और आसपास के क्षेत्रों में लैंडस्केप बनाना, जिससे न सिर्फ इसकी सुंदरता बढ़े बल्कि झील का लंबे समय तक उचित रखरखाव के साथ यह अधिक सस्टेनेबल हो सके।
- डीजेबी टीम ने जलाशय में एक अनोखे प्यूरिफिकेशन आइलैंड की भी शुरूआत की। इसमें मूल रूप से जियो-नेटिंग के साथ 2X2 मीटर के पीवीसी पाइप ढांचे से बने राफ्ट हैं जो कि कन्ना और साइप्रस जैसे हार्मोन ट्रीटेड पौधों से जुड़े रहते हैं। ये पौधे न केवल पोषक तत्वों और अन्य लाभकारी जलीय पौधों की वृद्धि करते हैं, बल्कि प्रदूषकों को भी अवशोषित करते हैं और यूट्रोफिकेशन (खनिजों और पोषक तत्वों के साथ जल के अत्यधिक संवर्धन और ऑक्सीजन की कमी को पूरा करने की अनुमति देता है) को रोककर संतुलन बनाते हैं। अंकित के अनुसार, इसका उद्देश्य मछलियों को इसमें छोड़ना और उनके नेचुरल इकोसिस्टम को बढ़ाने के लिए पानी को साफ और उपयुक्त बनाना है।इन सभी नवीन उपायों के कारण, रजोकरी सीवेज ट्रीटमेंट प्लांट अब 600 किलोलीटर (6 लाख लीटर) सीवेज को शुद्ध करने की सुविधा प्रदान करता है।
