1241. Sunam Singh railway station to be named after martyr Udham Singh
- On December 16, 2016, the Punjab government officially notified the renaming of Sunam railway station as Sunam Udham Singh Wala, after receiving approval from the Union home ministry on December 8.
- The move honors Shaheed Udham Singh, born in Sunam on December 26, 1899, who assassinated Michael O’Dwyer in London in 1940 to avenge the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. He was executed the same year.

1242. Amit Shah inaugurates ₹322-crore projects in Assam, opens Northeast’s 2nd Cyber Forensic Lab

1243. India becomes World’s 3rd-Largest Mobile Exporter at $20.5 Billion

1248. India, Japan sign MoC to strengthen cooperation in critical minerals supply chains

1249. India set to cross $10 billion in mobile exports in FY23

1250. Habibganj Railway Station Renamed After Gond Queen Rani Kamlapati, Says MP CM
