- On September 18, 2025, Serentica Renewables signed a landmark agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for a 100 MW clean energy project, marking India’s first-ever “load-following” Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
- The PPA, designed with SECI and state DISCOMs, commits Serentica to deliver at least 80% of the hourly electricity demand each month. Supply obligations will range from 17 MW during low demand to 100 MW during peak hours, using a mix of wind, solar, and battery storage.
- The project is expected to generate 400 GWh annually. Serentica CEO Akshay Hiranandani said the load-following PPA showcases innovation in renewable contracting, supporting decarbonization while strengthening grid stability.

- On September 18, 2025, Odisha-based startup Coratia Technologies, incubated at NIT Rourkela, signed a ₹66 crore contract with the Indian Navy for the large-scale integration of India-developed Underwater Remotely Operated Vehicles (UWROVs).
- The deal, signed in the presence of senior Navy officials, involves supplying and maintaining underwater robots Jalasimha and Jaladuta, plus the autonomous surface vehicle Navya. Equipped with AI, these systems support sonar mapping and real-time analytics.
- Aligned with Make in India, the cost-effective UWROVs are already used by SAIL, IOCL, and TATA Steel. Coratia recently raised ₹17.4 crore in Pre-Series A funding. The global underwater robotics market is forecast to hit $9.53 billion by 2030.

- On September 18, 2025, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) approved an additional INR 140 crore for the National Bioenergy Programme Phase-I, raising its total outlay to INR 998 crore for FY 2021–22 to 2025–26 across India.
- The MNRE Bio-Energy Division will distribute funds under three sub schemes Waste to Energy, Biomass, and Biogas. INR 37.5 crore, 52.5 crore, and 50 crore respectively have been allocated, with flexible fund use to meet project requirements nationwide.
- Revised guidelines simplify inspection norms for biomass units, linking subsidies to a 10-hour performance window at 80% capacity. Waste-to-Energy support is released in two stages, tying CFA to plant operations, ensuring transparency and accelerating India’s bioenergy transition.

- On September 17, 2025, Rolls-Royce inaugurated its expanded Global Capability and Innovation Centre in Bengaluru, Karnataka, aiming to strengthen engineering, digital capabilities, and enterprise services across Civil Aerospace, Defence, and Power Systems businesses.
- The centre will house Rolls-Royce’s global digital capabilities, enterprise services teams, and engineering units supporting civil and defence operations. The expansion also aligns with plans to double sourcing from India over five years, integrating local suppliers into its global supply chain.
- The Bengaluru hub will become Rolls-Royce’s largest capability centre globally, supporting key corporate functions and fostering talent development, innovation, and engineering excellence. Over 1,400 Rolls-Royce engines already power Indian Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, and Army platforms, with more than 3,000 employees across India contributing to global programmes.

- On September 18, 2025, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), Uttar Pradesh, approved two major industrial projects worth around ₹3,500 crore in renewable energy and automotive manufacturing.
- The RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group will establish an integrated solar ecosystem hub with a 3 GW solar cell facility and a 60 MW captive solar and energy storage system on 100 acres of land in Sector-8D of YEIDA, involving an investment of over ₹3,000 crore.
- The solar hub aims to utilize advanced technologies like TOPCon and Perovskite-Tandem cells, promising 28–30% efficiency and lowering electricity generation costs by up to 15%. It is expected to create 1,200 direct and 4,000 indirect jobs.

- On 18 September, 2025, The Department of Fisheries (DoF) under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, said it has signed a technical cooperation programme agreement with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations to develop Blue Port infrastructure in India.
- Secretary Abhilaksh Likhi emphasized fishing ports as gateways to economic, ecological, and social growth. The programme integrates 5G, AI, automation, and digital platforms with FAO support to pilot upgrades, ensuring sustainability and efficiency in fisheries operations.

- On September 15, 2025, Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) in Visakhapatnam launched the Innovation Passport (i-Passport), a single-access gateway designed to transform healthcare ideas into market-ready solutions, during a visit by Centre’s Principal Scientific Advisor Ajay Kumar Sood.
- AMTZ, led by MD and founder CEO Jitendra Sharma, enables start-ups and innovators to fast-track prototyping, validation, and manufacturing. The i-Passport offers seamless access to R&D facilities, fabrication labs, testing centres, and regulatory resources within one integrated ecosystem.
- With 75 incubators already onboard linking over 1,000 start-ups, AMTZ aims to expand beyond 200 incubators. The i-Passport connects innovators with partner incubators, industry networks, mentorship, collaborations, and funding support, reducing costs and time to market while boosting global competitiveness.

- In a significant enhancement to Delhi's healthcare infrastructure, 101 new Ayushman Arogya Mandir units, five new hospital blocks built at a total investment of Rs 503.49 crore, and 150 dialysis machines across government hospitals were inaugurated on the occasion of Prime Minister's birthday on 17 September, 2025.
- The initiative aims to improve emergency, critical care, and maternal and child health services in Delhi. The five-hospital infrastructure project is designed to expand hospital capacity and introduce advanced medical facilities throughout the city.
- Among the key additions is the newly established trauma block at the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Mangolpuri, named the Sant Shri Durbal Nath Ji Trauma Block.
