21. Mahindra University, University of Southampton Sign MoU to Strengthen Cross-border Research Collaboration

22. Dibrugarh University signs MoU with Vietnam’s University of Information Technology (UIT)
- In a landmark step toward international academic collaboration, Dibrugarh University has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Faculty of Computer Science, University of Information Technology – VNU-HCM (UIT), Vietnam.
- The agreement was formally signed under the PM–USHA (MERU) initiative, represented by Dr Nomi Baruah, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Dibrugarh University.
- The MoU sets the stage for strengthened cooperation in the field of computer science through student exchange programmes, faculty collaborations, and joint research initiatives aimed at promoting academic innovation and global learning.
23. Vivekanand Business School Signs MoU with INTI International University, Malaysia
- Vivekanand Business School (VBS) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with INTI International University, Malaysia, strengthening its focus on providing structured international academic exposure for students.
- Through this partnership, 25 VBS students have been awarded the International Academic Scholarship, a merit-based fully funded global learning experience at INTI International University. The scholarship covers travel, accommodation, food, and academic fees, ensuring complete financial support for selected students.
- As part of the collaboration, scholars will participate in a three-month academic immersion programme at INTI International University, where they will be exposed to international teaching pedagogy, collaborative academic and research activities, and multicultural classroom interactions.
- The programme is designed to enhance global competency and prepare students for leadership roles in a globally connected professional environment.
24. IK Gujral University signs MoU with Sydney varsity
- In a step aimed at strengthening international academic cooperation and elevating the standards of technical education in the state, IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU), Jalandhar, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Universal Business School Sydney (UBSS), Australia.
- The MoU signing ceremony was held at Punjab Bhawan. The collaboration is aimed at promoting academic exchange, joint research initiatives, faculty and student mobility, and the adoption of global best practices in teaching, learning and research.
- The collaborations with globally reputed institutions such as the Universal Business School, Sydney will significantly enhance the quality of education and research across technical institutions in Punjab.
25. BBAU partners with UK university for dual degree, joint research
- Dr Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) students will soon be able to pursue a dual degree from abroad as the university joined hands with the University of South Wales in Cardiff, United Kingdom, to conduct joint research and joint projects.
- This is an important step towards strengthening international academic collaboration between BBAU and the University of South Wales. BBAU gave its consent for institutional participation under the proposed Jean Monnet EU–India Network (JMEUIN) in collaboration with the University.
- The collaboration will promote international cooperation, interdisciplinary research, academic mobility, curriculum innovation and policy-oriented academic dialogue. BBAU spokesperson Rachna Gangwar said this collaboration will particularly strengthen academic research.
26. DDUGU signs MoU with Malaysia university
- The DDU Gorakhpur University on Sunday signed five-year MoU with SEGi University, Malaysia to strengthen academic cooperation, joint research and cross-border educational initiatives between India and Malaysia.
- Under the agreement, both universities will collaborate on student and faculty exchange programmes, joint research in science, humanities and legal studies, development of specialised curricula, and organisation of international conferences, seminars and workshops.
- Special focus will be given to mentoring postgraduate and doctoral scholars. SEGi University will also act as an academic and research facilitation platform for DDUGU in Malaysia.
- The partnership would provide international exposure to students and faculty, access to global research networks, and new opportunities for innovation, skill development and entrepreneurship.
27. PM Launches Nationwide HPV Vaccination Programme For 14-Year-Old Girls
- On February 28, 2026, PM launched a nationwide HPV vaccination campaign from Ajmer to protect girls aged 14 from cervical cancer by providing a free single-shot Gardasil 4 vaccine at government health facilities across India.
- The programme aims to vaccinate around 1.15 crore girls annually, with sessions conducted at public health centres under medical supervision, ensuring safety through proper cold-chain storage and monitoring.
- HPV is a common infection linked to nearly 80% of cervical cancer cases, and vaccinating girls at age 14 provides early protection before exposure, significantly reducing future cancer risk.
28. Assam Government signs MoU with Airports Authority of India for pre-feasibility study of five greenfield airports
- On February 28, 2026, the Assam government signed an MoU with the Airports Authority of India (AAI) in Guwahati, Assam, for a pre-feasibility study of five proposed greenfield airports in the state.
- The Assam Government, led by the Chief Minister of Assam, partnered with AAI to conduct the study through technical surveys, land evaluations and stakeholder consultations to assess viability.
- The study covers five locations, Dhubri, North Lakhimpur, Jorhat East, Manas, and Tinsukia, aimed at boosting regional connectivity, tourism and economic growth across Assam.

29. Indian Railways Launches RailParcel Pilot Across Seven Cities With Digital Tracking And Electric Delivery
- On February 27, 2026, Indian Railways launched the RailParcel pilot project across seven cities: Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Rajahmundry, Visakhapatnam, Bengaluru, and Chennai under the South Central Railway (SCR) zone to improve parcel logistics.
- The SCR zone of Indian Railways partnered with AION-Tech Solutions using its ROQIT digital platform for parcel tracking and workflow, and ETO Motors for first- and last-mile electric deliveries, integrating digital and rail networks.
- RailParcel offers end-to-end booking, real-time tracking, doorstep pickup/delivery and digital workflows, aiming to modernize rail parcel services, enhance efficiency, and support sustainable multimodal logistics.
30. Indian Railway awards KAVACH 4.0 order to Progota India Private Ltd worth Rs 53.73 crore
- On February 28, 2026, Indian Railways awarded a ₹53.73 crore contract for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of on-board KAVACH 4.0 equipment through Progota India Private Ltd, in India’s domestic railway safety technology sector
- The order was secured by Concord Control Systems Limited via its associate Progota India Private Ltd, and it covers on-board KAVACH 4.0 equipment execution within 12 months, enhancing train safety deployment
- KAVACH 4.0 is India’s indigenous automatic train protection system aimed at preventing collisions; the contract strengthens domestic safety tech infrastructure and supports broader nationwide rollout of advanced rail protection.
