- भारत में स्वच्छ पानी के कछुओं की 29 प्रजातियां हैं। जिनमें से 17 प्रजातियां अंतरराष्ट्रीय बाजार में उच्च मांग, अवैध तस्करी, व्यापार और आवास के नुकसान के कारण खतरे में हैं। इन्हें संरक्षित करना आवश्यक है।
- वह पिछले 13 वर्षों में सात प्रजातियों को विलुप्त होने के कगार से बचा चुके हैं।

21573. Meet the ‘Farm Influencers’ Whose YouTube Videos Are Helping Millions of Farmers
- With a hefty 18.2 million subscribers on YouTube, Indian Farmer, founded by two friends — Akash Jadhav and Santhosh Jadhav, is helping farmers across the country with everyday farm-related issues. They are young, enthusiastic, talkative, and passionately in love with the internet, smartphones, drones, agricultural farming and ‘jugaad’.
- They are the new sensation on YouTube, having amassed 182 lakh (18.2 million) subscribers for their channel Indian Farmer, within three years since June 2018.
- The duo in their mid-20s belong to a very small town called Vita, in Sangli districts of Maharashtra, where till a couple of years ago the Wifi connection was a real problem. Their earnings, they explain, keep on fluctuating between Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh a month. They have invested a lot of their money and reinvested a heavy chunk from their YouTube income towards their cause.

- शराब पीने से होने वाली मौतें, टीबी, HIV/AIDS और डायबटीज जैसी बीमारियों से होने वाली मौतों की तुलना में कहीं अधिक हैं। विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन (WHO) की एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार साल 2016 में, शराब के कारण दुनिया भर में लगभग 30 लाख लोग (कुल मौतों का 5.3 प्रतिशत) मारे गए थे।

21575. Devans eyes northeast market, starts production in Arunachal Pradesh
- Devans Modern Breweries, a leading producer of matured malt spirits and an extensive range of beer including the iconic Godfather, has given a major push to its expansion in the northeast with the commencement of beer production in Arunachal Pradesh.
- Devans has been a player in the Indian alcoholic beverage market for over six decades and has added 10,000 KL of manufacturing and bottling capacity for beer by tying up with a new brewery at Namsai in Arunachal Pradesh, a spokesman of the company said. ''Arunachal Pradesh has always been a very good market for us.
- We have tied up with a brewery in Arunachal Pradesh to boost our production and bottling capacity and in the near future we intend to replicate the same in other states,'' Devans Modern Breweries' Managing Director (MD) Prem Devan said. Devan said the Arunachal Pradesh foray would further help the firm get a better hold on the markets in the northeast.

21576. Assam Leads With 499 Start-Ups In North East
- Assam is leading the North East with the maximum number of start-ups in the region. A large number of start-ups have come up in the North Eastern Region (NER) in recent times as per the Government of India data.
- With the emergence of various stakeholders in the start-up ecosystem such as incubators, accelerators, and other venture funds, in the North East, it is heyday for the region’s start-ups.The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has recognised 674 start-ups from States of NER comprising of Arunachal Pradesh (8), Assam (499), Manipur (68), Meghalaya (17), Mizoram (6), Nagaland (21), Sikkim (8), and Tripura (47) as of January 31, 2022.
- This was stated by G Kishan Reddy, Minister for Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region Lok Sabha on February 8.
- the North East Development Finance Corporation Limited has released a total of Rs 41.14 crore to 22 start-ups till date through North East Venture Fund (NEVF) and a total of 36 proposals have received in-principle commitment of Rs 74.76 crore.

21577. SMC signs MoU with Praja,Azim Premji Foundations
- Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) on Tuesday signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Praja Foundation and Azim Premji Foundation aimed to improve the urban governance and quality education in city schools.
- The event was held at Sher-e-Kashmir International Conventional Centre (SKICC) on the banks of Dal Lake here with Lieutenant Governor J&K Manoj Sinha as a chief guest. The event was attended by office bearers of Praja Foundation and Azim Premiji Foundation besides Mayor Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) Junaid Azim Mattu, Commissioner SMC Amir Athar Khan, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Pandurang K Pole, Inspector General CRPF Charu Sinha, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar, SSP Srinagar Rakesh Bhalwal, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Aijaz Asad, Executive Committee members from SMC, elected Corporators of SMC and others.
- The Lieutenant Governor J&K, Manoj Sinha while addressing the event congratulated the participants of the deal, saying it will ensure a gigantic change in improving urban governance and quality education in Srinagar city. The LG said the MoU will ensure introduction of new teaching methods into schools so that the nation will get brilliant minds in future.
21578. GoI approves various projects submitted by Tribal Research Institute JK
- The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt of India convened the Project Approval Committee (PAC) meeting for Jammu and Kashmir to consider and approval various Research and Development projects submitted by the Tribal Research Institute, JK.
- Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA), India Anil Kumar Jha chaired the meeting which was attended by Jt Secretary MoTA, Dr Navaljeet Kapoor, Secretary, Tribal Affairs Department JK and Director, Tribal Research Institute Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Director TAD, Mushir Ahmed Mirza, OSD Dr Abdul Khabir, Asstt Director Sushil Kumar Gupta, Under Secretary Mukhtar Ahmed and senior officers from Govt of India and NITI Ayog.
- The PAC approved several proposals submitted by JK administration including establishment of Centre for Research in Tribal Health (CRTH) in coordination with Govt Medical College, Srinagar, establishment of Centre for Research and Advance Planning for Tribals (CRAPT) in Jammu and up gradation of Tribal Research Institute including accommodation of staff, scholars and faculty. Project related to Healthcare screening of Transhumant population migratory tribal population and capacity building of tribal youth was also approved.
21579. Properties of 610 Kashmiri Pandits restored in J&K: Govt
- As many as 610 Kashmiri Pandits were given back their properties left behind in Jammu and Kashmir following eruption of militancy there in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
- Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai also said in the Rajya Sabha that 3,000 state government jobs were created for Kashmiri migrants under the Prime Minister's Development Package-2015 (PMDP-2015) with an outlay of Rs 1,080 crore.
- The Jammu and Kashmir government has appointed 1,739 migrants and selected additional 1,098 migrants under PMDP-2015. As per the information provided by the government of Jammu and Kashmir, the land of 610 applicants (migrants) has been restored in the last five years, he said in a written reply to a question.
- The minister said the Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Immovable Property (Preservation, Protection and Restraint on Distress Sales) Act, 1997, District Magistrates (DMs) of the district concerned in Jammu and Kashmir are the legal custodians of the immovable properties of the migrants.

- एक ऑटो ड्राइवर का बेटा आज क्रिकेट के मैदान पर झंडे गाड़ रहा है। कहा जाता है कि लगन और कठिन परिश्रम के दम पर किसी भी मुश्किल हालात से बाहर आकर सफलता हासिल की जा सकती है और इस कथन को क्रिकेटर चेतन साकरिया ने बखूबी सच साबित किया है। गुजरात के भावनगर में जन्मे चेतन को आज क्रिकेट के मैदान पर उनके जोरदार प्रदर्शन के चलते भारत समेत पूरी दुनिया जान रही है।
- चेतन के लिए उनके जीवन का सबसे बड़ा मौका तब आया जब उनका चयन पहली बार सौराष्ट्र की अंडर-19 क्रिकेट टीम के लिए हुआ। सौराष्ट्र के लिए बेहतरीन प्रदर्शन करते हुए चेतन ने कूच विहार ट्रॉफी में 6 मैचों में 18 विकेट चटकाए थे।
- साल 2021 की आईपीएल नीलामी में चेतन को राजस्थान रॉयल्स ने 1.20 करोड़ रुपये की भारी-भरकम राशि के साथ अपने साथ जोड़ा था। चेतन इसी साल जुलाई में टीम इंडिया के लिए श्रीलंका के खिलाफ अपना वनडे और टी20 डेब्यू भी कर चुके हैं।
