- ZebPay claims that two-thirds of crypto owners in India bought their first Bitcoin on its platform. We couldn’t independently verify the claim, but there’s no denying that ZebPay is among India’s oldest crypto trading platforms and a popular name in the world of digital currencies.
- “Bitcoin was born during the 2008 economic crisis so people could store wealth in a decentralised manner. Similarly, investors today want to keep their money safe from inflation, and make it easily accessible. All these factors have led to the boom in crypto trading post COVID-19.”
- Rahul says, “ZebPay has been fully compliant on KYC and other laws. We are as legitimate as any other financial service provider. We didn’t want to fight unfriendly regulators. So, we were the first crypto exchange to shut down operations [in 2018, after the RBI ban]. Early in 2020, we decided to restart because we believe in India, and believe in Bitcoin.”

- It is estimated that office productivity loss due to employee time spent on administrative tasks (that can be easily automated) costs nearly $5 trillion annually, and roughly 69 workdays are spent doing such tasks. For gig economy workers and independent professionals who earn money based on the time they spend producing results-oriented work, this loss in productivity translates directly into decreased incomes.
- “We combine nearly eight to nine tools that professionals would have required to offer their services, into one, and save them a lot of precious time which they can spend on billable tasks,” says Gaurav, in an interview with YourStory.
- The platform, in addition to backend automation and analytics, allows professionals to create their own professional page that highlights their expertise and services - starting with a video message that it asks its users to shoot and upload. It gives businesses wanting to get in touch with professionals listed on Superpro several contact points within the platform, without ever revealing their personal information such as emails or phone numbers.

- One of Saurabh Jaitly’s friend — a platinum seller on Amazon India — confided in him the challenges he had to encounter while shipping his products. While the local logistic companies helped ship the orders, with no simple tracking mechanism, Saurabh’s friend had to process every order manually. In fact, he had to do the same for the orders he received on Shopify.
- “At a click, orders can be synced and processed with a carrier of their choice. We offer a host of delivery monitoring and customer engagement tools, which enables a two-way interaction between the shipper and the customer,” Nitish says.
- “Customers can reschedule deliveries, cancel shipments, rate delivery experience, and product satisfaction level, etc. Companies can also send their inventory to the fulfilment centre, and we keep it safe for them. Once an order is received, we pack it, process it, and dispatch it. Users can book inbound and outbound requests, and also keep track on their inventory levels at all points via the Shippigo dashboard,” says Nitish.

- India is a country with a population of over 1.3 billion, 90 percent of whom do not speak in English. Not surprisingly, there are 22 major languages spoken in India, and nine out of 10 people joining the internet are local language speakers. However, the educational content available on the internet that can be consumed by the masses of India (ie, local language videos) is very low.
- With a combination of tech and business skills, Pratik and Hassan started working on VideoWiki in January 2018 to develop a tool that would help Wikipedia to add videos to their article.
- Pratik tells YourStory, “We both wanted to use our skills to help the society rather than focus on making money. While I had the insight into multilingual videos, Hassan had the technical skills to pull it off. So we got together in building VideoWiki. However, from day one, we knew that we wanted to structure our organisation as a tech non-profit rather than build just another startup.”
