152. India’s Solar Power Generation Rises 22% YoY in 2025 on Project Commissioning Surge
- On 5 February 2026, India’s solar power generation rose nearly 22% YoY in 2025 to 164.5 billion units (BU), driven by a surge in project commissioning across India.
- According to the Central Electricity Authority, growth came as delayed solar projects resumed after regulatory clarity and as developers rushed to commission capacity before the ISTS transmission charge waiver expiry.
- In Q4 2025, solar output reached 41.2 BU (+20.4% YoY). Northern India led generation, supported by solar additions and strong quarterly installation growth.
153. Swan Defence & Heavy Industries bags export order from Oman govt
- On 5 Feb 2026, Swan Defence and Heavy Industries Limited won a defence export order from the Government of the Sultanate of Oman to supply a naval training ship from India to Oman.
- The training ship will be constructed and supplied by Swan Defence and Heavy Industries for the Royal Navy of Oman, with delivery expected within 18 months, strengthening bilateral maritime cooperation.
- The vessel will be 104.25 m long, displace up to 3500 tonnes, feature advanced navigation and communications, support helicopter operations, and house up to 70 officer cadets for training at sea.

- Ahmedabad-based solar PV maker GREW Solar won the order from a leading Independent Power Producer (IPP) by leveraging advanced manufacturing, quality control, and strong execution capabilities.
- GREW Solar, backed by Chiripal Group, is expanding its Dudu plant to 11 GW and building a 3 GW cell plant at Narmadapuram, having already scaled to 3 GW capacity with high-efficiency TOPCon modules.

157. Loom Solar Launches BESS Scalable Up to 1 MWh for C&I Consumers
- On 4 February 2026, Haryana-based solar firm Loom Solar launched a 125 kW/261 kWh battery energy storage system (BESS), scalable up to 1 MWh, for commercial and industrial (C&I) users in India.
- Loom Solar designed the IoT-enabled BESS to replace diesel generators, offering instant power availability, real-time monitoring, intelligent energy management, and seamless renewable power integration.

159. Vingroup Signs Mou With Tamil Nadu, Strengthening Its Multi-Sector Ecosystem in India
