23321. Guyana receives 80,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine from India
- Guyana received 80,000 doses of Made-in-India COVID-19 vaccines under the 'Vaccine Maitri' programme.
- "Guyana Prime Minister Mark Phillips and High Commissioner of India to Guyana Dr KJ Srinivasa receive Indian gift of 80,000 doses of MadeInIndia COVISHIELD vaccines - a testimony of India's hand of friendship VaccineMaitri," India in Guyana wrote in a tweet.
- In a tweet, External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar also informed that Guyana has receives Made in India vaccines.Jaishankar wrote, "A kinship across oceans. Guyana receives Made in India vaccines."
- India, a world pharmacy, is at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19 and is emerging as a key supplier of the vaccines to over 70 countries on a commercial and humanitarian basis.

23322. Made-in-India vaccines airlifted for Somalia
- Continuing its Vaccine Maitri initiative to assist countries in their fight against the coronavirus pandemic, India airlifted Made-in-India vaccines to the Horn of Africa - Somalia .
- The information about the consignment was shared by the External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar through his Twitter account.
- He tweeted, "Reaching across the Indian Ocean. Made in India vaccines arriving in Somalia."

23323. Watch: DRDO successfully tests indigenous Aerial Target 'Abhyas'
- DRDO developed this High-speed Expendable Aerial Target Abhyas to meet the requirement of aerial targets of the Indian Armed Forces.
- In a huge development, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully conducted the flight test of Indigenously developed High-speed Expendable Aerial Target (HEAT) Abhyas.The successful flight test of Abhyas was conducted from Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur off the coast of Odisha. During the flight trial, a high subsonic speed trajectory at a very low altitude with high endurance was demonstrated
- Two boosters provided initial acceleration during launch and a small turbo jet engine was used to sustain high subsonic speed with long endurance. The indigenous data link designed by Bengaluru based industry partner was also successfully tested during the flight. The performance of the system during the entire flight duration has been confirmed from the data captured by various Range instruments deployed.
23324. Tata Motors incorporates its EV arm
- At present, Tata Motors, with a portfolio of 3 EV models, controls over two-third of India’s small but fast-growing electric passenger vehicles market.
- Home-grown auto major Tata Motors has incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited (TPEML), with an initial capital of Rs 700 crore to lead its electric vehicle (EV) ambitions. Tata Motors, the promoter of TPEML, would hold 100% share capital in the EV unit
- the automaker had unveiled its plans to invest to the tune of $2 billion in its EV business over the next five years during which they aim to have a portfolio of 10 EVs. US-based private equity investor TPG Capital and others have already committed investment of over Rs 7,500 cr in Tata’s EV subsidiary.
23325. INS Khukri decommissioned after 32 years of service
- During her service, the ship was commanded by 28 Commanding Officers and traversed a distance of over 6,44,897 nautical miles
- The ship solemn ceremony was held at Visakhapatnam wherein the national flag, naval ensign, and the decommissioning pennant were lowered at sunset in the presence of Vice Admiral Biswajit Dasgupta, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Eastern Naval Command, the chief guest for the ceremony and some serving and retired former commanding officers of the ship.

23326. डीपीआर तैयार: सेना के लिए चीन सीमा तक अलग से बिछेगा 13 किलोमीटर रेल ट्रैक
- सेना के लिए बनने वाली इस विशेष पटरी को पूरा करने के लिए एक पुल और टनल का निर्माण भी किया जाएगा। इसकी विस्तृत परियोजना रिपोर्ट (डीपीआर) तैयार कर ली गई है। इसी माह के अंत तक डीपीआर केंद्र सरकार को सौंपी जाएगी।
- यह ट्रैक लेह के शेशरथांग के करीब नदी के किनारों से होकर बिछाया जाएगा। इस ट्रैक के बनने से सेना को सड़क मार्ग से सामान नहीं ले जाना पड़ेगा। रसद पहुंचाने में आसानी होगी। मुख्य ट्रैक पर भी शेशरथांग समेत पांच स्टेशन ऐसे होंगे, जहां सेना को सामान उतारने-चढ़ाने की विशेष सुविधा दी जाएगी।
- सामरिक महत्व की भानुपल्ली-मनाली-लेह रेललाइन की डीपीआर के अनुसार पुलों, टनलों, सिविल कार्य, इलेक्ट्रिकल, सिग्नलिंग और टेली कम्यूनिकेशन, भूमि अधिग्रहण और अन्य कार्यों पर करीब 99,000 करोड़ रुपये खर्च होंगे। हिमाचल और लद्दाख में 1100-1100 हेक्टेयर भूमि का अधिग्रहण किया जाएगा। इसमें 26 फीसदी वन भूमि भी शामिल है। भूमि अधिग्रहण पर 11.5 हजार करोड़ रुपये का खर्च आएगा।

23330. Moving forward together! India hands over ventilators and ambulances to Nepal
- As a gesture of solidarity and close cooperation, India's Ambassador to Nepal VM Kwatra today handed over the medical equipment including ventilators and ambulances to General Purna Chandra Thapa, Chief of the Nepali Army. This is probably a day after Nepal`s new Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister, Raghubir Mahaseth on Wednesday sought India`s support for Covid vaccines.
- Project HOPE and partners have distributed 150 oxygen concentrators, 8000 oxygen masks, 227000 units of PPE, 3250 pulse oximeters, and other supplies in 5 Indian states: Karnataka, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha. They also have developed an innovative program aimed at pediatric COVID-19 patients to improve protection and clinical care for children in 28 Indian health facilities.
- Over 750 Nepali healthcare workers have been trained on COVID19 Acute Care, with several more sessions planned in the coming weeks. In Nepal, hospital beds, 100 oxygen tanks, 84 oxygen concentrators, temporary hospital tents, and 8000 units of PPE have been distributed.
