- In a move to deepen international academic cooperation, IIT Kanpur and Vietnam National University (VNU) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance research collaboration and academic exchange.
- Signed on September 18, 2025, the partnership represents a new phase in India–Vietnam educational ties, focusing heavily on cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), smart cities, and drone innovation.
- This Indo-Vietnam partnership is expected to foster reciprocal knowledge exchange, encourage joint research initiatives, and support capacity-building among students, faculty, and researchers at both institutions.
- The collaboration aligns with India’s growing educational diplomacy in Southeast Asia and supports its Act East Policy. For Vietnam, partnering with an IIT like Kanpur enhances access to advanced technical expertise and AI research leadership.

- चौधरी चरण सिंह विश्वविद्यालय और वियतनाम के यूनिवर्सिटी आफ इकोनोमिक्स एंड फाइनेंस व ह्यूटेक यूनिवर्सिटी आफ टेक्नोलोजी हो ची मिन्ह सिटी के बीच समझौता ज्ञापनों पर हस्ताक्षर हुआ है।
- राजभवन में राज्यपाल आनंदी बेन पटेल की अध्यक्षता में हुए इस एमओयू के अंतर्गत विश्वविद्यालय के अध्यापकों, शोधकर्ताओं व विद्यार्थियों के लिए विनिमय कार्यक्रम (एक्सचेंज प्रोग्राम), संयुक्त शोध गतिविधियां, स्थानीय व वैश्विक मांग के अनुसार पाठ्यक्रम विकास, डुएल डिग्री, ज्वाइंट डिग्री, शैक्षणिक सामग्री प्रकाशन, विविध सेमिनार व अकादमिक बैठकों में सहभागिता और शार्ट टर्म अकादमिक कार्यक्रमों में सहयोग के रास्ते खुलेंगे।
- यह एमओयू भारत-वियतनाम मैत्री संबंधों को सुदृढ़ करने के साथ-साथ छात्रों, शिक्षकों और शोधकर्ताओं को वैश्विक अवसरों से जोड़ने में भी सहायक सिद्ध होगा। सीसीएसयू के साथ ही प्रदेश के नौ विश्वविद्यालयों ने वियतनाम के विश्वविद्यालयों के साथ समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं।

- Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Western Sydney University (WSU) in Hyderabad, after six months of discussions.
- A WSU delegation led by Prof Ian Anderson met PJTSAU vice-chancellor Prof Aldas Janaiah and other officials to finalise the collaboration. The MoU covers joint initiatives in agricultural education and research, including a dual BSc agriculture programme under which students will study three years at PJTSAU and one year at WSU.
- Graduates will receive a BSc agriculture degree from PJTSAU and a BSc in agricultural food science from WSU.
- The partnership also opens up avenues for postgraduate and PhD studies at WSU, enabling 25 to 30 students from Telangana to study in Australia annually. Another agreement will introduce AI-based agricultural technologies to benefit Telangana farmers.

- Vivekanand Business School (VBS) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with INTI International University, Malaysia, strengthening its focus on providing structured international academic exposure for students.
- Through this partnership, 25 VBS students have been awarded the International Academic Scholarship, a merit-based fully funded global learning experience at INTI International University. The scholarship covers travel, accommodation, food, and academic fees, ensuring complete financial support for selected students.

- Dr Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) students will soon be able to pursue a dual degree from abroad as the university joined hands with the University of South Wales in Cardiff, United Kingdom, to conduct joint research and joint projects.
- This is an important step towards strengthening international academic collaboration between BBAU and the University of South Wales. BBAU gave its consent for institutional participation under the proposed Jean Monnet EU–India Network (JMEUIN) in collaboration with the University.
- The collaboration will promote international cooperation, interdisciplinary research, academic mobility, curriculum innovation and policy-oriented academic dialogue. BBAU spokesperson Rachna Gangwar said this collaboration will particularly strengthen academic research.

- The DDU Gorakhpur University on Sunday signed five-year MoU with SEGi University, Malaysia to strengthen academic cooperation, joint research and cross-border educational initiatives between India and Malaysia.
- Under the agreement, both universities will collaborate on student and faculty exchange programmes, joint research in science, humanities and legal studies, development of specialised curricula, and organisation of international conferences, seminars and workshops.
- Special focus will be given to mentoring postgraduate and doctoral scholars. SEGi University will also act as an academic and research facilitation platform for DDUGU in Malaysia.
- The partnership would provide international exposure to students and faculty, access to global research networks, and new opportunities for innovation, skill development and entrepreneurship.
40. PM Launches Nationwide HPV Vaccination Programme For 14-Year-Old Girls

- On February 28, 2026, PM launched a nationwide HPV vaccination campaign from Ajmer to protect girls aged 14 from cervical cancer by providing a free single-shot Gardasil 4 vaccine at government health facilities across India.
- The programme aims to vaccinate around 1.15 crore girls annually, with sessions conducted at public health centres under medical supervision, ensuring safety through proper cold-chain storage and monitoring.
- HPV is a common infection linked to nearly 80% of cervical cancer cases, and vaccinating girls at age 14 provides early protection before exposure, significantly reducing future cancer risk.
