- Anshul Shrivastava started AxleWeb Technologies, a web development company, from Rewa in Madhya Pradesh. The company has been recognised by the government’s Startup India initiative.
- Thirty-three year old Anshul Shrivastava launched the startup in June 2019 from his native town Rewa. Besides chatbots, AxleWeb is also dedicated to developing related products like Alexa Skills, Google Home Actions, and other voice platforms.
- Chatbots and AI-enabled assistants have taken over brand-consumer interaction in a big way. With increasing number of smartphones, a large section of the online population has access to messaging apps on their phones, and thus prefer to use chatbots to interact with brands at their own convenience rather than get on a call.

- ZinGel batteries made by the startup Offgrid Energy Labs dispenses with costly, imported Li-ion cells and largely inefficient lead acid for use in electric mobility.
- Lead acid, most commonly used in batteries, is cheap but low on efficiency. They were used in EVs till 2015, but from 2016 onwards India began transitioning to lithium-ion batteries. However, lithium-ion cells require costly rare elements such as lithium and cobalt to be imported from countries including China.
- This is where ZincGel, a battery chemistry invented by IIT Kanpur-incubated startup Offgrid Energy Labs, aims to make a difference. The startup was founded by Tejas Kusurkar, Brindan Tulachan, Rishi Srivastava and Ankur Agarwal in early 2018.

- In a bid to do away with single-use plastics and promote plastic alternatives in items for everyday use, Paivi sells a range of recyclable and biodegradable products such as edible straws, bamboo toothbrushes, razors, tongue cleaners, stationery items, and more.
- Ruchi Jain had few entrepreneurial role models around her growing up. But she knew getting into business for herself was something she definitely wanted to do.
- She decided to make plastic-free, biodegradable versions of everyday products, and launched her startup, Paivi, in 2019. The company makes environmentally-friendly, biodegradable and plastic-free everyday-use products such as bamboo toothbrushes, edible rice and wheat drinking straws, wooden combs, biodegradable pens and pencils, natural dishwashing loofahs, and husk razors, among several others.

- In 2019, Paytm Mall’s former COO Amit Sinha founded Unnati, a fintech-powered agritech startup. It is backed by NABARD’s venture capital arm, Vijay Shekhar Sharma, and other members of the ‘Paytm mafia’.
- Over two stints across 12 years at the fintech decacorn, Amit served as its CFO, Head of HR, COO of Paytm Mall, and Business Head for Paytm Insurance. Then, in 2019, he launched his own agritech startup Unnati. Joining him as the co-founder was Ashok Prasad (friend and former colleague from Paytm).
- Essentially, Unnati makes technological interventions to ‘improve’ every stage of a farmer’s crop cycle — from seed buying and crop guidance, to supply of inputs (pesticides, fertilisers, etc.), market linkages for the sale of produce to the fulfilment of his working capital needs, and more.

- LogicLadder, a company founded by Mayank Chauhan and Atindra Chandel in 2011, helps companies to have a data-led approach to going green. The Gurugram-based startup creates software that makes energy and environment data simple to understand and act upon.
- Mayank says, “We thought we should do something about it and we started analysing it deeper. We concluded that enterprises were one of the largest causes for environmental issues, and it was easier to solve the problem at their level than at an individual level.
- We met sustainability heads of several enterprises, and one of them told me that there was no good software to manage sustainability goals and compliance.” This gave birth to Logic Ladder, adds Mayank.

- "We initially tried offline scooter rentals in the city with five electric scooters and received a lot of positive feedback. - Bengaluru-based edtech startup StayQrious on Tuesday announced that it has raised $2 million in seed funding round led by some of the leading early-stage investors. These includes Learnstart, the dedicated seed fund of Learn Capital and other global investors such as Draper Associates, Y Combinator, Nitin Sharma (First Principles VC), Lavni Ventures, and Dream Incubator (Japan).
- According to the company statement, the startup will primarily use the fresh funds to build the product, coach tools, and instructional content that will enable its 'classroom of the future'.
- Established in 2020 by Aanand Srinivas, StayQrious is India’s newest learning platform for students, with a focus on STEM foundations, starting with coding literacy. With a unique teaching and learning approach – ‘Learn to code and then code to learn’, StayQrious focuses on coding fundamentals for students in the age group 8-14, with an initial focus on metropolitan cities, Tier-I and select Tier-II cities.
