23551. India donates first 500,000 doses of vaccine to Sri Lanka
- Sri Lanka’s president has welcomed the first 500,000 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine from India, which has donated the shots to eight countries in the region
- Sri Lanka said 150,000 health workers and 115,000 selected military and police troops will be the first to be inoculated at six hospitals in Colombo and its suburbs.
- India's rival China announced it would provide 300,000 shots of its own vaccine Sinopharm next month after procedures are completed on both sides

- Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address to the World Economic Forum’s Davos Summit said the world would receive more vaccines from India. The nation started its mega inoculation drive about a week back with Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin and the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine produced by the Serum Institute of India.
- Since then, many other nations have also received the jabs from India as part the government’s ‘Vaccine Maitri’ plan.

23553. India to supply 10 mn Covid vaccine doses to Africa, 1 mn to UN nations: MEA
- India has so far gifted 5.5 million doses to its immediate neighbours
- Besides gifts to neighbouring countries, some amounts of commercial exports have taken place to Brazil, Morocco and Bangladesh, says MEA
- India will supply 10 million doses of vaccines to fight the covid-19 pandemic to Africa and another one million shots to the United Nations for its health workers under a global health partnership arrangement known as GAVI

23554. After Sri Lanka, Africa secures 400 million doses of Indian shots
- The Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says another 400 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been secured for the continent through the Serum Institute of India.
- Africa CDC director John Nkengasong told reporters that with the new doses, on top of the 270 million doses announced earlier, “I think we’re beginning to make very good progress.”
- India As with many vaccine deals, there are no immediate details on cost or how much people might pay per dose.
23555. पीपीपी मॉडल के तहत यूपी में खुलेंगे मेडिकल कॉलेज
- चिकित्सा शिक्षा विभाग को बागपत, हाथरस, रामपुर, संभल, शामली, महाराजगंज, कासगंज, मऊ, श्रावस्ती जिलों में मेडिकल कॉलेज के लिए निजी क्षेत्र से कुल 17 प्रस्ताव मिले हैं। इसमें तीनों श्रेणियों में आवेदन किए गए हैं।
- उत्तर प्रदेश में पीपीपी मॉडल पर मेडिकल कॉलेज खोलने और उसके संचालन में व्यावसायिक समूहों ने पहल की है। यह सभी मेडिकल कॉलेज केंद्र सरकार की मदद से खोले जाने हैं। नौ मेडिकल कॉलेजों का लोकार्पण प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी द्वारा किया जा चुका है, जबकि 14 अन्य मेडिकल कॉलेजों को मंजूरी मिल चुकी है, जिनमें कई का शिलान्यास भी हो चुका है। राज्य के 16 जिले ऐसे हैं, जहां पीपीपी मोड में मेडिकल कॉलेज खोले जाने हैं। इनमें बागपत, हाथरस, रामपुर, संभल, शामली, महाराजगंज, कासगंज, मऊ, श्रावस्ती, चित्रकूट, बलिया, भदोही, हमीरपुर, महोबा, मैनपुरी, संत कबीर नगर जिले शामिल हैं।
- पहली श्रेणी में जमीन और पूरा निवेश निजी क्षेत्र का होगा। दूसरी श्रेणी में मेडिकल कॉलेज की जमीन और बिल्डिंग निवेशक की होगी जबकि अस्पताल सरकारी होगा। तीसरी श्रेणी में मेडिकल कॉलेज भवन और अस्पताल दोनों ही सरकारी होंगे, लेकिन संचालन निजी क्षेत्र द्वारा किया जाएगा। राज्य सरकार वित्तीय व गैर वित्तीय सहायता देगी। पांच वर्ष के लिए लागत पर पांच प्रतिशत की ब्याज सब्सिडी दी जाएगी, जो अधिकतम एक करोड़ रुपये प्रतिवर्ष होगी।
23556. बजाज ऑटो ने पुराने चेतक फैक्ट्री वाली साइट पर लगाई EV मैन्युफैक्चरिंग यूनिट, जानें साल में कितना उत्पादन और कितनों को मिलेगा रोजगार
- बजाज ऑटो लिमिटेड (Bajaj Auto Limited) ने पुणे के अकूर्दी में एक नई इलेक्ट्रिक व्हीकल मैन्युफैक्चरिंग यूनिट का ऐलान किया है।
- इस प्लांट से जून 2022 से व्हीकल रोल आउट किए जाएंगे, साथ ही कंपनी इस प्लांट से एक्सपोर्ट भी करेगी। इस प्लांट की क्षमता सालाना 5 लाख इलेक्ट्रिक व्हीकल बनाने की होगी और इसके लिए कंपनी ने 300 करोड़ रुपये के निवेश की घोषणा की है। बजाज के पुराने और ओरिजिनल चेतक स्कूटर की फैक्ट्री भी अकूर्दी में ही थी।
- बजाज की यह मैन्युफैक्चरिंग यूनिट 5 लाख वर्ग फुट से ज्यादा में फैली हुई है और इसमें 800 कर्मियों को रोजगार मिलेगा। बजाज ऑटो द्वारा किए गए निवेश को कई विक्रेताओं द्वारा सप्लीमेंट किया जाएगा, जो आगे 250 करोड़ रुपये का निवेश करेंगे।

- 35 साल की यति भास्कर वुमन से बातचीत में कहती हैं,‘गुजरात का ओलगाम जहां कुल 1,200 की आबादी रहती है। मेरे जन्म के समय इस गांव में स्कूल और आधुनिकता का दूर-दूर तक लेना-देना नहीं था। मेरे जैसे परिवार अपवाद रहे जिन्होंने हमें पढ़ने के लिए घर से दूर भेजा। गांव में स्कूल न होने की वजह से मुझे मामा के घर बिलीमोरा कस्बा में भेजा गया, जहां मैंने 12वीं तक की शिक्षा पूरी की।
- देसाई फाउंडेशन में सैनिटरी नैपकिन और मेंस्ट्रुअल हाइजनी पर अवेयरनेस को लेकर प्रोजेक्ट की तैयारी हो रही थी। इसी वक्त मेरी एंट्री हुई तो मुझे ये प्रोजेक्ट मिल गया। एक पंथ दो काज वाला मुहावरा मेरे ऊपर अच्छे से लागू होता है। हा हा हा… क्योंकि मुझे सोशल डेवलपमेंट में पहले से ही इंटरेस्ट था। दूसरा, मुझे प्रोडक्शन, ट्रेनिंग, क्वालिटी एश्योरेंस, प्रोडक्शन मैनेजमेंट इन सब की पहले ही समझ थी क्योंकि 7 साल किसी कंपनी में काम करके आ रही थी।
- 2017 में सेनिटरी नेपकिन के इस प्रोजेक्ट के हमने ‘आसानी’, फॉर वुमन बाय वुमन नाम दिया। ‘आ’ मतलब आरोग्य, ‘सा’ माने सावधानी और ‘नी’ मतलब निश्चिंतता। कहने का मतलब यह हुआ कि महिलाएं अगर अपने आरोग्य की सावधानी रखेंगी तो निश्चिंत होकर जी सकेंगी। इस प्रोजेक्ट का इनोगरेशन गुजरात के तत्कालीन सीएम विजय रुपाणी ने किया। यहां प्रोडक्शन, डिस्ट्रीब्यूशन, अवेयरनेस सबकुछ महिलाएं कर रही हैं। फार्मेसी से सोशल डेवलपमेंट में आने से मेरे करिअर को पॉजिटिव शेप मिली।
23558. After S-400 missiles and AK-203 rifles, Russia offers India its cutting-edge Armata tank technology
- Taking the Military-Technical Cooperation (MTC) between the two countries to a new high, Russia has offered India "new areas of work", including developing together new armoured vehicles based on the T-14 Armata tank platform.
- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and his Russian counterpart Sergey Shoygu had co-chaired the discussions which were held just a few hours before the 21st India–Russia Annual Summit between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
- The Russian Defence Ministry says that the main combat characteristics of the Armata T-14 tank are a high degree of passive and active armour protection, which is superior to any other types of armoured vehicles; as well as high cross-country mobility and great firepower.

23559. नही करना होगा चार्ज, अपने देश में सोलर कार ISRO ने किया तैयार, जल्द TATA, Maruti कंपनिया लाएगीं बाज़ार में
- भारतीय अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान संगठन ( ISRO ) ने एक सोलर हाइब्रिड इलेक्ट्रिक कार का निर्माण किया. इसरो ने इस कार के निर्माण में देसी संसाधनों का इस्तेमाल किया है. इस कार का प्रदर्शन केरल की राजधानी तिरुवनंतपुरम स्थित विक्रम साराभाई अंतरिक्ष केंद्र ( Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre ) में किया गया.
- इसरो के वैज्ञानिकों ने इस सोलर कार को इन्वाइरनमेंट फ्रेंडली कार की घोषणा की. आपको बता दे कि विक्रम साराभाई अंतरिक्ष केंद्र कई तरह के रॉकेट का निर्माण करता है. फिलहाल इसरो अब सोलर कार की लागत में कटौती करने पर काम कर रहा है, ताकि इसको आम लोगों की रीच में लाया जा सके.
- सोलर कार में हाई एनर्जी लिथियम बैटरी फिट की गई है. इस बैटरी को सूर्य की रोशनी से चार्ज किया जा सकेगा. उन्होंने बताया कि वाहन निर्माण की मुख्य चुनौतियों में कार के टॉप पर एक सौर पैनल बनाना बैटरी व सौर पैनल इंटरफेस को इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स कंट्रोलिंग शामिल है. अब जबकि इसरो ने इस कार की लागत में कटौती का काम शुरू कर दिया है, अब देखना यह होगा कि मार्केट में यह कार कम तक पहुंचेगी. ISRO के पब्लिक प्रडक्शन की हरी झंडी मिलते ही TATA और मारुति जैसी कंपनिया इसका मोडल आम लोगों के लिए ले आएँगीं.
23560. Safer skies! DRDO to launch next gen anti-radiation missile soon
- The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is preparing for the launch of the new next-generation anti-radiation missile (also known as Rudram) very shortly
- The NGARM is yet another missile being readied. While several launches have happened, today's launch, if successful, will then allow for its serial production, placing it in the arsenal of the armed forces. The launch comes in the wake of the recent successful launches of the strategic long-range Agni-P and the tactical surface to surface Pralay missiles.
- It is a tactical, air-launched missile that detects enemy radar positions and then, seeks and destroys them. This means that the missile, fired from an aircraft about 100 km from the target, will detect it, home on to it, and destroy it.
