781. Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya And DRDO Sign Strategic MoU To Advance Indigenous Defence Technologies And Logistics Research
- On 17 November 2025 in New Delhi, Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) and DRDO signed an MoU to collaborate on research, training, and technological solutions aimed at strengthening India’s defence and logistics capabilities.
- The agreement was signed by GSV Vice-Chancellor Prof Manoj Choudhary and DRDO’s Dr Lal Chand Mangal, in the presence of DRDO Chairman Dr Samir V Kamat, covering joint studies, conferences, seminars, and capacity-building programs for defence and logistics sectors.
- Focus areas include operational logistics, chip design, hardware security, and advanced encryption like blockchain and homomorphic systems. GSV, under the Ministry of Railways, will leverage its expertise in transport and supply-chain research to support India’s security ecosystem.
782. Centre approves 17 projects with over Rs 7,000 cr investment under Electronic Component Manufacturing Scheme
- On November 17, 2025, the Central government approved 17 projects with a total investment of Rs 7,172 crore under the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS). The approvals, announced by the Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, are expected to generate cumulative production worth Rs 65,111 crore and are spread across nine states.
- This second round of approvals under the scheme covers six product categories, including camera modules, connectors, and multi-layer printed circuit boards (PCBs). The selected companies include Jabil Circuit India, Aequs Consumer Products, Uno Minda, and TE Connectivity India, among others. With this tranche, the total number of projects approved under the ECMS has risen to 24.
- On the occasion, the IT Minister handed over the approval letter to the representatives of the companies. According to the IT Minister, these 17 projects will generate production worth 60 thousand crore rupees and over 11,000 jobs.

783. Uttarakhand Chief Minister unveils development projects on Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas
- On November 15, 2025 in Nanakmatta, Uttarakhand, Chief Minister inaugurated Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas celebrations and laid the foundation stone of Maharana Pratap Government College worth ₹9.68 crore, along with several civic infrastructure projects.
- CM announced seven new development initiatives, including a Kailash River bridge, Nanakmatta Dam tourism development, road blacktopping, community building funds, and naming Khatima bus stand after Maharana Pratap, while inaugurating municipal infrastructure and community works.
- He highlighted central schemes like Eklavya Schools, Van Dhan Yojana, Janjati Vikas Mission, ₹200-crore tribal museums, and scholarship programmes. Uttarakhand selected 128 tribal villages for upgraded services, with ITIs, ashram schools, free coaching, and ₹50,000 assistance for tribal daughters.
784. PM Modi inaugurates, lays foundation stone of various infrastructure and development projects worth over Rs 9,700 crore in Gujarat
- On November 15, 2025 in Dediapada, Gujarat, Prime Minister addressed the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas programme, inaugurating and laying foundation stones for multiple infrastructure and tribal welfare projects worth over Rs 9,700 crore.
- PM , accompanied by Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat and CM , inaugurated 100,000 tribal houses, 42 Eklavya Model Schools, Multi-Purpose Centres, roads, buses, and research institutes, and flagged off 250 buses to improve connectivity and tribal development.
- Projects include 748 km of roads, 50 new Eklavya Schools (Rs 2,320 crore), 14 Tribal Multi-Marketing Centres, Tribal Research Institutes, and centres under PM-JANMAN and DA-JAGUA schemes. Initiatives focus on education, culture, health, transport, and socio-economic empowerment of tribal communities.
785. 377 projects worth ₹702 crore cleared for development of Delhi’s villages
- On November 16, 2025, It was reported that, The Delhi Village Development Board (DVDB) approved 377 development projects worth ₹702 crore across 40 assembly constituencies, targeting urbanised and rural villages in Delhi, marking the second-highest sanction since the board’s reconstitution in September 2025.
- DVDB chairman Raj Kumar Chauhan said proposals from MPs, MLAs, and executing agencies—including the Irrigation & Flood Control Department, MCD, and DSIIDC—were approved in the board’s second meeting, with tenders to be issued soon.
- Of 377 projects, 259 are road works (~₹495 crore), 30 involve drains (~₹44 crore), 29 for chaupals (~₹67 crore), 10 community halls (~₹58 crore), plus parks, ponds, solar lighting, boundary walls, and wells, covering villages in Shalimar Bagh, Haiderpur, Badarpur, and Tughlaqabad.
786. Centre approves two new rail lines in Kutch
- On November 16, 2025 It was reported that, The Union Cabinet approved two new broad-gauge railway lines in Gujarat’s Kutch region - Desalpar-Hajipir-Luna (81.77 km) and Vayor-Lakhpat (62.69 km) — along with extensions connecting Bhuj-Naliya to Vayor and Naliya-Jakhau Port.
- The projects, totaling about 194 km at an estimated cost of ₹3,375 crore, aim to enhance industrial logistics by facilitating transportation of limestone, bentonite clay, and other resources, supporting local industries and port connectivity.
- The Naliya-Jakhau Port line (24.88 km, ₹410.46 crore) will link the port to India’s railway network, ease cargo flow, reduce road traffic, and hold strategic significance near the Pakistan border and the Naliya Air Force station.
787. CM Manik Saha opens Techno India University in Tripura
- On November 15, 2025, in Agartala, Tripura, Chief Minister Inaugurated Techno India University’s newly developed infrastructure at the Techno India Knowledge Campus, marking a major advancement for higher education and student facilities in the state.
- The inauguration was attended by Tripura CM, Kishor Barman, and Techno India Group Chancellor Roychowdhury. Facilities include Academic Block–D, Tagore Lounge, hostels, auditorium, V-C’s bungalow, open gym and theatre, and MoUs with institutions, fostering a future-ready educational ecosystem.
- TIUT now accommodates nearly 2,500 students from diverse states. The event also featured blood donation, tree plantation, student project displays, publication releases, and foundation stones for hostels and staff blocks, emphasizing sustainability, academic growth, and Tripura’s educational legacy.

788. CM Chandrababu Naidu, Goyal virtually laid foundation for Drone City and Space City in Rayalaseema
- On November 14, 2025 in Visakhapatnam, Chief Minister and Union Minister virtually laid foundation stones for a 300-acre Drone City in Orvakal and India’s first Twin Space Cities in Tirupati and Sri Sathya Sai districts.
- CM said Andhra Pradesh will become India’s drone hub and space-tech centre through integrated ecosystems combining design, manufacturing, testing, skilling, R&D, and policy support under AP Space Policy 4.0, enabling decentralised development and advanced technology expansion.
- The Space Cities will focus on research, satellite prototyping, component manufacturing, integration, and launch logistics, aiming to attract ₹25,000 crore investments and create 35,000 jobs with incentives including stamp duty waivers, R&D grants, and a ₹100-crore SpaceTech Fund.
789. DRDO develops new generation Man-portable Autonomous Underwater Vehicles for mine countermeasure missions
- On November 15, 2025, in New Delhi, the Defence Ministry announced that DRDO’s NSTL in Visakhapatnam has developed new Man-portable Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (MP-AUVs) designed for mine countermeasure missions following successful harbour field trials.
- NSTL scientists created multiple AUVs equipped with Side Scan Sonar, underwater cameras, deep-learning–based target recognition, and underwater acoustic communication, enabling autonomous detection, classification, and inter-AUV data exchange, reducing operator workload and mission time.
- Field trials validated critical mission parameters; industry partners are finalising system realisation, with production expected in months. DRDO Chairman Dr. Samir V. Kamat called the MP-AUVs a major milestone offering rapid, low-risk, networked solutions for naval mine warfare.
790. Nagaland Sees Significant Rise In corporate Investment, Says Sitharaman
- On November 15, 2025, in Kohima and Dimapur, Union Finance Minister inaugurated the AI & Future Skills Centre of Excellence and launched multiple development projects across Nagaland to strengthen technology training and regional infrastructure.
- Finance Minister highlighted how collaborations with Tata Group for semiconductor training and CYIENT Foundation for AI-based manufacturing and 3D printing are helping equip Nagaland’s youth with advanced skills, while also reviewing aspirational districts and promoting financial inclusion through a credit outreach programme.
- Finance Minister assessed progress under the Special Assistance for Capital Investment scheme with Chief Minister and virtually inaugurated a pre-fabricated multipurpose hall in Phek and a new guest house for administrative officers in Zunheboto.
