- A few organisations in Bhubaneswar, Odisha have joined hands and established a 30- bed ‘oxygen-shelter’, for patients, which will be free of cost, amid the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic.
- The facility has been established at Trishna Banquet in the city by and organisation named Smile Please, Sparsh Hospital, and Odisha Society of America’s – Health and Wellness group (OSA- HWG) in a collaborative effort.
- one for those who require less oxygen we have oxygen concentrators with a capacity of 4-5 litres per minute and second, for those who require high-pressure oxygen, we have jumbo oxygen cylinders, informed Dr Patjoshi.A Covid recovered patient, Asutosh Mohanty, who was at the facility told ANI that he was discharged 10 days ago but he suffers from respiratory problems and requires oxygen.

- मधुबनीः जिलाधिकारी अमित कुमार ने कोविड-19 ‘टीका एक्सप्रेस’ का सूरी हाई स्कूल परिसर से गुरुवार को उद्घाटन किया. मधुबनी के शहरी क्षेत्र में रहने वाले 45 वर्ष और उससे अधिक उम्र के लोगों के इसके माध्यम से वैक्सीन दी जाएगी. लोगों को उनके घर के पास में ही टीका दिया जाएगा.
- 30 वार्ड में वैन से घूम-घूम कर टीकाकरण किया जाएगा. ‘टीका एक्सप्रेस’ के जरिए मधुबनी में अगले 15 दिनों में संपूर्ण टीकाकरण के लक्ष्य को पूरा करना है, जिसके लिए हर दिन दो वार्ड में एक-एक वैन जाएगा. प्रत्येक ‘टीका एक्सप्रेस’ से हर दिन 200 लाभार्थियों के टीकाकरण का लक्ष्य निर्धारित किया गया है.
- प्रत्येक ‘टीका एक्सप्रेस’ से हर दिन 200 लाभार्थियों को वैक्सीन देने का लक्ष्य किया गया निर्धारित. शहरी क्षेत्रों में कोविड-19 के टीकाकरण में इजाफा लाने के लिए बना माइक्रोप्लान और रूट चार्ट.

- PM Cares Fund के तहत DRDO के द्वारा जम्मू के भगवती नगर में बनाया गया कोविड अस्पताल पूरी तरह से ऑपेरशनल हो गया है. इस अस्पताल में 125 आईसीयू बेड हैं. सारे आइसीयू बेड में वेंटिलेटर लगे हुए हैं
- अस्पताल में 24 घंटे डॉक्टर और पैरा मेडिकल स्टाफ की सुविधा जम्मू-कश्मीर प्रशासन मुहैया करवा रही है.
- अस्पताल में 2×20 KL लिक्विड मेडिकल ऑक्सिजन स्टोरेज टैंक लगाए गए है ताकि सभी बेड को पर्याप्त मात्रा में ऑक्सिजन मिल सके. इसके अलावा अस्पताल में 50,000 लीटर शुद्ध पेयजल का रोजाना सप्लाई का इंतजाम किया गया है.

- The development of the miracle Covid drug 2DG by the INMAS lab of DRDO is another milestone achievement in treatment of Covid patients.
- The drug formula will be shared by DRDO with more private companies so that mass production can be done.
- As of now, 10 to 12 thousand doses of 2DG are being produced each day and by the end of this month, the production would be in lakhs.

- आक्सीजन एक्सप्रेस ने अपना सफर 45 दिन पहले 24 अप्रैल को महाराष्ट्र में ऑक्सीजन की आपूर्ति के साथ शुरू किया था।
- रेल मंत्रालय ने कहा है कि विभिन्न राज्यों को चिकित्सा ऑक्सीजन की आपूर्ति से राहत पहुंचाने की यात्रा निरंतर जारी है। अभी तक तीन सौ 92 ऑक्सीजन एक्सप्रेस अपनी यात्राएं पूरी कर चुकी हैं।

- Surakshit Hum Surakshit Tum Abhiyaan has been launched by NITI Aayog and Piramal Foundation in 112 districts on Tuesday, June 8.
- The Abhiyaan had been launched to assist district administrations in providing home-care support to Covid-19 patients who are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms.
- The campaign will be led by district magistrates in partnership with over 1,000 local NGOs, which will enlist and train over 1 lakh volunteers to connect with patients through inbound/outbound calls.

- An Indian startup has designed developed this affordable portable oxygen concentrator and is now manufacturing it for supply to various hospitals in the country. The oxygen concentrators based on Pressure swing adsorption (PSA) technology in India with an oxygen purity of above 96 per cent at a pressure of 55-75 kpa.
- Walnut Medical Oxygen Concentrator is tested for patient safety, electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and as per International Safety Standards for Oxygen Concentrators. The complete mould design, development of all electronics, moulding, control system, sieve tower, and all related parts and accessories has been done in India.
- It is currently being supplied to various government, defense, military hospitals in India and is also making them available for the general public through its distribution network across India.

- The financial service firm has extended funding to the institute's Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC) for Mission Bharat O2 (MBO2), according to a joint statement.
- The project will support local manufacturers to develop oxygen concentrators through a three-pronged approach -- rapid product development, centralised sourcing, and decentralised manufacturing.
- The project is aiming to deliver 20,000 indigenous, high-quality oxygen concentrators and oxygen plants for India's emergency response to the COVID-19 pandemic. ICICI Securities had joined hands with IIT Kanpur for developing affordable, indigenous ventilators to save lives.

- Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) has contributed Rs 10 cr to the state of Madhya Pradesh to set up 5 oxygen plants in different medical colleges of the state under its CSR.
- NCL also provides assistance of Rs. 1.75 crores to set up an oxygen generating plant at AIIMS, Bhopal
- Previously it had contributed Rs 20 cr as COVID assistance to Madhya Pradesh

- On June 12, during the Department of Science & Technology (DST) Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Discourse Series, Dr C Satish Reddy, Secretary, Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), informed that the agency is setting up a total of 850 oxygen plants in various districts of the country from PM Cares Fund with oxygen generation capacity of 1000 litres per minute at every plant.
- PM Modi announced that PM CARES Fund would be used to provide support to the children who lost their parents due to Covid. The Prime Minister announced that such bereaved children would get a monthly stipend once they turn 18 for the next five years from the PM Cares Fund. Moreover, they will receive a fund of Rs 10 lakh when they turn 23.
- The agency is also concentrating on the development of high-quality technology to cater for the needs of the people at a lower cost to match the international level.
