22021. Restaurant on Wheels: Experience rail-themed dining! Indian Railways opens coach restaurant at Nagpur station
- indian Railways ‘Restaurant on Wheels’: Now passengers travelling to and from Nagpur railway station and locals can enjoy their meals at a train-themed restaurant.
- The Nagpur Division of the Central Railway zone has recently set up ‘Restaurant on Wheels’ at Nagpur railway station in Maharashtra under Innovative Ideas of catering policy. The first ‘Restaurant on Wheels’ of Central Railways has been set up recently at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai (CSMT) railway station in the month of October 2021.
- The restaurant can accommodate as many as 40 patrons inside the coach. The restaurant’s interior has been decorated in such a way that passengers and the public can experience dining in a rail-themed setting.

22025. Philips to invest Rs 300 crore in India manufacturing, R&D
- Dutch healthtech and consumer electronics company Philips said it will invest Rs 250-300 crore to boost its manufacturing and R&D facilities in India. The company also intends to hire 1,000 people over the next two to three years. He said the company will expand its factory near by 7,200 sq ft to start manufacturing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and x-ray equipment.
- Philips is also building a new 650,000 sq ft campus in Bengaluru that can house over 5,000 people. t will be ready by 2023.
- The company also sees demand increasing for its connected care solutions amid the Covid-19 pandemic and will work towards more public-private-partnerships (PPP) in this space. This also ties in with the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
22026. Jio Platforms to raise Rs 11,367 crore by selling another 2.32% to Saudi Arabia's PIF
- Jio Platforms is set to raise Rs 11,367 crore by selling another 2.32% to Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund Public Investment Fund (PIF). This will be the tenth investor picking up a stake in the Reliance Industries’ (RIL) telecom and digital business in eight weeks.
- The investments peg Jio Platforms’ equity value at Rs 4.91 lakh crore and enterprise value at Rs 5.16 lakh crore. Jio Platforms said it will raise another Rs6441.3 crore by selling a combined 1.32% to US private equity firms TPG and L Catterton.
- Other investors so far besides TPG and L Catterton, have been Abu Dhabi’s two largest sovereign investment arms Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and Mubadala, private equity firms Silver Lake, Vista Equity Partners, General Atlantic and KKR, and social media major Facebook, which has picked up the largest chunk of 9.99% for nearly Rs44,000 crore.

- MRPL is currently constructing a facility at Bhilwara in Rajasthan that will manufacture products like rock bolts, resin capsules, injection chemicals, wire mesh and high-quality ventilation systems, the statement added.
- Production is slated to commence in January 2021, with the facility catering to both Indian and global markets, it added. The plant will have the capacity to generate over Rs 450 crore of revenue and will provide direct and indirect employment for more than 2,000 people, it said. The facility in Bhilwara, concurrent with the government's vision of 'Make in India' and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat', will provide products and services which were thus far unavailable in the country and had to be imported, he added.
