23602. Over 81,000 health and wellness centres operationalised in India: Union minister
- The minister said with a focus on the provisioning of quality healthcare, covering the primary, secondary and tertiary spheres, the government launched the all-encompassing Ayushman Bharat Yojana in 2018 with the goal of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vishwas" in mind, the statement said.
- More than 81,000 health and wellness centres (HWCs) have been operationalised in the country and the target of 1.1 lakh HWCs will be achieved by the end of March 2022, Minister of State for Health Bharati Pravin Pawar said on Monday.
- While primary healthcare with the aim of providing services close to the community was launched in 2018, this was strengthened with the AB-PMJAY in September 2018 and the Ayushman Digital Mission and the Prime Minister Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission this year.

Patagonia, through textile major Arvind Mills, has purchased nearly 30,000 meters of Khadi Denim Fabric worth Rs 1.08 crore from Gujarat.

23604. India plans to produce 5 billion doses of COVID vaccines next year: Piyush Goyal
- Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Monday said India plans to produce 5 billion doses of COVID vaccines next year and keep contributing to make the world a safer place to live in.
- India, the world’s largest producer of vaccines, has resumed the supply of COVID vaccines to other countries. It had suspended export of the COVID vaccines in April this year to focus on inoculating its own population following a sudden spike in coronavirus infections.
- Speaking at the CII Partnership Summit 2021, Goyal said India is one of the shining examples of both vaccinating her own population as well as providing vaccines to the rest of the world.
23605. Railways to invite tenders for 40GW renewable energy projects
- Indian Railways will invite mega tenders for about 40 gigawatt (GW) of renewable energy in the next two to three years, Union railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said, asking both local and global companies to be ready for large investments
- There is greater focus on clean energy in India to address climate change, the minister said at the CII Partnership Summit 2021 on Monday, adding that the railways is doing its bit to increase the consumption of green energy for its requirements.
- India, which has already reached 100 GW of renewable energy, is on course to achieve its 200 GW milestone and the railways is doing its bit to help the country achieve these objectives, the minister said.

- केंद्र सरकार आत्मनिर्भर योजना के तहत देश में तमाम तरह की मैन्यूफैक्चरिंग (Manufacturing) को बढ़ावा देने पर फोकस कर रही है, जिसमें सेमीकंडक्टर (Semiconductor) भी शामिल है. भारत में चिप (Chip) की कमी की वजह से गाड़ियों की बिक्री पर ब्रेक लग गया है, जिससे ऑटो इंडस्ट्री (Auto Industry) की परेशानी बढ़ गई है.
- Intel के इस कदम को भारत सरकार के हालिया ऐलान से जोड़कर देखा जा रहा है. सरकार ने देश में सेमीकंडक्टर के उत्पादन और इससे संबंधित रिसर्च को बढ़ावा देने के लिए बड़े ऐलान किए हैं. वहीं Intel के स्वागत में आईटी और इलेक्ट्रोनिक्स मिनिस्टर अश्वनी वैष्णव (Ashwini Vaishnaw) का ट्वीट सामने आया है. उन्होंने Intel का स्वागत करते हुए लिखा है 'Intel - welcome to India.'
- यह घोषणा ऐसे वक्त में हुई, जब इलेक्ट्रॉनिक चिप की दुनिया भर में कमी है और कई सेमीकंडक्टर कंपनियां अपनी क्षमता को बढ़ा रही हैं. सरकार को उम्मीद है कि सेमी-कंडक्टर प्लांट भारत में लगने से करीब 1.35 लाख रोजगार के अवसर पैदा होंगे.

- डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ टेलीकम्युनिकेशन (DoT) ने एक प्रेस रिलीज के जरिए भारत में 5G रोलआउट की जानकारी दी है। DoT ने कहा कि '224 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से यह प्रोजेक्ट 31 दिसंबर, 2021 तक पूरा होने की उम्मीद है। 5जी (/टॉपिक/ 5जी) यूजर्स डिवाइस (UE) और 5G (/टॉपिक/ 5जी) द्वारा नेटवर्क डिवाइस के एंड-टू-एंड टेस्टिंग का रास्ता साफ करता है।
