2021. Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train: First 100 Metre Span Of 'Make In India' Steel Bridge Launched Over NH-48 Near Nadiad In Gujarat
- On 26 April 2025 In a significant development for Mumbai-Ahmedbad bullet train project, the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) announced the successful launch of the first 100-metre span of a steel bridge over National Highway 48 in Gujarat.
- The bridge, part of a 200 metre two-span steel structure each measuring 100 metres, crosses one of India's busiest six-lane highways that connects Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai.
- "The first span of the bridge was launched on the highway across the three lanes by sliding the span for about 200 m from one end. The launching was carried out with a schedule to ensure smooth traffic flow on the busy highway, minimizing disruption to road users
- The span stands 14.6 meters tall and 14.3 meters wide and was assembled on temporary trestles at a height of 14.9 meters above the ground.
2022. Rs 6500 Crore Highway Project Approved In Pune: Check Route, Objectives & More
- On 26 April 2025 It was reported that, the Maharashtra government has cleared a ₹6,500 crore highway project to revamp the Talegaon-Chakan-Shikrapur corridor. Years of delays have finally given way to action, promising smoother traffic and better logistics along this critical 55-kilometre stretch of NH-548D.
- The newly approved plan includes a 25-kilometre elevated four-lane highway between Talegaon and Chakan, along with a six-lane surface road from Chakan to Shikrapur—designed to ease industrial transport and daily commuting.
- This highway is more than just an infrastructure project—it aims to reduce pollution, cut freight turnaround time, and improve road safety. Currently, NH-548D struggles with idling traffic and high particulate emissions.

2023. Prime Minister lays foundation stone of LPG Plant with Rail Unloading Facility at Hathua, Dist. Gopalganj, Bihar
- On 25 April 2025 it was reported that, Bharat Petroleum Corporation announced that Hon'ble Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, laid the foundation stone of a state-of-the-art LPG Bottling Plant with a Rail Unloading Facility at Hathua in Gopalganj District, Bihar.
- The project, worth Rs 340.15 Crore, is scheduled to be completed by 31 March 2027. The new LPG Bottling Plant will have a capacity of 180 Thousand Metric Tons Per Annum (TMTPA).
- The plant will be equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, including a railway unloading siding for efficient LPG receipt and storage, Mounded Storage Vessels (MSV) for safe storage, and a 2x24 station electronic carousel for streamlined operations.
2024. NTPC Green Energy signs MoU with Honeywell UOP to explore sustainable aviation fuel production
- On 25 April 2025, NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Honeywell UOP India Pvt Ltd to explore the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), marking a major step toward decarbonizing India’s aviation sector.
- Under the agreement, both parties will jointly conduct a feasibility study for SAF production using Honeywell’s proprietary eFining™ technology. The study will focus on utilizing captured carbon dioxide emissions from NTPC’s power plants and green hydrogen produced as part of NTPC’s ongoing renewable initiatives.
- This collaboration is a significant component of NTPC Green’s ambitious Green Hydrogen Hub project at Pudimadaka in Andhra Pradesh. Spanning approximately 1,200 acres, the hub is envisioned as a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to green chemicals and sustainable manufacturing.
2025. Vande Bharat Sleeper Train Production Line Inaugurated
- Titagarh Rail Systems Limited (TRSL), in collaboration with Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), on 25 April, 2025, inaugurated a dedicated production line for Vande Bharat Sleeper trains at its manufacturing facility in Uttarpara, West Bengal.
- The facility, set up under the consortium of TRSL and BHEL, follows a Rs 24,000 crore contract awarded by Indian Railways for the design, manufacturing, and 35-year maintenance of 80 Vande Bharat Sleeper train sets.
- The Vande Bharat sleeper trains will be India's first long-distance, semi-high-speed trains in a sleeper coach configuration. They are being designed to offer enhanced passenger comfort, indigenous technology, modern layouts, smart onboard systems, and improved safety features.
2026. DRDO achieves 'significant milestone' in scramjet engine development, boosts hypersonic tech
- On 26 April 2025 The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) achieved a major milestone as it conducted scramjet combustor ground testing for more than 1,000 seconds.
- The Defence Research & Development Laboratory (DRDL), a Hyderabad-based laboratory of the DRDO, has developed a long-duration supersonic combustion ramjet or scramjet-powered hypersonic technology.
- The defence ministry said that the DRDL conducted the "long-duration active cooled scramjet subscale combustor ground testing for more than 1,000 seconds at the newly built state-of-the-art Scramjet Connect Test Facility at Hyderabad."

2027. Madhya Pradesh gets approval for Rs 2,100 crore PM MITRA textile park project
- On 25 April 2025, CM of Madhya Pradesh said, It had received formal approval for the ₹2,100 crore PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park project. The project had been sanctioned by the Union Ministry of Textiles and will be the first integrated textile park of its kind in India.
- According to CM, the project would significantly enhance the state's industrial landscape and bolster India's textile sector on the global stage. The park, spanning 2,100 acres, is expected to attract significant investment and create a large number of employment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh.
- The PM MITRA Park will be located in Bhainsola village, Badnawar tehsil, in Dhar district. The location is strategically situated, approximately 110 km from Indore, 85 km from the Pithampur industrial cluster, and 50 km from the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway via Ratlam. The nearest port, Hazira, is 452 km away.

2028. ISRO Chief Announces Second Phase Testing Of 200-Ton Semi-Micro Engine In Tamil Nadu
- On 24 April 2025, In Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu, ISRO Chairman V. Narayanan announced that the Mahendragiri Space Centre is testing a 200-ton semi-micro engine powered by liquid oxygen and kerosene, emphasizing that India is progressing based on its people's needs, not global competition.
- For this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated a test facility worth Rs 1,000 crore to the country in Mahendragiri last year. The first phase of the test has already been completed, and the second phase is being conducted now.
- During his visit, ISRO Chairman Narayanan said that ISRO is actively working on sending humans to the moon by 2040. To recall, India made the groundbreaking discovery of water on the Moon through Chandrayaan 1. The country also leads globally in the advanced camera technology used in Chandrayaan-2. With Chandrayaan-3, India became the first country in the world to land on the south pole of the moon. ISRO is currently preparing for the Gaganyaan mission with Chandrayaan-4 launch set for 2027.
2029. India sends USD 2 million in medical aid to Nepal under Neighbourhood First Policy.
- On 25 April 2025 India reaffirmed its commitment to the Neighbourhood First Policy by sending USD 2 million worth of medical aid to Nepal.
- The assistance includes medicines and vaccines for patients with Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Disease. The first tranche of this aid consists of 17,030 vials of vaccines for the immunisation of Thalassemia patients.
- Sharing a post on X, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson "Reaffirming India's commitment to Neighbourhood First Policy. India sends assistance consisting of medicines and vaccines for patients with Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Disease worth $2 million, responding to a request from Nepal."

2030. India donates 4.8 tons of vaccines to Afghanistan, bracing humanitarian commitment
- On 24 April 2025 India sent a shipment of 4.8 tonnes of vaccines to Afghanistan, which included rabies, tetanus, hepatitis B and influenza vaccines. This step, managed by the XP Division in the Indian Ministry of External Affairs,
- The vaccines have also been received by the Afghan Ministry of Public Health, who noted the importance these vaccines will have in solving some of the issues related to healthcare in the country. The donation primarily focusses on reducing these diseases amongst the most at-risk populations.
- The demonstrates India’s active commitment towards being a partner to the Global South and to promote international collaboration and support when there is a crisis.
