23612. Govt allows export of 7 crore Covovax vaccine doses to Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand
- The Indian government has permitted the export of 7 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccine ‘Covovax’ produced by Serum Institute of India here to Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand, official sources said.
- The Centre has allowed the export of 7 crore doses of Covovax vaccine to Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand.
- The Novavax has conducted phase 3 efficacy trials in the US and the UK wherein the efficacy of vaccine is reported to be 90.4 per cent and 86.9 per cent, respectively, the ministry added.
23613. CRPF installs solar street lights at Samuguri-I village
- As a part of the Civic Action Plan (CAP), the 186 BN CRPF installed solar street lights at Samuguri-I village near here
- Extending gratitude to the 186Bn, CRPF, gaon burah Tarun Ratan appreciated the CRPF for always extending their helping hands for the welfare of the villages.
- He also urged the CRPF to support them in fighting against the drug menace in the society.
23614. India, Philippines in advanced stage of negotiations on BrahMos missile deal
- DRDO and BrahMos Aerospace have together been pushing hard for exports of this missile to friendly foreign countries for the last few months.
- According to a list released by Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO) in February this year, Beyond Visual Range (BVR) air-to-air Missile Astra, anti-tank guided missile Nag and Brahmos weapon systems have been given clearance for export.
- Akash is a surface-to-air missile system which provides short-range air defence and can operate in autonomous or group mode of operation with a range of 3 to 25 km.

23615. केंद्र सरकार का बड़ा फैसला:351 डिफेंस प्रोडक्ट्स के इंपोर्ट पर दिसंबर 2022 से रोक, देश में ही होगा इनका निर्माण
- रक्षा मंत्रालय ने 351 डिफेंस प्रोडक्ट्स के इंपोर्ट पर रोक लगा दी है। मंत्रालय के मुताबिक, इन सभी प्रोडक्ट्स के इंपोर्ट को 3 स्टेज में बंद किया जाएगा। पिछले 16 महीने में मंत्रालय तरफ से इस तरह की तीन लिस्ट जारी हो चुकी है। इस फैसले से 3 हजार करोड़ रुपए की फॉरेन करेंसी की बचत होगी।
- पहले स्टेज में अगले साल दिसंबर तक 172 प्रोडक्ट्स का इंपोर्ट बंद होगा। इसके बाद दिसंबर 2023 तक 89 उपकरणों का आयात खत्म किया जाएगा। सबसे आखिर में दिसंबर 2024 तक 90 प्रोडक्ट्स का इंपोर्ट पूरी तरह बंद कर दिया जाएगा।
- देश में डिफेंस मैन्युफैक्चरिंग को बढ़ावा देने के लिए सरकार कई कदम उठा रही है। मई में जारी एक लिस्ट में 108 आर्मी हथियारों और नेक्स्ट जनरेशन के कॉर्वेट, एयरबोर्न अर्ली वार्निंग सिस्टम, टैंक इंजन और रडार जैसे सिस्टम के इंपोर्ट को रोक दिया गया था। सरकार ने पिछले साल मई में डिफेंस सेक्टर में ऑटोमेटिक रूट के तहत FDI की सीमा 49% से बढ़ाकर 74% करने का ऐलान किया था।

23616. 1,100 PPE manufacturing companies set up till July, 2021: Smriti Irani
- there was not a single Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Kit manufacturing company in India when there was an outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.
- due to conviction and relentless efforts by the Centre and other stakeholders, 1,100 PPE manufacturing companies were set up till the month of July in the same year.
- India became the second-largest exporter of PPE kits in the world.

23617. IIT Kharagpur gets more than 1,600 placement offers, highest salary Rs 2.4 crore
- Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur students have received more 1,600 job offers, the highest placement among all IITs, a statement issued by the premier institute said
- IIT Kharagpur achieved this feat in Phase I of placement season 2021 by achieving the target within 10 days,
- The highest offer of Rs 2.4 crore was made to a student while 22 other students got offers in the CTC range of Rs 0.9-2.4 crore. More than 245 companies have participated in this placement season thus contributing to this milestone
23618. आईआईटी रुड़की और भारतीय अंतर्देशीय जलमार्ग प्राधिकरण के मध्य हुआ तकनीकी समझौता
- आईआईटी रुड़की ने वाराणसी से साहिबगंज तक गंगा नदी के एक खंड के साथ 17 स्थानों पर नेविगेशनल चैनल के स्थिरीकरण पर भारतीय अंतर्देशीय जलमार्ग प्राधिकरण (आईडब्ल्यूएआई), नोएडा के साथ एक समझौता ज्ञापन (एमओयू) पर हस्ताक्षर किए।
- यह समझौता सिविल इंजीनियरिंग विभाग, आईआईटी रुड़की द्वारा गंगा पर पहले किये गए रूपात्मक अध्ययन (मॉर्फोलॉजिकल स्टडी) का अनुसरण करता है।
- परियोजना की लागत और अवधि क्रमशः 5.1 करोड़ रुपए और दो साल में इस प्रोजेक्ट को पूरा होना है।
23619. Watch: DRDO’s helicopter-launched SANT missile precisely strikes target. Rajnath Singh congratulates
- Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Air Force (IAF) on Saturday tested the indigenously designed and developed Stand-off Anti-tank (SANT) missile from Pokhran ranges, informed the Ministry of Defence.
- The test was successful in meeting all its mission objectives. The release mechanism, advanced guidance and tracking algorithms, all avionics with integrated software, performed satisfactorily and tracking systems monitored all mission events,
- The SANT missile is equipped with a state-of-the-art MMW seeker which provides high precision strike capability from a safe distance. The weapon can neutralise targets in a range up to 10 kms
23620. Gaganyaan to be launched in 2023, India's first space station by 2030: Jitendra Singh
- NEW DELHI: Clearing the air on the launch year of India's much-delayed maiden human spaceflight mission to space, Union space minister Jitendra Singh said the final crewed Gaganyaan mission will be launched in 2023.
- He also said the Venus mission is planned for launch in 2023, L-1 Aditya solar and Chandrayaan-3 missions due for launch in 2022-23 and the country's first space station is likely to come up by 2030.
- Singh said that more than 500 industries are involved in the launch of Gaganyaan. He said the programme got "slightly delayed" due to Covid restrictions, but preparations are now in full swing to achieve the mission by 2023
