22971. PM Gati Shakti to unlock trade potential of Northeast India
- As a result of the Gati Shakti, the delayed approach to project implementation in Northeast India is expected to undergo a tectonic shift. Infrastructure development projects in Northeast India will experience coordinated planning and timely implementation.
- This plan will improve the existing supply chains and for exploring new value chains, including through electronic commerce and the application of new technologies such as blockchain, both for internal and external trade.
- The Northeast region will be able to optimally utilise its resources and capacity for trade in several agricultural and horticultural products in particular in which it has significant marketable surplus. For a better regional connectivity, projects to connect Samdrup-Jongkhar in Bhutan and Guwahati, and the trilateral highway between India, Myanmar and Thailand are also under implementation.

22972. Rise in Exports benfitting apple growers from states like Jammu & Kashmir
- India's apple exports have jumped 82 per cent since 2014, while fruit imports increased marginally by 3.8 per cent during the same time, according to the commerce ministry data.
- Apple exports during April-November this fiscal stood at USD 12.25 million, indicating healthy growth over the years. Benefitting a lot of small big farmers from Jammu & Kashmir region.

22973. UAE’s Investment In Jammu & Kashmir, A Big Victory For India & Setback For Pakistan.
- UAE emerging as a major partner in Jammu and Kashmir’s development. In the past few months, the Union Territory has signed a slew of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Abu Dhabi to build strong business relations.
- In December last year, the J&K administration signed an MoU with University College Birmingham (UCB) Dubai to explore potential progression opportunities through institutional partnerships with vocational colleges and universities in Kashmir.
- The UAE making an entry into Jammu and Kashmir for the first time in the past 70 years is also a recognition of New Delhi’s policy to scrap Article 370 that gave special powers to the erstwhile state. Incidentally, the UAE was one of the first countries that had responded favorably to India’s decision to scrap Article 370 of the Constitution in 2019.
22974. Smart Anganwadis’ to become reality in Jammu soon
- The JSCL ( Jammu Smart City Limited) is converting 14 buildings in Jammu into Smart Anganwadi Centers under Smart City Mission programme of Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.
- Upgradation of Anganwadi Centers will provide better early childhood care and make the facility more child-friendly to nurture the mental and physical development of children.
- Chief Executive Officer, JSCL informed that several items ranging from furniture to stationery items like Chair & Tables for kids as well as for visitors, pre-school kits, white boards, stationary items, Utensils, storage bins, hygiene kits, Almirah, racks and wall clocks were procured to convert conventional buildings of anganwadis into structures with better amenities. The Aim of this project is to improve the quality of life of people by enabling local development and harnessing technology to create smart outcomes for citizens.
22975. 30-bed free oxygen shelter set up in Bhubaneswar
- A few organisations in Bhubaneswar, Odisha have joined hands and established a 30- bed ‘oxygen-shelter’, for patients, which will be free of cost, amid the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic.
- The facility has been established at Trishna Banquet in the city by and organisation named Smile Please, Sparsh Hospital, and Odisha Society of America’s – Health and Wellness group (OSA- HWG) in a collaborative effort.

22976. मधुबनीः ‘टीका एक्सप्रेस’ से 15 दिनों में हर वार्डों में दी जाएगी वैक्सीन, देखें कहां-कहां लगेगा कैंप
- मधुबनीः जिलाधिकारी अमित कुमार ने कोविड-19 ‘टीका एक्सप्रेस’ का सूरी हाई स्कूल परिसर से गुरुवार को उद्घाटन किया. मधुबनी के शहरी क्षेत्र में रहने वाले 45 वर्ष और उससे अधिक उम्र के लोगों के इसके माध्यम से वैक्सीन दी जाएगी. लोगों को उनके घर के पास में ही टीका दिया जाएगा.
- 30 वार्ड में वैन से घूम-घूम कर टीकाकरण किया जाएगा. ‘टीका एक्सप्रेस’ के जरिए मधुबनी में अगले 15 दिनों में संपूर्ण टीकाकरण के लक्ष्य को पूरा करना है, जिसके लिए हर दिन दो वार्ड में एक-एक वैन जाएगा. प्रत्येक ‘टीका एक्सप्रेस’ से हर दिन 200 लाभार्थियों के टीकाकरण का लक्ष्य निर्धारित किया गया है.

22977. तीसरी लहर की तैयारी, रिकॉर्ड 16 दिनों में DRDO ने जम्मू में बनाया 500 बेड का कोविड अस्पताल
- PM Cares Fund के तहत DRDO के द्वारा जम्मू के भगवती नगर में बनाया गया कोविड अस्पताल पूरी तरह से ऑपेरशनल हो गया है. इस अस्पताल में 125 आईसीयू बेड हैं. सारे आइसीयू बेड में वेंटिलेटर लगे हुए हैं
- अस्पताल में 24 घंटे डॉक्टर और पैरा मेडिकल स्टाफ की सुविधा जम्मू-कश्मीर प्रशासन मुहैया करवा रही है.
- अस्पताल में 2×20 KL लिक्विड मेडिकल ऑक्सिजन स्टोरेज टैंक लगाए गए है ताकि सभी बेड को पर्याप्त मात्रा में ऑक्सिजन मिल सके. इसके अलावा अस्पताल में 50,000 लीटर शुद्ध पेयजल का रोजाना सप्लाई का इंतजाम किया गया है.
22978. Battling COVID-19: DRDO to Share 2-DG Formula With Private Companies For Mass Production
- The development of the miracle Covid drug 2DG by the INMAS lab of DRDO is another milestone achievement in treatment of Covid patients.
- The drug formula will be shared by DRDO with more private companies so that mass production can be done.
- As of now, 10 to 12 thousand doses of 2DG are being produced each day and by the end of this month, the production would be in lakhs.
22979. रेलवे ने देशभर में पंद्रह राज्यों को 27 हजार छह सौ टन तरल चिकित्सा ऑक्सीजन की आपूर्ति का रिकॉर्ड बनाया
- आक्सीजन एक्सप्रेस ने अपना सफर 45 दिन पहले 24 अप्रैल को महाराष्ट्र में ऑक्सीजन की आपूर्ति के साथ शुरू किया था।
- रेल मंत्रालय ने कहा है कि विभिन्न राज्यों को चिकित्सा ऑक्सीजन की आपूर्ति से राहत पहुंचाने की यात्रा निरंतर जारी है। अभी तक तीन सौ 92 ऑक्सीजन एक्सप्रेस अपनी यात्राएं पूरी कर चुकी हैं।
- ऑक्सीजन एक्सप्रेस से उत्तराखंड, कर्नाटक, महाराष्ट्र, मध्यप्रदेश, आंध्रप्रदेश, राजस्थान, तमिलनाडु, हरियाणा, तेलंगाना, पंजाब, केरल, दिल्ली, उत्तरप्रदेश, झारखंड और असम को चिकित्सा ऑक्सीजन की आपूर्ति की जा चुकी है।
22980. Surakshit Hum Surakshit Tum Abhiyaan: LAUNCHED to provide home care support to Covid-19 patients
- Surakshit Hum Surakshit Tum Abhiyaan has been launched by NITI Aayog and Piramal Foundation in 112 districts on Tuesday, June 8.
- The Abhiyaan had been launched to assist district administrations in providing home-care support to Covid-19 patients who are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms.
- The campaign will be led by district magistrates in partnership with over 1,000 local NGOs, which will enlist and train over 1 lakh volunteers to connect with patients through inbound/outbound calls.
