1421. Inox Green Signs O&M Deal For 182 MW Wind Projects In Western India
- On August 12, 2025, Inox Green Energy Services signed deal for full operations and maintenance for 182 MW of wind projects across Western India.
- The contract covers the entire remaining operational life of the projects includes upgrading 82 MW from limited services to full O&M and renewing another 100 MW ahead.

1423. CM transfers Rs1,247cr to social security beneficiaries in state
- On August 09, 2025, in Patna, Bihar CM released ₹1,247 crore to 1.12 crore beneficiaries of six pension schemes through DBT at the new ₹1,100/month rate.
- The increase from ₹400 to ₹1,100 aims to improve welfare support; payments are made via DBT to ensure transparency and timely disbursement on the 10th of every month.
- Centrally funded schemes cover 43.07 lakh people (₹473 crore) and state-funded schemes cover 69.11 lakh people (₹774 crore); top beneficiaries include old-age, widow, and disability pension recipients.

- On 11 August 2025, It was reported that, In FY 2024–25, Madhya Pradesh achieved record exports worth ₹66,218 crore, improving its national ranking to 11th, with major markets including the US, Bangladesh, France, UAE, and the Netherlands.

1426. ISRO Announces Successful Static Test Of Skyroot's KALAM 1200 Rocket Motor
- On August 8, 2025, at Skyroot Aerospace successfully conducted the first static test of the KALAM 1200 solid rocket motor, the first stage of Vikram-1 launch vehicle, at the Static Test Complex, Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota, marking a crucial development milestone.
- The test marks a major milestone in Vikram-1’s development, supporting India’s Space Policy 2023, which promotes private sector use of ISRO’s infrastructure to boost the space economy. It was executed by Skyroot Aerospace using a special ISRO-designed test stand at SDSC’s Static Test Complex.
- The KALAM 1200 is an 11-metre-long, 1.7-metre-diameter monolithic composite motor carrying 30 tonnes of solid propellant, the longest of its kind built at SDSC’s Solid Propellant Plant. Earlier this week, ISRO also celebrated the successful launch of the NASA-ISRO NISAR satellite on an indigenously developed GSLV rocket.

1427. PM Modi flags off Namma Metro Yellow line from Bengaluru's Ragigudda, takes first ride to Electronic City
- On August 10, 2025, Prime Minister inaugurated the Namma Metro Yellow Line from Bengaluru’s Ragigudda, spanning over 19 km with 16 stations, at a project cost of ₹7,160 crore.
- After the inauguration, PM took the first metro ride from RV Road to Electronic City. The project was executed by Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) to improve mass transit in the city. The line’s opening expands Bengaluru’s operational metro network to over 96 km.
- The Yellow Line enhances connectivity between key residential, commercial, and IT hubs in Bengaluru, expected to reduce travel time, ease congestion, and support sustainable urban mobility.
1428. PM Modi flags off three new Vande Bharat Express trains from Bengaluru
- On August 10, 2025, Prime Minister flagged off three new Vande Bharat Express trains from KSR Bengaluru railway station Ajni (Nagpur)-Pune, KSR Bengaluru-Belgavi, and Shree Mata Vaishnodevi Katra-Amritsar.
- The Bengaluru–Belagavi service 611 km in 8 hours 20 minutes, fastest on this route, runs six days a week except Wednesday, the Ajni–Pune service India’s longest at 881 km, fastest between Nagpur and Pune with 10 stops.
- The Katra–Amritsar service will benefit businessmen, students and employ and will boost tourism and opening up new avenues for trade and commerce.
1429. Cabinet OKs Continuation of Targeted Subsidy for PMUY Consumers at Rs 12,000 Crore Expenditure
- The Union Cabinet On 8 august, 2025, approved the continuation of a targeted subsidy for Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana consumers for the financial year 2025-26, Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting said.
- The subsidy amounts to Rs 300 per 14.2 kg cylinder for up to 9 refills per year, with a proportionate rate for 5 kg cylinders, at an expenditure of Rs 12,000 crore.
- PMUY beneficiaries receive a deposit-free LPG connection, including a security deposit, pressure regulator, safety hose, and installation charges. The first refill and stove are also provided free of cost. The minister said that the government’s objective is to make LPG more affordable for PMUY consumers, who are vulnerable to price fluctuations.
1430. Indian Railways Achieves New Milestone With 4.5 Km Long 'Rudrastra' Freight Train
- On August 8, 2025, Indian Railways successfully ran its longest ever freight train named “Rudrastra.” The train covered a distance of 200 km between Ganjkhwaja station and Garhwa Road station in the East Central Railway zone.
- The “Rudrastra” train is 4.5 km long and had 354 wagons, arranged in 6 rakes and pulled by 7 engines completed an experimental run from Ganjkhwaja to Dhanbad. Union Railway Minister shared the achievement on social media (formerly Twitter), calling it a proud moment for Indian Railways.
- Running such a long freight train helps Indian Railways move large amounts of goods more efficiently. It means fewer trips, lower costs, and better use of tracks and engines. The development is part of India’s efforts to improve its railway network and support the country’s growing economy by making goods transport faster and more reliable.
