2161. भारत और इटली के बीच विज्ञान, तकनीक और शोध में बड़ा समझौता
- 11 अप्रैल 2025 को भारत के केंद्रीय मंत्री और को इटली की यूनिवर्सिटी और रिसर्च मंत्री अन्ना मारिया बर्निनी दोनों मंत्रियों ने विज्ञान और तकनीक के क्षेत्र में मिलकर काम करने के लिए एक अहम समझौते (MoU) पर हस्ताक्षर किए।
- भारत की वैज्ञानिक प्रगति पर बात करते हुए डॉ. सिंह ने डीएनए आधारित कोविड वैक्सीन, एचपीवी वैक्सीन, और पहली जीन थेरेपी ट्रायल की जानकारी दी। उन्होंने स्टार्टअप्स, कृषि नवाचार जैसे सुगंध मिशन, सॉयल हेल्थ कार्ड और TKDL जैसे प्रयासों की भी सराहना की।
- दोनों देशों ने आगे और क्षेत्रों जैसे ग्रीन हाइड्रोजन, नीली अर्थव्यवस्था, सांस्कृतिक धरोहर संरक्षण और क्लीन एनर्जी में मिलकर काम करने का संकल्प लिया।

2162. India’s Renewable Energy Capacity Achieves Historic Growth In FY 2024-25, Marking A Major Milestone In Clean Energy
- On 11 April 2025 Ministry of New and Renewable Energy progress in India’s clean energy sector for the financial year 2024–25. According to the Ministry, the country added a record 29.52 GW of renewable energy capacity during the year, bringing the total installed renewable energy capacity to 220.10 GW as of 31st March 2025.
- The achievement reflects India’s steady progress toward its goal of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel-based energy capacity by 2030, a commitment made under the ‘Panchamrit’ targets.
- Solar energy was the largest contributor to the capacity addition in 2024–25. A total of 23.83 GW of new solar capacity was installed during the year, compared to 15.03 GW added in 2023–24. With this addition, the total installed solar energy capacity in the country has risen to 105.65 GW.
2163. Lucknow–Kanpur Motorway to Use AIMGC for First Time in India
- On 11 April 2025 The Lucknow–Kanpur Motorway is set to become India’s most technologically advanced motorway with the adoption of Automated Intelligence Machine Guided Construction (AIMGC) — a precision-driven construction method previously used only in the United States and Germany.
- first time AIMGC is being deployed in India’s road infrastructure sector. The system ensures strict adherence to prescribed material quality and quantity, with real-time alerts issued in case of any deviation during construction.
- The total 63 km length, a 45 km greenfield section between Bani and Kanpur is being built using AIMGC, GPS, and 3D modelling technologies. The goal is to deliver a high-durability, perfectly levelled motorway that offers a superior driving experience.

2164. Indian Army’s robot mules and nano drones in action in earthquake-stricken Myanmar

2166. Once completed, the Etalin project, one of India’s largest, will enhance renewable energy capacity, boost national energy security, and drive regional growth in Arunachal Pradesh.
- On April 10, 2025, the Arunachal Pradesh government allocated Rs 269.97 crore for the 3,097 MW Etalin Hydroelectric Project in Dibang Valley, handed over by CM Pema Khandu to the Anini Deputy Commissioner.
- CM thanked Deputy CM, Chief Secretary, and central and state officials for their support in advancing this major hydropower initiative. He also acknowledged the Mishmi community’s crucial cooperation, emphasizing their role in harnessing Arunachal’s hydropower potential for sustainable development and prosperity.

2167. IIM Raipur and NADT join hands to encourage innovation in taxation, governance and public policy
- On April 9, 2025The Indian Institute of Management Raipur signed an MoU with the National Academy of Direct Taxes , Nagpur. The partnership will facilitate cooperation in important areas such as taxation, law enforcement, public policy, and management.
- Professor Ram Kumar Kakani, Director of IIM Raipur, and Shri Aakash Dewangan, Additional Director General of NADT, signed the agreement. The partnership was anticipated to promote a broad spectrum of activities such as collaborative research, faculty development programs, student internships, and field training.
- Prof. Kakani said, "Such significant collaborations broaden the knowledge horizon of young minds, providing them with the freedom to indulge in innovative thinking for the public good.

2168. Cabinet approves 6-lane Zirakpur bypass to decongest Chandigarh
- On 9 April, 2025, The Union Cabinet approved the construction of the six-lane Zirakpur bypass at a total capital cost of ₹1,878.31 crore, with the aim to decongest cities such as Zirakpur and Panchkula, by diverting traffic moving towards Himachal Pradesh.
- The six-lane Zirakpur bypass will start from the Zirakpur-Patiala junction on NH-7 and end at the Zirakpur-Parwanoo junction on NH-5 with a total length 19.2 km, running through Punjab and Haryana.
- Once developed, the bypass will help traffic headed to Himachal Pradesh avoid the highly urbanised and congested stretch of Zirakpur in Punjab and Panchkula in Haryana.

2169. India’s exports surge to record $820 billion in 2024-25 despite global challenges
- On 10 April 2025 India’s goods and services exports have crossed a record $820 billion in financial year 2024-25, which represents a close to 6 per cent increase over the corresponding figure of $778 billion for the 2023 to 2024 .
- The minister complimented the exporters for the all-time high achievement in exports in spite of multiple headwinds, including the Red Sea crisis, Israel-Hamas conflict spilling over to the Gulf region, continuation of the Russia-Ukraine conflict and slow growth in some developed economies. The Minister lauded the exporters for their resilience and efforts.
- The country is working in a proactive manner and exploring solutions which are in the best interest of the nation. The team working on BTA is exploring the right mix and the right balance, and he exhorted the exporters not to panic and look at the silver lining in the present scenario.

2170. SRO to build military satellites for surveillance and intelligence
- On 10 April 2025 India has taken a big step toward this future, as Chief of Defence Staff General announced plans to launch several satellites for intelligence and surveillance during the Indian DefSpace Symposium in Delhi.
- These satellites will be built by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and will boost the military’s ability to watch and listen from space.
- The military space doctrine will also be ready in three months, guiding how these tools will be used. With India’s long borders and strategic needs, this move shows how seriously the nation is taking space as a new frontier for defence.
- The satellites play two key roles watching over vast areas (surveillance) and gathering secret information (intelligence). Together, they give the military a powerful advantage in today’s fast-moving world.
