23961. Inside D2C grocery delivery startup Fraazo’s plans for geographical expansion
- Atul Kumar, CEO and Co-founder, Fraazo, said the startup will utilise the funds for geographical expansion across cities.
- The startup aims to expand its presence in 15 Tier I and metro cities in the next 12-18 months. It will also use the capital raised for product development and the strengthening of supply chains. In terms of categorical expansion, the startup plans to add more categories to its basket.
- In the next 12-18 months, Fraazo is targeting a 20x growth. It aims to achieve almost 10 million orders a month as well. The startup is growing by almost 50 percent monthly and is on track to achieve its ambitious growth targets.

- The Indian textile and apparel industry is estimated to be worth $75 billion in the current year, according to a report by Wazir Advisors. Additionally, the market fell by 30 percent from $ 106 billion in 2019-20 and is expected to recover and grow at a CAGR of 10 percent to reach $ 190 billion by 2025-26.
- Noida-based Lal10 was founded in 2017 by Maneet Gohil, Sanchit Govil, and Albin Jose. It is an online wholesale marketplace for rural micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in India. From apparel, handbags, to lampshades, it has a total of 30,000 stock-keeping units (SKUs).

- Aadit Palicha and Kaivalya Vohra the duo found an opportunity in the hyperlocal grocery delivery market and launched Zepto (formerly known as Kiranakart)
- Zepto promises grocery delivery in 10 minutes (up to 90 percent of orders) through a network of dark stores and micro warehouses. Wanting to provide a frictionless delivery experience, Aadit says the startup’s median delivery time is 8 mins 47 seconds.
- The Mumbai-based startup operates on a hub-and-spoke model through a network of dark stores or retail distribution centres, catering exclusively to online shopping.
23964. TVS in talks to raise up to $500 million for EV subsidiary
- TVS Motor, India's third largest two-wheeler maker, is in talks with a clutch of global private equity investors to raise $300-500 million (Rs 2,220-3,700 crore) for its electric vehicle subsidiary at a valuation of $3.5-4 billion,
- TVS will be having a monthly EV manufacturing capacity of 10,000 units from January 2022, from the 650 per month currently, and it could be expanded further subsequently.
- TVS has already announced an investment of Rs 1,000 crore on the EV business. It is readying a portfolio of two- and three-wheelers in the range of 5-25kW, all of which will be in the market within the next two years.

- Greaves Electric Mobility, the e-mobility arm of Greaves Cotton Limited. Greaves Cotton Limited is a diversified engineering group involved in Engines, Retail, Electric Mobility, Finance and Technology services.
- Greaves mobility business comprises Ampere Electric, which caters to two-wheeler (e-scooters) and three-wheeler (e-rickshaw, e-auto and e-loader) segments. Within e-three wheelers, the company has a presence in e-rickshaws under the ELE brand and e-autos under the MLR brand.
- it had sold 5,000 units. For Q2 FY22 (July to September 2021), it recorded 13,280 unit sales as compared to 7,178 units in Q2 FY21.

23968. PM Modi to Inaugurate India's 1st World-Class Railway Station in Habibganj on Nov 15
- The state-of-the-art railway station has been revamped in the Public-private partnership (PPP) mode at the cost of Rs 450 crore. The Habibganj railway station is the first to have been prepared under private and public sector partnerships in the country.
- Ticket counters of the station have also been modernised and food courts have been set up. The station also has air-conditioned waiting rooms, retiring rooms, dormitories and a VIP lounge have been added as well.
- Habibganj railway station has been developed on the model of Germany’s Heidelberg railway station. The railway station has giant entertainment screens, while close to 700 passengers can wait for their trains at the premises.
23969. Indian Railways to set up coach factory on Bengal-Assam border
- The Indian Railways has decided to set up a rail coach factory on the Bengal-Assam border at a location that falls under the Alipurduar division of the Northeast Frontier Railway(NFR).
- This would be the first-of-its-kind factory in east and northeast India and is expected to generate considerable employment for residents of north Bengal and the neighbouring state of Assam. the factory was likely to come up somewhere in Kokrajhar, a district in Assam that shares borders with Bengal.
- The project is a part of the rail ministry’s ambitious target to start 100 per cent indigenous manufacturing of rail coaches by 2022.
23970. India’s engineering goods exports registered a growth of 52.4% during the month of June 2021
- Merchandise exports in June 2021 were USD 32.50 Billion, as compared to USD 21.91 Billion in June 2020, exhibiting a positive growth of 48.34 per cent. Indian engineering exports were on their upward journey in June, 2021 following the trend of the last two months.
- Engineering exports which stood at USD 6274.9 Million in June, 2019 and USD 5841.6 in June 2020 rose to USD 8903.5 million in June 2021.
- Cumulative engineering exports during April-June 2021-22 were to the tune of USD 24772.6 million, witnessing a massive growth of 82% vis-a-vis April-June 2020-21, and growth of 24.8% vis-a-vis April-June 2019-20.
