23691. Bangladesh Supplied COVID-19 vaccines to nine countries, will gradually send to COVAX facility: India at UN
- Bangladesh India has informed the UN Security Council that it will gradually supply vaccines to the COVAX facility of the World Health Organisation and undertake contractual supplies to various countries in a phased manner, as more than six million doses have been airlifted to nine countries under New Delhi’s “vaccine diplomacy.”
- India has assisted more than 150 countries through urgent health and medical supplies. New Delhi has pledged $15 million for GAVI, the Vaccine Alliance, and operationalised the COVID-19 Emergency Fund for its neighbours with an initial contribution of $10 million.
- Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and the Maldives have received India’s COVID-19 vaccines under grant assistance in sync with its “Neighbourhood First” policy. India has begun commercial exports of COVID-19 vaccines and sent two million doses each to Brazil and Morocco.
23692. South Africa to get 1st batch of vaccine from India
- South Africa’s president Monday confirmed his country will soon receive its first consignment of COVID-19 vaccines from the Serum Institute in India, the world’s largest vaccine producer.

23695. Maldives Lauds PM Modi’s Gesture in Providing COVID Vaccine
- Honourable President of the Republic of Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, its Hon. Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid and Honorary Consul (Mumbai) of the Republic of Maldives Bobby Mohanty have expressed their sincere gratitude and appreciation and have praised the Hon. Prime Minister of India Sh. Narendra Modi for providing COVID-19 vaccine to their country.

- भारत ने बुधवार को ओडिशा के तट पर चांदीपुर के एकीकृत परीक्षण रेंज से सुपरसोनिक क्रूज मिसाइल ब्रह्मोस का आकाश से मार करने वाले संस्करण का सफलतापूर्वक परीक्षण किया।
- इस अभियान को ब्रह्मोस के विकास में ‘‘प्रमुख मील का पत्थर’’ बताते हुए सूत्रों ने कहा कि मिसाइल के आकाश से मार करने वाले संस्करण का सुबह साढ़े 10 बजे सुपरसोनिक लड़ाकू विमान सुखोई 30 एमके-आई से परीक्षण किया गया।
- इस सुपरसोनिक क्रूज मिसाइल के विकास, उत्पादन और विपणन के लिए ब्रह्मोस भारत (डीआरडीओ) और रूस (एनपीओएम) के बीच एक संयुक्त उपक्रम है। आक्रामक मिसाइल हथियार प्रणाली को सशस्त्र बलों में शामिल किया गया है।
23697. ताजीज और रिलायंस का 2 अरब डॉलर का रणनीतिक संयुक्त उद्यम
- अबू धाबी केमिकल्स डेरिवेटिव्स कंपनी आरएससी लिमिटेड (ताजीज) और रिलायंस इंडस्ट्रीज लिमिटेड ने दो अरब डॉलर के निवेश से विश्व स्तर पर रासायनिक उत्पादन साझेदारी 'ताजीज ईडीसी एंड पीवीसी ' लॉन्च करने के लिए समझौता किया है।
- नए संयुक्त उद्यम 2 अरब डॉलर से अधिक का निवेश किया जाएगा। संयुक्त अरब अमीरात में इन रसायनों का पहली बार उत्पादन किया जाएगा। यह परियोजना वैश्विक स्तर पर इन रसायनों की बढ़ती मांग को पूरा करने के साथ-साथ आयात को भी कम करेगी।
- यह परियोजना एडीएनओसी और रिलायंस की दीर्घकालिक रणनीतिक साझेदारी पर आधारित है। इस क्षेत्र में रिलायंस का यह पहला निवेश है।

- ICMR और NIV ने रैपिड कोविड टेस्ट की नई किट डेवलप की है। इसके इस्तेमाल से कोरोना टेस्ट की लागत 40% तक घट जाएगी।
- साथ ही 30 मिनट के भीतर जांच रिपोर्ट मिल जाएगी। 2 हफ्ते के भीतर एयरपोर्ट्स और दूसरी जगहों पर इसका इस्तेमाल शुरू हो जाएगा।
- ओमिक्रॉन के बढ़ते खतरों को देखते हुए इस किट का प्रोडक्शन बढ़ाने के लिए कहा गया है।
23699. India has supplied over 723 lakh doses of COVID-19 vaccine to 94 countries, two UN entities: Government
- India supplied COVID-19-related medical and other assistance to over 150 countries since the beginning of the pandemic, Minister of State for Health Bharati Pravin Pawar said in written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha.
- Since the start of Vaccine Maitri Programme in January, 2021, India has supplied 723.435 lakh doses of Covid vaccine to 94 countries and two UN entities in the form of grant, commercial export or through COVAX till November 29, 2021
- The Government of India has so far already supplied 222.56 lakh of COVID-19 vaccine doses to COVAX, she stated.

23700. India’s defence exports in past seven years have crossed ₹38,000 crore: Rajnath Singh
- India has exported defence items worth more than ₹38,000 crore in the past seven years and the country hopes to become an overall net exporter soon, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said on December 4.
- india have an estimated ₹85,000 crore industry of aerospace and defence. The contribution of the private sector in this has increased to ₹18,000 crore
- The government aims to achieve the export target of ₹35,000 crore by 2024-25. Presently, India is exporting defence equipment to around 70 countries.
