91. India AI Summit draws USD 250 billion infrastructure commitments
- On February 20, 2026, at the India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, over USD 250 billion in AI infrastructure investments and USD 20 billion in VC/deep-tech funding were committed, with more than five lakh visitors attending the event.

92. Tripura: Tribal Welfare Department Allocates ₹27.50 Crore for Rubber Processing in Tribal Areas
- For the 2025–26 fiscal year in Tripura’s tribal regions, ₹27.50 crore was earmarked to establish rubber sheet units, smoking houses, roller machines, and training facilities under the Rubber Processing Scheme.

93. India and Brazil Sign MoU to Strengthen Steel Supply Chain Cooperation

96. Bihar built 1.19 lakh km rural roads, 2,884 bridges in 20 years: RWD minister
- Bihar Assembly on February 18, 2026, the Rural Works Department presented its 2026–27 budget, reporting large-scale rural road and bridge construction to improve connectivity and economic development across the state.

97. Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma inaugurates key bamboo processing units established at the Sairang Horticulture Centre
- Chief Minister Lalduhoma inaugurated key bamboo processing facilities at the Sairang Horticulture Centre, developed under the National Bamboo Mission with a funding of ₹252.826 lakh.
- The newly launched units include a Bamboo Treatment & Seasoning Plant, a Bamboo Depot & Godown, and an Activated Charcoal Unit.
- Bamboo from the seasoning plant can last up to 50 years, significantly enhancing its utility. The Activated Charcoal Unit has the capacity to produce three tonnes of charcoal per day — approximately 900 tonnes annually — using around 670 bamboo culms each day.
- Additionally, about 100 litres of vinegar will be produced daily, with up to 54 litres of refined vinegar extractable after distillation. To support the facility’s operations, three bamboo clusters have been developed at Chhingchhip, Baktawng, and Saiphal villages.

98. PM Inaugurates India’s First Bamboo-Based Ethanol Plant In Assam
- Prime Minister inaugurated India’s first-ever bamboo-based ethanol plant in Assam’s Golaghat district, marking a major push towards clean energy and rural economic upliftment.
