- App developer Kundan Singh has made necessary adjustments to his flagship app Paper Scanner to ensure it is ready for the Indian market. Singh has been able to boost his app's popularity to 4000 downloads daily.
- Also, local developers at the Innovana Tech Labs, a tech firm in Jaipur launched Indian App finder on Google Play Store after. So far, more than 500 Indian apps can be found in their database.

- In November 2017, the startup launched its cutting-edge AR product mirrAR 2017. The realtime product allows clients to provide access to a large inventory to its customers. This allows shoppers to try on jewellery on a digital platform, without having to actually wear these pieces.

- Retail tech startup SnappBizz uses technology to connect mom-and-pop stores and FMCG companies, and has signed up over 10,000 kiranas. The startup, which clocked Rs 7 crore revenue amidst COVID-19 pandemic, is poised to grow its revenue 3x by 2021.
- SnapBizz has raised in excess of $12 million in the seed and Series A rounds from VCs such as Jungle Ventures, Taurus Venture, and Blume Ventures, as well as strategic investors like Nielsen, Qualcomm, AUO, and Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata.
- “This allowed him to send his sister to an English medium school. The reason for this increment was that he was able to increase the sales of the store by using SnapBizz solutions. This was an emotional and a proud moment for me," SnapBizz Founder Prem Kumar tells YourStory.

- कर्नाटक में वन विभाग अपनी 90 नर्सरियों में अधिकांश पौधे उगा रहा है। करोड़ों पौधे तैयार किए जा रहे है। ऐसे ही तमिलनाडु में भी करीब 36 नर्सरियों में पौधे तैयार किए जा रहे हैं। कारण है, एक नदी के आसपास के बदलते और बिगड़ते वातावरण को फिर से पुराना रंग देना। तमिलनाडु और कर्नाटक में पौराणिक महत्व की कावेरी नदी को बचाने के लिए चल रही मुहिम का ये दूसरा साल है। पिछले मानसून में इस नदी के किनारों और इसके कैचमेंट एरिया में करीब 1.1 करोड़ पौधे लगाए गए थे। इन एक करोड़ पौधों के लिए ये पहला मानसून था।
- इस पूरे प्रोजेक्ट को कावेरी कॉलिंग का नाम दिया गया है। ये एक लंबी अवधी तक चलने वाला आंदोलन है, जिसमें करीब 242 करोड़ पौधे 12 साल के भीतर लगाए जाएंगे। आध्यात्मिक और योगगुरु सदुगुरु जग्गी वासुदेव के ईशा फाउंडेशन ने इस मुहिम को शुरू किया है।
- सदगुरु ने केंद्रीय मंत्री प्रकाश जावड़ेकर के साथ एक मीटिंग में इस मुहिम से आने वाले बदलावों पर चर्चा की। इस अभियान में कर्नाटक और तमिलनाडु में फैली कावेरी नदी घाटी का भौतिक क्षेत्र 83,000 वर्ग किलोमीटर के इलाके की हरियाली को 33 प्रतिशत तक बढ़ाना है। इसमें ईशा फाउंडेशन के साथ सरकारी महकमे और कई हजार किसान जुड़े हुए हैं

- Product technology startup Hyper Lychee has launched a Kickstarter campaign for its first product, Skadu, an electric scrubber that will make short work of cleaning surfaces.
- A Skadu kit comprises the machine, a triple head attachment, scrub pads, and other attachments. The hand-held electric tool is designed to clean surfaces, with the three scrubber disks rotating in opposite directions.
- The starting price of Skadu is $89, and goes up to $119, depending on the power of the product. The startup claims to have sold over 650 units.

- Siddhant Dangi and Deepansh Goyal, final year engineering students at Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, have turned entrepreneurs by launching a technology startup that can help understand the thoughts of a human mind.
- It has created a headgear that captures electrical impulses of the brain and transmits them to its software platform, which analyses the data. Siddhant mentions that the cheapest EEG device that captures these signals costs around Rs 80,000.
- “It triggered a thought in our minds as to why can’t we leverage these bio-signals in the human brain, decipher them, and find out what they actually mean,” Siddhant says.

- Arup Sengupta who lived on the streets after he contracted TB, is now impacting hundreds of street children in Kolkata with various social initiatives, inspired by his caretaker, Mother Teresa.
- Seventy-year-old Kolkata-based social worker, Arup Sengupta was diagnosed with tuberculosis (TB) at the age of 16. He was told he had only seven months to live. He not only survived the dreaded disease but inspired by his caretaker, Mother Teresa is bringing new hope in the lives of street children in Kolkata.
- Arup laid the foundation for Notun Jibon, an NGO that works with street children to rehabilitate them and send them back to school The NGO is now looking after 367 children in Kolkata, most of whose parents live on a hand-to-mouth basis with an unstable income. Since these children could not afford to go to school, some of them requested Arup to teach them at night.
