- स्वीडिश थिंक टैंक स्टॉकहोम पीस इंटरनेशनल रिसर्च इंस्टीट्यूट ने अपनी एक रिपोर्ट जारी की है, जिसमें विश्व की 100 सबसे बड़ी हथियार निर्माता और विक्रेता कंपनियों के बारे में जानकारी दी गई है। इसमें भारत की तीन कंपनियों को शामिल किया गया है
- हिंदुस्तान एयरोनॉटिक्स लिमिटेड, भारत इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और ऑर्डिनेंस फैक्ट्री बोर्ड विश्व के 100 सबसे बड़े हथियार विक्रेता कंपनियों में शामिल हैं। हालांकि, अब भी वैश्विक हथियार बाजार में भारत की हिस्सेदारी मात्र 1.2 फीसदी है, लेकिन हमारी हिस्सेदारी लगभग जर्मनी के बराबर हो गई है जो भारत के लिए बड़ी उपलब्धि है।

- गुजरात के भावनगर जिले के शिवाभाई रावजीभाई गोहिल ने अपने बच्चों की शादी के लिए एक अनोखा निमंत्रण कार्ड तैयार किया है जो उपयोग के बाद घोंसले में बदल जाता है।
- गुजरात के भावनगर जिले के उचेडी गांव में रहने वाले शिवाभाई ने अपने बेटे और बेटी की शादी में एक ऐसा कार्ड बनवाया जो उपयोग के बाद पर्यावरण संरक्षण का भी काम करेगा।
- इसके लिए उन्होंने अपने एक दोस्त नरेंद्रभाई फालदू की मदद ली थी। नरेंद्रभाई प्रकृति प्रेमी हैं। उनकी सलाह से उन्होंने एक कार्ड (unique wedding card) बनवाया है, जो इस्तेमाल के बाद पक्षी का घोंसला (bird nest) बन सकता है।

- मौजूदा कूकिंग स्टोव की स्थिति को देखते हुए IIT Guwahati के प्रोफेसर, पी मुथुकुमार की अगुवाई में एक ऐसे स्टोव को डिजाइन किया गया है, जिससे न सिर्फ 50% तक ईंधन की बचत हो सकती है, बल्कि इससे 30 फीसदी समय भी बचता है।
- आईआईटी गुवाहाटी (IIT Guwahati) के मैकेनिकल इंजीनियरिंग के प्रोफेसर, पी मुथुकुमार की अगुवाई में एक रिसर्च टीम ने पोरस रेडियंट बर्नर (PRBs) से लैस ऊर्जा-दक्ष और पर्यावरण के अनुकूल कुकिंग स्टोव का निर्माण किया है, जिससे एलपीजी, बायोगैस या किरोसीन जैसे ईंधनों की 25 से 50 फीसदी बचत हो सकती है।
- टू लेयर पीआरबी के साथ इस नई सेल्फ-एस्पिरेटेड एलपीजी कूकिंग स्टोव 80 फीसदी अधिक ऊर्जा दक्ष है। इसमें कार्बन मोनो ऑक्साइड (39-64 पीपीएम) और नाइट्रोजन ऑक्साइड (1-2.5 पीपीएम) का उत्सर्जन होता है, जो पारंपरिक स्टोव की तुलना में काफी कम है। इस प्रोजेक्ट के लिए आईआईटी गुवाहाटी (IIT Guwahati) की टीम ने बेंगलुरु की ‘अग्निसुमुख एनर्जी सॉल्यूशंस प्राइवेट लिमिटेड’ के साथ भागीदारी की है, जो कूकिंग एप्लीकेशंस को बनाने के लिए जानी जाती है। आईआईटी गुवाहाटी (IIT Guwahati) के मुताबिक, “पूरे देश में पीआरबी-बेस्ड कुकिंग स्टोव के इस्तेमाल से हर दिन करीब 13 लाख सिलेंडर एलपीजी की बचत होने के साथ ही, बर्नर-बेस्ड एप्लिकेशन पर इसका वैश्विक प्रभाव होगा।

- उत्तर रेलवे ने कटरा बनिहाल के बीच प्रस्तावित 110 किमी. लंबी रेल लाइन के तहत बानिकोट में एक और सुरंग बनकर तैयार हो चुकी है। साथ ही बनिहाल और खारी क्षेत्र के बीच रेलवे सुरंगों को बनाने का काम लगभग पूर्ण हो चुका है।
- श्मीर को देश के अन्य हिस्सों से जोड़ने के लिए 272 किमी. लंबी उधमपुर-श्रीनगर-बारामूला रेल लाइन का निर्माण किया जा रहा है।
- वहीं कश्मीर से कन्याकुमारी तक रेलवे लाइन 2 वर्षों में शुरू होने वाली है। जबकि केंद्रशासित प्रदेश में 32 किमी. लंबी और लद्दाख में 20 किमी. लंबी सुरंगें निर्माणधीन हैं।

- In Jammu and Kashmir, continuing with its efforts to cover 100 percent of rural households with functional tap water connections under Jal Jeevan Mission by 2022, the UT Administration has provided 4.62 lakh tap water connections in two years.
- J&K have covered 10.37 Lacs (56.51 percent) households with tap water connection to date and out of which 2.22 lakh tap water connections have been provided during the year 2020-21. The Jal Jeevan Mission has mobilized all its men and machinery in the ongoing 2nd phase, to cover 11 districts, which includes 153 blocks, 1,952 Panchayat, and 3,254 villages with 4.91 lakh Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs).
- During the last leg of JJM in J&K, seven districts involving 121 blocks, 1,660 Panchayat, and 2,623 villages shall be covered with 3.12 lakhs functional household tap connections. The objective of the department is to cover 100 percent of households in a time-bound manner while ensuring the functionality of already provided.
