- First consignment of 50 lakh doses of Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine purchased by Bangladesh from the Serum Institute of India Pvt Limited will arrive on Monday, health minister Zahid Maleque said Sunday.
- ‘India has already provided us 2 million doses. Five million doses will come as per our contract. The rest of the 25 million doses will come in phases,’ he told the media at the Secretariat.
- India provided 2 million doses of Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine as ‘gift’ to Bangladesh.

- India has been sending out the vaccination developed by Oxford-AstraZeneca and is manufactured on a large scale by Serum Institute of India.
- On January 20 this year, India started handing out free vaccine doses to Nepal, Bangladesh, Maldives and Bhutan and in just three days, more than 3.2 million doses have been sent to these four countries.
- Donating more vaccine vials to Seychelles, Mauritius, Myanmar and agreements with Afghanistan and Sri Lanka are also in place.

- In a letter addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Barbados PM has asked access to 200,000 doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine being manufactured in India.
- "We are in urgent need of your assistance and support at this very difficult time. Barbados is very much in need of access to vaccines to provide the necessary immunization coverage for a large segment of our population of 287,000," the letter said.
- Large consignments of Covishield vaccine doses were flown in special Indian aircraft to Seychelles, Mauritius and Myanmar on Friday. Contractual supplies are also being undertaken to Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Morocco, Bangladesh and Myanmar.

- राजकोट के पास बसे एक छोटे से गांव मजेठी में रहने वाले जगमलभाई ने अपने खुद के खर्च से एक सुंदर सा Children’s park तैयार किया है। सालों पहले उन्होंने मात्र दो पौधे लगाने से शुरुआत की थी, वहीं आज यहां 5000 पेड़-पौधे लगे हैं जिसमें से ज्यादातर पेड़ फलदार हैं।
- राजकोट जिला स्थित उपलेटा तालुका के मजेठी गांव में रहने वाले जगमलभाई डांगर की। जगमलभाई सालों से पर्यावरण के क्षेत्र में काम कर रहे हैं। वह ‘वेस्ट को बेस्ट’ में बदलने, गाय आधारित जैविक खेती और बागवानी जैसे कामों में भी माहिर हैं।
- उन्होंने अपने खेत के पास दो-तीन पेड़ लगाए थे। इसके बाद तो, उन्होंने पीछे मुड़कर नहीं देखा। पिछले 18 साल से वह लगातार पौधारोपण कर रहे हैं। उनकी मेहनत का ही परिणाम है कि आज उनके खेत में पांच से छह हजार पेड़ लगे हुए हैं। जिसमें करीब 200 पेड़ 20 से 25 फीट की ऊंचाई तक पहुंच गए हैं। ये सभी सौराष्ट्र के आसपास प्राकृतिक रूप से उगने वाले पेड़ हैं, जिनमें आम, सेतुर, शीशम, आवंला शामिल हैं। इसके अलावा, उन्होंने विशेष रूप से, इलाके में विलुप्त हो चुके वनस्पतियों को उगाने पर बहुत जोर दिया है।

- जिन्होंने एक या दो नहीं बल्कि 300 आविष्कार किए हैं। ये सारे ही आविष्कार एक मध्यम वर्गीय आदमी की समस्याओं और जरूरतों को ध्यान में रखकर किए गए हैं।
- जूनागढ़ (गुजरात) के रहने वाले कनुभाई करकर की। कनुभाई वन विभाग में ग्रेड वन ऑफिसर हैं। वह एक सरल स्वभाव वाले व्यक्ति हैं। जितने वह सीधे हैं, उनका काम और दिमाग उतना ही अद्भुत है। उनके मन में हमेशा एक ही विचार रहता है कि कैसे किसी काम को और आसान बनाया जाए।
- 300 से अधिक इनोवेशन कर चुके कनुभाई अब तक लगभग 40 रिसर्च पेपर भी लिख चुके हैं। उनका खुद का यूट्यूब चैनल भी है, जहां वह अपने इनोवेशन के बारे में बात करते हैं। कनुभाई ने वन विभाग में अलग-अलग पदों पर बेहतर प्रदर्शन किया है। 2011 में उन्होंने जीपीएससी परीक्षा पास की और फिलहाल वन विभाग के ग्रेड वन अधिकारी के रूप में उम्दा काम कर रहे हैं।

- Dr Golam Ahmed Kibria was only an intern at the Burdwan Medical College when the country shut down for the second time due to COVID-19. So he took it upon himself to give free medical healthcare to people in rural and remote parts of West Bengal through his NGO Prayas
- Born to a rural medical practitioner and an ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist) worker, Dr Golam Ahmed Kibria was privy to the pain and ordeal that weaker economic sections go through to access healthcare facilities. Since his childhood, he had watched his parents dedicate all their services to bridge this gap.
- Today, his efforts have benefitted thousands — from identifying babies with congenital and neurological disorders to diagnosing an elderly woman who was unable to move due to severe orthopaedic disease, he has touched many lives for the better.
