23251. From Gaganyaan to Chandrayaan-3 space missions, India aims to fly high in 2022
- India's premier space agency will be looking for better days in 2022 as it plans to speed up several missions that have been delayed due to successive lockdowns in 2021.
- India's maiden mission to study the Sun, Aditya L1 will be launched in 2022 . CHANDRAYAAN-3 TO CARRY FORWARD MOON MISSION LEGACY, The Chandrayaan-3 takes cues from the first Chandrayaan mission launched in October 2008 that made major discoveries including finding evidence of water on the lunar surface.
- Isro is developing the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV). The space agency will conduct the maiden launch in the first quarter of 2022. The SSLV will provide a payload capability of 500 kilograms to a 500-kilometre planar orbit.
23252. IIT Kanpur creates bio-bubble for convocation tomorrow. PM Modi to attend the event
- Students, faculties and staff at IIT Kanpur are set to undergo a massive health safety protocol as the institute has created a bio-bubble to ward off COVID contagion during the convocation on December 28
- Bio-bubble is a concept developed recently in the field of sports, especially in cricket, where a bio-secure environment is created to minimise contamination risks.
- This will be the first time in India where a convocation will be conducted inside the bio-bubble, the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, claimed.
23253. Consignment of Made-in-India COVID-19 vaccines arrives in Yemen
- A flight carrying a consignment of Made-in-India COVID-19 vaccines landed in Yemen under the 'Vaccine Maitri' initiative, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar informed.
- "Arrival in Aden. Made in India vaccines land in Yemen. #VaccineMaitri," Jaishankar wrote in a tweet.
- Under the 'Vaccine Maitri' initiative, India has provided COVID-19 vaccines to over 70 countries.

23254. India provides 25,000 'Made-in-India' Covid vaccine doses to Palestine
- India has supplied a consignment of 25,000 doses of 'Made in India' coronavirus vaccines to Palestine.
- "Reaching Ramallah. Made in India vaccines arrive in Palestine," External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar wrote on Twitter. According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), 25,000 vaccines have been given to Palestine.
- According to the Ministry of External Affairs, more than 640.66 lakh doses of vaccines have been provided by India to other countries so far.
23255. Narendra Modi to launch hydel projects in Himachal Pradesh today: Where does the hilly state stand on hydropower
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Mandi in Himachal Pradesh on 27 dec 2020, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation for hydropower projects worth more than Rs 11,000 crore.
- Hydropower is said to be a mature technology in India, with a long history dating back to 1897. As of 31 March 2020, India's installed utility-scale hydroelectric capacity was 46,000 MW, or 12.3 percent of its total utility power generation capacity.
- Himachal Pradesh is extremely rich in its hydroelectricity resources. The state has about 25 percent of the national potential. About 27,436 MW of hydroelectric power can be generated in the state by the construction of various hydroelectric projects on the five perennial river basins.
23256. India delivers food aid to Mozambique under SAGAR Mission
- India’s large amphibious warship INS Kesari has delivered 500 metric tons of food aid, two fast interceptor craft and self-defence military equipment to Mozambique, in the eighth such deployment to 15 `friendly foreign countries’ under Mission SAGAR
- The Mission SAGAR deployments to India’s extended maritime neighbourhood are being conducted in close coordination with the ministry of external affairs and other agencies of the Indian government.
- INS Kesari had undertaken similar missions in May–June 2020 to provide humanitarian and medical assistance to Maldives, Mauritius, Seychelles, Madagascar and Comoros, including deployments of the Navy’s medical assistance teams in multiple locations.

- Haryana's Nitesh Kumar doubled his gold tally as the 4th Para-Badminton National Championship came to an end
- The pair defeated World No 1 Pramod Bhagat and Manoj Sarkar in straight sets. The final score read 21-19, 21-11. IN SU5 Ruthick defeated Chirag in a tightly fought match.World No 1 SL3 Para-Badminton player Parul Parmar from Gujarat also secured gold while Mandeep Kaur from Uttarakhand won Silver and Mansi won bronze.

- रिक्शे में हैंडल, एक्सीलेटर और ब्रेक भी है। अब इस शख्स का वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल हो रहा है। महिंद्रा ग्रुप के चेयरमैन आनंद महिंद्रा ने भी इसका वीडियो शेयर किया है। आनंद ने इस शख्स को लास्ट माइल डिलीवरी के लिए बिजनेस एसोसिएट का जॉब भी ऑफर किया है।
- हाथ नहीं होने के बाद भी वो इस गाड़ी को 5 सालों से चला रहा है। उसके घर में पत्नी के अलावा 2 छोटे बच्चे भी हैं। पिताजी बूढ़े हो चुके हैं। परिवार की देखभाल और खर्च के लिए वो इस गाड़ी को चलाता है।

- The company has acquired 100 per cent equity share capital of Meru Mobility Tech Private Limited, V-Link Fleet Solutions Private Limited and V-Link Automotive Services Private Limited from MTSPL
- Third-party logistics solution provider Mahindra Logistics Ltd (MLL) has announced its acquisition of Meru today.
- Mahindra Logistics said he acquisition is a strategic move to consolidate and expand its business in the enterprise mobility space.

23260. Dominican Republic Vice President Thanks PM Modi, EAM For Providing COVID-19 VaccinesVKits
- Vice President of the Dominican Republic and head of Health Cabinet, Raquel Pena, on Tuesday, thanked India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing 50,000 'Made in India’ COVID-19 vaccines. Dominican Vice President also lauded Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, in a video message, after the latter dispatched coronavirus vaccine shipment to the Caribbean nation.
- In her video, after the consignment of covid vials from India arrived, Pena affirmed that the vaccine donated by India will help the country to immunize the health workers and elderly.
- India has exported the Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine manufactured by the Serum Institute of India (SII) and Bharat Biotech's indigenous vaccine to more than 29 countries and will be providing vaccine doses to 49 more countries in the coming days.
