23781. जेनेरिक आधार के CEO अर्जुन देशपांडे की पहल, सस्ती दरों पर दवाओं को उपलब्ध करने के लिए साल के पहले ही दिन देशभर में खोली 22 फ्रेंचाइजी
- साल 2022 भारत के सबसे युवा उद्यमी अर्जुन देशपांडे ने इस अभिनव पहल की शुरुआत की है। 16 साल की छोटी सी उम्र में अपने करियर की शुरुआत की थी।
- आने वाले दिनों जेनेरिक आधार फार्मा जगत में तेजी से अपने पंख फैला रहा है। यह न्यू में पूर्ण 22 फ्रेंचाइजी का उद्घाटन करके एक और रिकॉर्ड बना रहा है। साल 2022 भारत के सबसे युवा उद्यमी अर्जुन देशपांडे ने इस अभिनव पहल की शुरुआत की है।
- अर्जुन देशपांडे न केवल इस नेक मिशन के लिए काम कर रहे हैं बल्कि निर्माण भी कर रहे हैं। जैसा कि उनका मानना है कि युवा उद्यमी भारतीय पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र को बदल सकता है, वह खुद को शुरू करने के अवसरों का एक बंडल दे रहा है। वह हर दिन करीब 4-5 रिटेल स्टोर का उद्घाटन कर रहा है लेकिन एक दिन में ये 22 फ्रेंचाइजी हैं। एक दिन में 22 से ज्यादा उद्यमियों के लिए दरवाजे खोलेंगे और देंगे 220 रोजगार अवसर देंगे।
23782. India’s wheat exports surpasses $ 872 million, rises by 527%
- In the first seven months (April-October) of the current financial year (2021-22), India’s wheat exports in terms of volume rose by more than 527 per cent to 3.2 Million Tonne (MT) from 0.51 MT reported during the April-October period of 2020-21. In terms of value, India’s wheat exports in the current fiscal (April – October) rose by 546 per cent to $ 872 million from $ 135 million reported during the same period of the previous fiscal.
- India’s wheat exports are expected to achieve an all-time record high as it has already surpassed the shipment of 2.09 MT achieved during 2020-21.
- India accounts for even less than one per cent of world wheat export. However, its share has increased from 0.14 per cent in 2016 to 0.54 per cent in 2020. India is the second-largest producer of wheat with a share of around 13.53 per cent of world total production. India produces around 107.59 MT of wheat annually while a major chunk of it goes towards domestic consumption.

23783. Covishield sent to Mauritius, Seychelles, India attains VaccineMaitri commitment
- The spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs Anurag Srivastava posted pictures of SII's Covidshiled vaccines being dispatched to Mauritius and Seychelles
- With Serum India Institute's Covishield consignments dispatched to Mauritius, Seychelles, India fulfills its Vaccine Maitri commitment under which the country promised to ship Covid 19 vaccines to six of its neighbors as a goodwill gesture.
- A consignment of 50,000 doses of the Covishield vaccine is scheduled to reach Seychelles, which is among the four Indian Ocean countries to receive the Covishield vaccine.

23784. Myanmar receives first batch of COVID-19 vaccines from India
- Myanmar was among the countries next in line to get free consignments as India moved before China which has also pledged to supply vaccines to its neighbour
- Myanmar is struggling with a second wave of Covid-19, recording more than 136,000 cases and 3,000 deaths
- Myanmar received 1.5 million doses of a COVID-19 vaccine supplied by India to inoculate 750,000 people, the first vaccine batch delivered to the Southeast Asian country as it fights one of the worst COVID-19 outbreaks in the region.
23785. After one million doses, Nepal urges India for continued COVID-19 vaccines supply
- One million doses of Oxford/Astrazenca vaccine 'Covishield' produced by the Serum Institute of India landed in Nepali capital Kathmandu on Thursday afternoon.
- Nepal's Minister of Health and Population, Hridayesh Tripathi, on Thursday, announced the commencement of the vaccination drive from next week and requested India for continued support to deliver the adequate number of vaccines to inoculate 72 percent of the nearly 30 million population of Nepal.

23786. Brazil among 92 other countries seeking cheaper made-in-India COVID-19 vaccines
- Highly placed sources said that scores of countries are approaching India, as the word spreads that Indian vaccines are showing negligible side-effects, since the immunization drive in the country began on.
- India is sending its domestically developed vaccines to several neighbouring countries including Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar.
- Ninety-two countries have approached India for Covid-19 vaccines, bolstering New Delhis credentials as the vaccine hub of the world.

- Seven countries – Bhutan, the Maldives, Bangladesh, Nepal, Seychelles, Myanmar and Mauritius – are part of India’s initial rollout of vaccines as grant assistance. There are also plans to supply doses to Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.

- Two Indian flights carried two million doses of Covishield to Dhaka and one million doses to Kathmandu, and people familiar with developments said on condition of anonymity that supplies would be sent to Seychelles (50,000 doses), Mauritius (100,000 doses) and Myanmar (1.5 million doses).
23789. India to export COVID-19 vaccines to Nepal, Bangladesh
- MEA The countries which will receive the vaccine supply in the first phase include Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar and Seychelles. India will start exporting COVID-19 vaccines to many third world countries
- The Foreign Ministry made the decision following requests from neighbouring and key partner countries from South-East Asia and other continents.
- The Government informed that the shipments would start on January 20, and it plans to ship millions of doses to these countries in the coming week.
