891. Tripura Signs MoU with AIIMS Delhi to Elevate State’s Healthcare Infrastructure: CM Dr Manik Saha
- On October 15, 2025, Tripura’s Department of Health and Family Welfare signed an MoU with AIIMS New Delhi at Tripura Bhavan, New Delhi, to enhance healthcare services and transform state medical institutions into centers of excellence.
- The MoU, attended by CM and AIIMS Delhi Director Dr. M. Srinivas, will develop Agartala Government Medical College and GB Pant Hospital into advanced medical hubs, integrating super specialty care, cutting-edge facilities, and AIIMS-standard medical education.
- The collaboration aims to improve medical education, research, and patient care across Tripura, strengthening the state’s healthcare ecosystem and ensuring better health outcomes for its citizens.

892. Tripura Unveils Rs 500-Crore Tourism Drive with Seven Major Projects, Seeks Centre’s Support
- On October 15, 2025, Tripura unveiled seven major tourism projects worth over Rs 500 crore during the National Conference of Tourism Ministers in Rajasthan, aiming to transform the state into a prime tourist destination.
- Tripura’s Tourism Minister , supported by PM and CM , announced initiatives to develop eco-tourism, adventure parks, heritage sites, and infrastructure, enhancing both domestic and foreign tourist inflow.
- Tripura recorded a 64.08% rise in domestic tourists and 36.16% growth in foreign visitors (2023–2024). Projects include eco/adventure parks, waterfront development, 51 Shakti Peethas replica, and the Paryatan Sahayak Prakalp to empower local tourism stakeholders.

893. Mizoram Emerges As Top Tourist Destination In Northeast, Sees 139.5% Surge In Visitors
- On October,14,2025 , Mizoram Chief Minister highlighted that over 5.2 lakh tourists visited Mizoram in 2024, marking a 139.5% increase from the previous year, making it a top Northeast tourist destination, with growth expected to continue after the Bairabi–Sairang railway line inauguration.
- The 51-km Bairabi–Sairang railway line, inaugurated by Prime Minister on September 13, 2025 connects Aizawl to Assam’s Silchar, enhancing accessibility, boosting tourism, and promoting trade in Mizoram.
- Chief Minister emphasized tourism’s economic potential, urging locals to preserve land and traditions while showcasing Mizo culture, ethics, and hospitality to attract and benefit visitors sustainably.

894. Mizoram CM Lalduhoma Inaugurates Banana Pseudostem Processing Unit At Zuangleng
- On 15 October, 2025, Chief Minister inaugurated the Common Facility Centre for Banana Pseudostem Utilization at Zuangleng, Serchhip District, under the NECTAR Livelihood Improvement Project.
- The project, funded by the Ministry of DoNER under PM-DevINE and implemented by NECTAR, aims to convert banana pseudostems into value-added products through technological processing, engaging local workers and entrepreneurs.
- The CFC will produce fibre-based handicrafts, handmade paper, vermicompost, and vegan leather, promoting sustainable livelihoods and income generation, supported by NECTAR’s expertise across the North East.

895. Servotech Wins 2.58MW Solar Rooftop Railway Project
- On 15 October,2025, It was reported that, Servotech Renewable Power has secured a 2.58 MW grid-connected rooftop solar project in the South Eastern Railway’s Ranchi Division, marking a significant milestone in India’s clean energy transition.
- Servotech Renewable Power will execute the project for Indian Railways by designing, manufacturing, supplying, installing, testing, and commissioning solar PV panels across multiple rooftops.

896. Jammu and Kashmir sees ten-fold rise in investor base on NSE in last decade
- On october 14, 2025, Jammu and Kashmir has registered a ten-fold increase in the investor base on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) over the last ten years, indicating rising financial awareness and growing trust in formal financial systems.
- According to NSE data, the investor base in Jammu and Kashmir rose from 65,000 in 2015 to 6.51 lakh in 2025, showing a ten-fold increase, compared to the overall national investor base, which grew from 1.79 crore in 2015 to 11.28 crore in 2025 -- a 6.2-fold rise.
- An NSE official said in 2010, Jammu and Kashmir had an investor base of 40,000, which rose to 60,000 in 2014, 65,000 in 2015, and 70,000 in 2016.
897. India’s smartphone exports surge over 60% in April-September 2025
- On October 14, 2025, it was reported that India’s smartphone exports jumped to $13.5 billion from $8.5 billion in the same period in 2024 marking a growth of over 60% between April and September 2025.
- The United States remains the largest destination, accounting for 70% of total smartphone exports, up from 37% last year. Exports to the US alone soared to $9.4 billion from $3.1 billion, registering a remarkable growth of over 200% year-on-year.
- Looking ahead, India’s total smartphone exports for FY26 are projected at $35 billion, up from $24.1 billion in FY25, reflecting the country’s growing strength in the global smartphone market.

898. Paras Defence signs MoU with Israel's Cielo for inertial solutions
- On October 14, 2025, Paras Defence and Space Technologies has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Israel-based Cielo Inertial Solutions for the sale and production of inertial sensors.
- Cielo is a global technology expert in inertial solutions and an Israeli manufacturer of closed-loop fiber optic gyroscopes (FOGs), Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs), GyroCompass, north finding systems, and inertial navigation systems (INS).
- An inertial navigation system is a navigation device that uses motion sensors (accelerometers), rotation sensors (gyroscopes), and a computer to compute the position and velocity (direction and speed of movement) of a moving object.
899. India unveils $77 billion hydro plan as China builds upstream dam
- On 13 october,2025, it was reported that, India’s Central Electricity Authority (CEA) has proposed a ₹6.4 trillion ($77 billion) plan to transmit over 76 GW of hydroelectric power from the Brahmaputra basin to meet growing electricity demand by 2047.
- Covering 208 projects across northeastern states like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and West Bengal, the plan includes 64.9 GW potential and 11.1 GW from pumped-storage plants. Phase 1 (until 2035) costs ₹1.91 trillion, Phase 2 ₹4.52 trillion.
- The project aims to reduce fossil fuel dependence, achieve 500 GW non-fossil capacity by 2030, and reach net zero by 2070, while managing strategic water concerns from China upstream.
900. Muse, NPCI join hands for India's first wearable payments ecosystem
- On 13 October, 2025, It was reported that, Indian startup Muse Wearables launched India’s first wearable payments ecosystem with Muse Wallet and NPCI’s RuPay network, enabling secure, phone-free payments via smart ring “Ring One” across India, including Tier-II and -III cities.
- Muse Wearables, an IIT Madras-incubated company headquartered in Bengaluru, partnered with NPCI, RuPay, LivQuik, and Infineon to develop Muse Wallet, a secure element tokenisation platform enabling instant, tamper-proof digital payments using RuPay cards.
- Muse Wallet converts RuPay cards into secure digital tokens stored on a secure element chip in Ring One, meeting EMV and PCI standards. Already live in 40 countries, it supports 600 global banks, aiming for widespread adoption in India.
