741. Centre approves 1,000 e-buses for Pune under PM E-DRIVE scheme to boost green public transport
- On November 11, 2025, the Centre approved purchasing 1,000 electric buses for Pune under the PM E-DRIVE scheme to expand and modernize the city’s public transport network.
- Union Minister announced the approval after pursuing it with Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Union Minister , who expedited clearance following meetings in New Delhi.
- The PMPML, which operates 2,000 buses across Pune and nearby areas, needs 3,000 to meet demand. The decision complements Pune Metro’s 32 km network and ongoing expansion projects.
742. Atmanirbhar Navy in the Making: Hyundai and Cochin Shipyard Signs MoU for the 1470 Dollar Landing Platform Dock Project
- On November 11, 2025, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) and South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) to jointly participate in India’s ₹1.3 lakh crore Landing Platform Dock (LPD) naval programme.
- The CSL–HHI partnership combines HHI’s advanced naval design expertise with CSL’s domestic infrastructure under India’s “Make in India” drive, aiming to build large amphibious warships for the Indian Navy.
- The LPDs, each around 29,000 tonnes, will enhance India’s amphibious and disaster-relief operations, strengthen indigenous shipbuilding, and mark a major step in India’s naval modernisation and Indo-Pacific maritime strategy.
743. Secretary, MeitY Inaugurates Start-up & Innovation Centre at NIELIT Agartala
- On November 11, 2025, S. Krishnan, IAS, Secretary, MeitY, inaugurated the Start-up and Innovation Centre at NIELIT Agartala under the Next Generation Incubation Network (NGIN) scheme of Tripura’s IT Directorate.
- Accompanied by senior officials, including Dr. Sanjay Bahl and Kiran Gitte, Krishnan reviewed NIELIT’s projects, interacted with students, and assessed the institute’s training infrastructure and innovation initiatives.
- NIELIT Agartala plans to expand training to Unakoti and Khowai districts, enhancing skill development and entrepreneurship across Tripura, in alignment with MeitY’s national digital growth vision.

744. Mizoram CM Lalduhoma Inaugurates Pesticide Residue Lab At Selesih Veterinary College
- On November 11, 2025, Mizoram Chief Minister inaugurated the Pesticide Residue Analysis Laboratory at the College of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, Selesih, during its 27th Foundation Day celebration.
- Joined by Ministers and PC Vanlalruata, Lalduhoma emphasized the college’s regional importance and said the new lab will aid research under the All India Network Project on Pesticide Residues to ensure food safety.
- Established in 1997, the college has 440 students and over 1,200 graduates. The new facility, funded with ₹11.80 crore under the RKVY scheme, will enhance sustainable agriculture and benefit farmers and researchers in Mizoram.

745. Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma Inaugurates Block Integrated Development Complex In Amlarem

746. Assam Government Launches Subsidised Food Scheme Under NFSA
- On November 10, 2025, the Assam government launched a new NFSA-linked scheme in Guwahati to supply essential food items-lentils, sugar, and salt—at subsidised prices across the state.
- Chief Minister inaugurated the initiative, announcing prices of ₹69/kg for dal, ₹38/kg for sugar, and ₹10/kg for salt, with further reductions planned from January 2026.
- The scheme was launched simultaneously at 33,000 fair price shops statewide, ensuring affordable nutrition for ration card holders and setting a new benchmark in food and nutritional security.

747. NTPC Green begins land work for 25 GW solar parks in Rajasthan
- On November 11, 2025, It was reported that, NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) began land development across 50,000 hectares in Rajasthan’s Bikaner and Jaisalmer districts to build a 25 GW solar park cluster under India’s renewable energy roadmap.
- The project, backed by an MoU between NGEL and the Rajasthan government, is part of NTPC’s goal to achieve 60 GW renewable capacity by 2032, with phased execution and support from state authorities.
- A joint venture, NTPC Rajasthan Green Energy Limited (NRGEL), is also developing a 1,500 MW solar project on 6,400 acres in Bikaner’s Pugal Solar Park, strengthening Rajasthan’s role as India’s solar energy hub.
748. Centre earmarks ₹100 crore for biomass-to-hydrogen pilots to cut fossil fuel imports
- On November 11, 2025, at the 3rd International Conference on Green Hydrogen in New Delhi, Union minister for New and Renewable Energy announced ₹100 crore pilot projects using biomass to produce green hydrogen under the National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM).
- Union Minister said BIRAC will invite proposals for biomass-based hydrogen technologies, aiming to cut ₹1 lakh crore fossil fuel imports and create 6 lakh green jobs through ₹8 lakh crore investments.
- India targets 5 MMT annual green hydrogen output by 2030 with ₹19,744 crore outlay, incentives for 3,000 MW electrolyser capacity, 8.62 lakh MTPA production, and major projects including ₹208 crore for hydrogen vehicles and stations.
749. India crosses 5 lakh 5G towers despite slower growth
- On 10 November, 2025 it was reported that, In October 2025, India added 4,144 new 5G base transceiver stations (BTS), bringing the total to 508,732 nationwide.
- According to the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), the gradual rollout reflects a temporary moderation, while BSNL continues expanding rural connectivity using its indigenously developed 4G technology.
- The DoT emphasized that BSNL’s 4G network is supporting rural development in farming, education, healthcare, and employment, aligning with the government’s focus on affordable and inclusive digital infrastructure across India.
750. AP Cabinet clears Rs 1 lakh crore investments
- On November 11, 2025 in Vijayawada, the Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister approved investment proposals worth nearly ₹1 lakh crore across quantum computing, clean energy, infrastructure, agriculture, and industry sectors.
- Information Minister announced that the Cabinet’s Quantum Computing Policy (2025–30) aims to attract $1 billion investments, create 5,000 jobs, and establish the Amaravati Quantum Computing Centre with IBM and TCS collaboration.
- Major approvals include ₹595 crore for flood infrastructure, ₹1,863 crore for trunk roads, ₹7,500 crore urban loans, a 1,000-acre Renewable Zone in Bapatla, and multiple new industries in Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, Orvakal, Nellore, and Anantapur districts.
