- Former Nestaway co-founder Deepak Dhar’s talent management startup Repyute is helping companies speed up the background verification process while also keeping a tab on competing offers the candidate might be pursuing and other HR-related services.
- At present, Repute.net is in various stages of deployment with seven Human Resource Management System (HRMS) partners and is adding more. Most of these HRMS are currently piloting the Repute.net feature with their customers, which will be a paid service going ahead.

- The Minister of State for Jal Shakti, Prahlad Singh Patel has told the Rajya Sabha, 44.5 percent of the households in the country have been provided with piped water connection.
- In a written reply, he said 8.55 crore of the total 19.22 crore households have got piped water supply so far.under the Jal Jeevan Mission, it is targeted to provide tap water connections to all the households by 2024.
- Telengana, Haryana, Goa, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Daman & Diu, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli have already provided piped water connections to all the houses.

- Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana accounts has surged to 43 crore 85 lakh with deposit balance of over one lakh 48 thousand crore rupees.
- Minister of State for Finance Dr Bhagwat Kisanrao Karad informed this in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today. He said, as of 25th March last year, the total number of Jan Dhan accounts were around 38 crore.
- the Government is not planning to come up with any scheme to provide monetary benefits in terms of interest on their money for the beneficiaries of Jan Dhan accounts as all saving bank accounts including Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan accounts earn interest on deposits.

- The government has said that three thousand 131 Smart City projects worth 53 thousand 175 crore rupees have been completed.
- Smart Cities Mission was launched in 2015 for the development of 100 cities as Smart Cities. the cities were selected through four rounds of competition from January 2016 to June 2018.
- as of 12 November this year, these Smart Cities have tendered out six thousand 452 projects worth around one lakh 85 thousand crore rupees.

- India has managed to save precious foreign exchange outgo worth Rs 9,580 crore in the last one year thanks to the use of Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) in transport.
- Under the EBP programme, Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) sell 10 per cent ethanol-blended petrol or E10. Indian Oil (IOC), Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL) sold 3,672 crore litres of EBP between 1 December 2020 and 14 November 2021.
- India's current ethanol or alcohol distillation capacity stands at around 722 crore litres per annum which has to be increased to 1,500 crore litres per annum to meet the requirement of 20 per cent EBP Programme, according to Department of Food and Public Distribution (DFPD).

- कोरोना वैक्सीनेशन को बढ़ाने के लिए केंद्र सरकार की ओर से हर घर दस्तक अभियान चलाया जा रहा है। यह अभियान 31 दिसंबर तक चलाने का लक्ष्य है।
- इस लक्ष्य का उद्देश्य कोरोना वैक्सीन की पहली खुराक के लक्ष्य को 100 प्रतिशत पूरा करना है तो वहीं एक खुराक ले चुके लोगों को दूसरी खुराक देना है। अभियान के तहत स्वास्थ्य विभाग के कर्मचारी घर-घर जाकर लोगों को कोरोना वैक्सीन लगाएंगे।
- कोरोना के नए वैरिएंट ओमिक्रॉन के संभावित खतरे को लेकर भारत में अलर्ट जारी कर दिया गया है। प्रभावित देशों से आने वाले यात्रियों की गहन जांच की जा रही है। वहीं केंद्र सरकार के अधिकारियों को राज्यों के साथ मिलकर काम करने के निर्देश जारी किए गए हैं।

- Lok Nayak Hospital will designate one or more separate wards ( as per need) for isolating and treating such patients...It is hereby directed that no COVID-18 patient of the new variant of SARS-CoV-2 will be denied admission on any ground," the order stated.
- As per the order issued by the Health and Family Department of the Delhi government, the decision has been taken following the new guidelines by the Central government for international travellers in the context of the new variant.
- The Omicron variant (B.1.1.529), a new variant of the coronavirus, was first reported in Botswana on November 11, 2021, and appeared on November 14 in South Africa. It has been declared a variant of concern by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

- Umla became the 12th village of Leh that has tap water supply in each of its 25-odd households even in sub-zero temperature under Jal Jeevan Mission.
- A villager said, "Earlier during winters, we had no option but to fetch water from streams by breaking ice layer. Now, we have heard that administered has dug up almost 8 feet to extract water. We have heard that the deeper we go under the ground, the water remains warmer."
- Another villager said, "It was very difficult during winter. Earlier, during winters, the snow would be around 4 feet. All the water taps in the village would be covered with snow, so we had to go to streams to fetch water." (ANI)

- The new internet link of 10 GBPS between India and Bangladesh has been commissioned successfully. This commissioning would boost-up the internet and technology sector impressively along Tripura and other North eastern states of India
- The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) had placed an order to Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited (BSCCL) for provisioning of one 10GB internet gateway link from Cox-Bazar (Bangladesh) to Akhaura (India) on a lease of three years.
- The technical observation, monitoring and testing was done in accordance with the criteria mentioned in the Agreement dated September 7 last between BSNL and BSCCL and also as per the pre-decided terms and conditions.
